Abstract

Corn is one of Indonesia's mainstay food crops, apart from rice and soybeans. Corn is a plant that has great potential in Indonesia. Corn has a relatively high source of carbohydrates and calories (energy). Corn carbohydrate content ranks fourth after rice, sweet potatoes and cassava. Corn (Zea mays) is one of the most important carbohydrate-producing food crops in the world, apart from wheat and rice. For residents of Central and South America, corn kernels are a staple food, as are some people in Africa and some people in Indonesia. At present, corn has also become an important component of animal feed. Another use is as a source of food oil and a base for cornstarch. The need for corn as a raw material for making corn flour or corn flour always increases every year, because the content of nutrients and vegetable protein in corn makes this snack very popular with many people. The nutritional content in corn is as high as the nutritional content in whole corn, the difference is that the fiber in the corn dregs is higher. Even so, the vegetable protein in corn dregs is still there and if it is processed into confectionery it is still beneficial for the growth of the human body. The high vitamin B in corn is very good for the development and development of children. Corn is a commodity that is usually processed into a variety of foods, one of which is corn chips. Although corn chips have long been known, their marketing distribution is still on a local scale as a result of which corn chips are not well known by the public. It is still rare for people to use corn to be processed into chips. Generally, corn is processed into pop corn, flour, and others for animal feed needs. Since entering the covid pandemic, many businesses have been affected, thereby reducing sales turnover, including corn farming. The solution given to farmers is through processed corn into other forms of food that can be sold for profit, one of which is corn flakes. The solution provided to partners is through training in making corn chips, business management, digital-based marketing for corn chips in order to attract market attention. This activity gave rise to a new business that could become a mainstay product typical of the Lengkiti District, so that in the future it is hoped that it will be able to realize the Lengkiti District as a corn processing center. With attractive packaging and online marketing, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the income of corn farmers in Lengkiti District, especially after the covid pandemic.

Abstract

Gampong Gugop is a village which is located in the structure of Pulo Aceh (Pulo Breuh). The village is surrounded by the ocean. The majority of the livelihoods of the surrounding community are fishermen, and most of the residents have a very low level of education. Therefore, the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities broadly aim to provide food skills training to community members, especially housewives. The priority problem for partners is the number of housewives who are less productive which causes low income per capita . PKM offers a solution to overcome this problem. The solution is to provide skills training in the food sector. Especially the skill of making Kupingu (purple sweet potato pie) with the demonstration method. The results achieved after the training, (a) partners become motivated and enthusiasm in building the family economy. (b) procurement of equipment to support the Kupingu production process (c) training on good and neat product packaging, finance, marketing and product innovation training. This activity is expected to provide benefits and facilitate the development of partner businesses and provide a multiplier effect on other types of food businesses.

Abstract

Multimedia is a technology-based interactive media to convey information through both print andelectronic media. Multimedia that is often used and seen is using electronic media such as video because it iseasy to understand. There are 5 elements of multimedia, namely text, images, audio, video and animation. Ifthese five elements are put together, a very good multimedia product will be created, such as movies and soon. This training is carried out in order to increase students' knowledge about multimedia for provision whenthey graduate from school to work in companies or open businesses in the multimedia field. The method usedin this activity is the lecture method, namely providing an explanation or presentation of material aboutmultimedia to students and also the discussion method, namely a question and answer session after thelecture method is carried out, here students ask questions related to the material and the presenters provideanswers according to the questions asked. The result of this activity is that students understand more aboutthe differences between multimedia communication and multimedia content production as well as theelements of multimedia. Students were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity because a lot ofknowledge was gained during the activity.

Abstract

To improve teacher competence in learning English, it can be improved through training. Thisactivity was carried out at the Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya and IAIN Palangka Raya byface-to-face eight times (8x) meetings in August 2022 - January 2023 attended by 26 teachers fromvarious madrasah and Islamic boarding schools at MTs and MA levels under the auspices of the Ministryof Religion of Kalimantan Tengah Province. They accompanied by 5 trainers and a Master Trainer. At theend of the ELTT Batch I activities in 2022, 26 teachers had successfully completed this program andreceived competency certificates equivalent to 100 JP. Through this activity, it was hoped that Englishteachers throughout Indonesia will gain valuable experience in interactive methods of teaching, be moreconfident, and have a strong professional network. It is hoped that in the next batch, the quota for Englishteachers will be opened to the public. So that teachers who live outside the city of Palangka Raya (in theProvince of Central Kalimantan) can join this program.

