Abstract

This Community Service activity is carried out with the aim of providing understanding, knowledge, and fostering a willingness to learn to read. This is so that students have adequate abilities in reading. Community Service Activities (PkM) were carried out in Fajar Jaya Village, Lengkiti District, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency. The steps for implementing this PkM activity are as follows. (1) Observing students' learning experiences. (2) Identifying problems experienced by elementary school children in reading. (3) Providing counseling. (4) Evaluate the results of children's/students' understanding. (5) Improving the comprehension results of elementary school children through reading guidance. Based on the test results, the reading ability of elementary school children in Fajar Jaya village has increased. The average score before being given guidance and counseling, the average ability of these children only reached 65, whereas after providing counseling and guidance, the average reading ability of these children reached 82. This shows that their abilities have increased. More focused reading, better ability to understand reading content, and reading speed at standard level.

Abstract

Community activities will of course experience various threats and obstacles, in this case the discussion will be about the existence of social movement actions which result in misuse of water areas. The role of this movement is to provide education and assistance to the community to fight for their right to obtain clean water. The use of river water has become a core thing in life as a creature that needs water every day, so that its cleanliness and purity must be protected, apart from that, rivers become a field for various types of activities by humans, animals, ecology, and even industries. who is standing. Water pollution will not escape from the side-by-side between government and industry, so in this research it is intended that there is the emergence of a social movement of people who are in the midst of river water conditions which should be in the community's domain or riparian as the concept of hydro-hegemony is called for everyday life. -days not for self-rule interests by elites in local areas. The theoretical use of the concept of Hydro-Hegemony used in this research is taking the theory put forward by Mark Zeiton and Jeoren Warner as a study of hegemony in the waters of the River Watershed (DAS) and becomes a study of social movements in society, namely Jhon J Macionis who divides various the concept of social movements in terms of emergence, merger, bureaucracy and decline of social movements so that in their decline there are various types of classifications that are appropriate in resolving the case, namely success, failure, cooperation, pressure and/or as the main current in the social movement. In the methodology aspect, in this case, it is based on the opinions and concepts of Jhon W Creswell, his case study where researchers can have a direction to photograph, as in the case of opposing water pollution in the Cidurian river, Gembong Village, which is really water pollution and the interests contained in it, So this research is interesting because there is a theme about water politics which begins or is framed with water pollution actually occurring in the Cidurian River, Gembong Village, until in the end the results of the researchers made direct observations where the social movement of the community had to withdraw due to the interests of several actors. those in power in the area.

Abstract

Leadership is something that is very necessary for a leader. This is because the leader is the highest position in the company who plays an important role in realizing the company's goals. Leadership is abstract so it can only be seen from the results, namely the results of providing motivation to employees. Without a leader who has a leadership spirit, it is impossible for a company to realize its vision and mission. Leaders must have a positive and energetic soul and have a vision and mission that is in line with the company's vision and mission. A leader must also be able to direct, organize and control all resources, both human resources (employees) and material resources so that company goals can be achieved. This training aims to provide learning related to the spirit of leadership to students so that when running an organization at school or an organization outside of school, students already understand how to be a leader (leadership) and students also understand being a responsive and innovative leader. This training is also carried out to fulfill the lecturer's obligations, namely implementing one of the tri dharmas of higher education, namely community service.

Abstract

This service is motivated by the problems faced bystudents in learning tolisten to stories, so that students feelbored and lazy to take part in learning, as a result learning out comes decline. This dedication aims to improve students' ability to listen to a story through the application of audio-visualmedia. The method of implementing activities includes 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the activity implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The target of this training activety is the 3rd grade students of SD N 1 OKU. The results of the implementation of this service activity are students who understand more quickly, are motivated and active in participating in story listening learning activities, students whoget scores above the minimum completeness criteria increase to 50%, previously only 25% of the total number of students, the ability to listen to stories in students experiences improvement, this is evidenced from seeing the results of evaluation tests that were answered well by students.

Abstract

Economic problems are inseparable from the social life of society. Innovative and developmental ideas are needed to improve the economy, especially in building micro and macro businesses. In Karang Endah Village, mangoes are not further processed before being marketed so that their selling value cannot increase. In addition, Karang Endah villagers also lack understanding of the use of social media as an e-commerce platform to market their products. Therefore, residents in Karang Endah Village and Baturaja University made a business idea, namely the development of mango fruit products into contemporary products (Manggo Sago) with e-commerce-based marketing in Karang Endah Village, Lengkiti District to develop village potential for economic activities and the results turned out that mango fruit can be a product that can be used as an attractive business with a higher selling price compared to mango fruit before processing, this business is also easier with e-commerce-based marketing using several media such as Instagram, Facebook, Shopee, Youtube and others.