Abstract This PKM activity originated from the interest of the lecturers in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Unbara, so that the writing of proposals and reports for lecturers and students in SouthSumatra, OKU Baturaja district, was in accordance with the rules of the Ministry. This activity gave rise to new businesses that could become partners' signatureflagship products, especially the Lengkiti District.

Abstract

The more we read, the more information we get, such as reading in a library, the more knowledge we get. The library also acts as a liaison between sources of information and students whowant to develop their knowledge and experience. The library's efforts to increase students' readinginterest are carried out by strengthening the library's institutions. In general usage, the method is definedas a method or procedure used to achieve certain goals. Methods are defined as ways of presentinglearning materials to achieve the goals that have been set. Therefore, the skill of choosing a method issomething that must be mastered by the teacher. Of course, the selection of methods must be directlyrelated to the teacher's efforts in presenting lessons according to the situation and conditions so thatlearning objectives can be achieved optimally. By using this method, it is expected to increase students'reading interest in the regional archives and library services in the district. East OKU. The role of thelibrary in order to improve the quality of education, namely: fostering a love of reading, fosteringawareness of reading, and instilling reading habits among the educational community, guiding andaccelerating the mastery of reading techniques, expanding and deepening the learning experience, helpingthe development of language conversation and students' thinking power, fostering awareness to use andmaintain shared library materials, providing basic information retrieval capabilities.

Abstract

There are many processed fish products which are a source of income for MSMEs, especially those living in areas around the river, such as MSMEs spread across OKU Regency, South Sumatra. Processed products such as kemplang crackers, pempek and fish floss are the main products produced by many MSMEs. Fish bones are a product of processed waste that is mostly wasted, even though it still contains a lot of calcium and protein which is not only found in the fish meat, but also in the bones. Utilizing fish bones into foods such as crackers and kemplang can of course increase the income of MSMEs. The remaining fish bones must of course undergo several treatments before being processed. The idea to process fish bones into a new processed food ingredient, namely fish bone crackers, can actually bring benefits and provide added value for fish-based MSMEs. The texture of fish bone crackers remains tasty and crunchy, with almost no difference from the texture of other crackers, in fact many people don't think that the main ingredient in making crackers is processed leftover fish bones. This service activity was carried out at fish-based MSMEs in OKU Regency with the raw material being fish bones left over from processed crackers which were then reused to be processed into fish bone crackers.

Abstract

The number of child smokers currently continues to increase. So prevention must be carried out by providing education from an early age. The purpose of this service is to provide education to gain knowledge for the children of Ie Seuum Village, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province regarding the dangers of smoking and marijuana abuse. The method used is lectures and discussions using PowerPoint slides. The activities carried out include children in Ie Seuum Village gaining knowledge about the dangers of smoking and marijuana abuse including various types of cigarettes and marijuana, the dangerous chemical content of cigarettes and marijuana, chronic diseases caused by smoking and marijuana abuse, and the risk of disability. life and death, and the basis of state and religious laws regarding cigarettes and marijuana. Children responded well to educational activities, understood the material presented, were interested in the pictures displayed, asked questions about the dangers of smoking and marijuana and answered questions from educational presenters.

Abstract

The purpose of the socialization that we have carried out on May 16, 2023 is to provide an understanding to the people of Laya Village regarding welcoming the 2024 elections regarding community participatory monitoring of the 2024 elections. Where the community plays an important role in the implementation of elections because society is an object in influencing the quality of general elections in legislative and executive bodies. Because if there is a lack of the level of public participation in supervising elections, there will be violations in the electoral process. Where in the socialization process this provides space for discussion to the public regarding the material that has been submitted, namely about the role of the community in election supervision. During the discussion, several questions were asked to the public (audience) to measure the public's understanding of the material presented by the speaker. The community was very enthusiastic to answer the questions posed by the speakers with various answers according to the opinions of each community (audience).