Abstract

Ant sugar or ant sugar is another preparation from palm juice or sugar palm (Arenga pinnata Merr), in crystal form like granulated sugar. The solid form of processed sap water is brown sugar or palm sugar. Ant sugar is rich in nutrition, containing calcium, minerals and vitamins which are very good for health. Its easy and practical form for mixing drinks and cakes makes this sugar much sought after abroad. That is why Indonesia is still an exporting country for ant sugar to this day. Simpang Sender Village is a central area for ant sugar craftsmen in OKUS Regency. During the Covid era, many businesses were affected, resulting in reduced sales turnover, including the ant sugar business. Problems in the form of uncertain production capacity, very traditional packaging and limited marketing have left many ant sugar craftsmen in increasingly worrying conditions. Promotion is still limited by word of mouth, limited product variations and low motivation from craftsmen, making this business increasingly worse even though opportunities for developing this business are still wide open. This business should be able to develop better with assistance and guidance to ant sugar craftsmen. The solution that can be given to ant sugar craftsmen is through assistance in the form of production management training (increasing production capacity and diversifying ant sugar products by modifying spice mixtures such as ginger and lemongrass extracts), business management training, digital-based marketing and improving packaging to attract attention. market. The technology for processing ant sugar with modified ginger and lemongrass will give rise to a new variant of ant sugar which can become a mainstay product typical of Simpang Sender Village, especially South OKU Regency. With taste innovation, attractive packaging and online marketing, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the income of palm sugar craftsmen in South OKU Regency

Abstract

This article examines the literacy assistance activities carried out at SD Negeri 01 Mendayun as an effort to improve students' reading and writing skills. The assistance is provided through various methods and strategies to facilitate effective and enjoyable learning. The research method used includes participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the literacy assistance activities have made a significant contribution to increasing students' reading interest and writing abilities. This article also discusses the implications of the research findings for the development of literacy programs in elementary schools.

Abstract

Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam suatu organisasi,dimana kunci keberhasilan suatu organisasi terletak pada kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yangmengendalikan dan menjalankannya. Universitas Baturaja sebagai salah satu institusi Pendidikan Tinggi,dituntut untuk berperan aktif menghadapi tantangan global sehingga untuk menghasilkan lulusan yangunggul dan berkarakter diperlukan perencanaan dan pengembangan yang tepat dan berkesinambungan.Rencana Pengembangan Dosen merupakan proses yang secara sistematik mengkaji keadaan Sumber DayaManusia (SDM) untuk memastikan bahwa jumlah Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dengan keterampilanyang tepat, akan tersedia pada saat mereka dibutuhkan. Untuk itulah kami melakukan pengabdian denganmenganalisis strategi pengembangan karir dosen di Universitas Baturaja dengan metode SWOT. Dimanahasil akhir yang diharapkan nantinya Universitas Baturaja memiliki dosen berkarakter sesuai dengan visi,misi, tujuan, dan sasarannya. Serta hasil akhir pengabdian ini terpublikasi ke dalam Jurnal PengabdianKepada Masyarakat (ABDIMAS) Universitas Baturaja.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan produk olahan berbasis pisang sebagai inisiatif untuk memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Jaya Sakti. Dengan tujuan utama meningkatkan potensi lokal dan kontribusi terhadap pembangunan ekonomi desa, penelitian ini menggambarkan langkah-langkah yang diambil untuk mengembangkan produk bernilai tambah dari pisang. Pelatihan intensif diberikan kepada kaum perempuan desa sebagai produsen utama, mencakup teknik produksi, manajemen kemasan, dan strategi pemasaran. Dengan fokus pada kemasan yang menarik, produk olahan pisang ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan dampak positif pada perekonomian desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga, tetapi juga menginspirasi ide usaha di kalangan masyarakat desa. Dengan komitmen terhadap kualitas produk dan keberlanjutan, kegiatan ini berhasil memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Jaya Sakti dalam mengoptimalkan potensi lokal untuk pembangunan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Sistem perpustakaan digital lebih efektif dibandingkan sistem perpustakaan secara tradisional. Dimana sistem perpustakaan yang diterapkan dan memberikan pelatihan pada perpustakaan Genangan Ilmu Kampung Keramat dengan fitur pendataan koleksi buku, data sumbangan buku, peminjaman, pengembalian, pencarian buku, laporan peminjaman dan laporan pengembalian. Sistem perpustakaan ini memudahkan petugas Genangan Ilmu dalam proses pendataan, peminjaman, pengembalian serta laporan. Pelatihan ini dilakukan oleh Tim pengabdian dimana pelatihan diberikan secara teknis yaitu dengan praktek langsung oleh Petugas. Tim pengabdian mengajarkan pemanfaatan dan fungsi fitur yang tersedia pada sistem perpustakaan. Dimana fitur yang di ajarkan berupa fitur pendataan buku, sumbangan buku, peminjaman, pengembalian dan laporan dengan periode mingguan dan bulanan.
