Abstract

The prior technology allowed clients to view only available products, without providing functionality for direct payments and service orders through the application. Users were limited to browsing a catalog of products, such as food, accessories, and pet pharmaceuticals. However, they were required to visit the store in person to acquire items or request services such as grooming, health assessments, and pet boarding. This constraint rendered the transaction process inefficient and curtailed consumer convenience. The absence of online payment options restricted clients' flexibility in selecting payment methods that met their preferences, such as bank transfers or cash-on-delivery (COD). This research develops an information system that facilitates direct ordering and payment through the application, thereby overcoming these limitations. These new capabilities enable users to effortlessly order services such as grooming, pet boarding, or health assessments, in addition to acquiring necessary items. The application accommodates various payment options, including bank transfers and cash on delivery, providing considerable flexibility for consumers. This application is developed using the Flutter framework for the frontend, ensuring a responsive and visually appealing user experience, and CodeIgniter for the backend, which manages server functionality and data handling. Through these changes, a technological services and vital pet care firm in Cianjur aims to attract additional customers, enhance its sales potential, improve customer satisfaction, and expand its market share in Cianjur and surrounding regions

Abstract

In Indonesia, the majority of residences continue to utilise traditional keys for door access.  Keys are essential for house security; nonetheless, numerous criminals can circumvent this protection.  A viable option to avert similar tragedies is to substitute the door security system with facial recognition technology.  This security system employs CNN programming and an Arduino application.  It utilises an ESP32 to autonomously open and close the door and engage a buzzer upon detecting a potential intruder.  This research examines facial recognition technology utilised for door unlocking.  The device exhibits a success rate of 71.4%, evaluated under various situations across five trials for each object.  Further upgrades to the gadget and system developed from this research can be achieved by incorporating more features and tools for detecting low light levels in a room.  Furthermore, the system might be engineered to detect from considerable distances, such as many kilometres away.

Abstract

Swift technological advancements have impacted multiple areas, including healthcare.  The One of The Foundations in Bandung, which provides home care services for the elderly and ailing, encounters difficulties with its nurse booking system, which remains manually operated via WhatsApp and phone calls.  This method yields inefficiencies, substantial administrative overhead, and potential human errors.  This study aims to develop a web-based information system utilizing the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to enhance the efficiency of nurse booking and selection.  The SAW technique was selected for its capacity to manage multi-criteria decision-making, including factors such as healthcare tool utilisation, experience, age, and evaluations.  The system includes online booking, criterion administration, evaluation weighting, and integrated reporting.  This system enhances nurse booking and selection efficiency, alleviates administrative loads, and reduces potential errors, thereby significantly impacting healthcare service efficacy and advancing information technology in the healthcare sector.

Abstract

Tax avoidance is an important issue that impacts state revenue, particularly in the manufacturing sector, which contributes significantly to the national economy. This study aims to verify the influence of company size and capital intensity on tax avoidance among manufacturing firms for the period of 2021-2024 at Indonesian Stock Exchange. The research employs a quantitative verifiable method with a panel data approach. Sampling is conducted using purposive sampling techniques targeting manufacturing companies that meet the research criteria. Data analysis is performed using panel data model testing, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that company size does not have a notable impact, while capital intensity demonstrates a significant positive effect on tax avoidance. This suggests that as the ratio of fixed assets rises, firms are presented with more opportunities to utilize tax avoidance tactics via effective management of depreciation. The results indicate that that as the proportion of fixed assets increases, companies have greater opportunities to employ tax avoidance strategies through depreciation management. These findings have implications for tax authorities and corporate management to consider internal factors influencing tax compliance, promoting a fairer, more transparent, and sustainable tax system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect enjoyment of work and job crafting on employee performance at a shoe factory in Bandung. This research is based on fluctuations in employee performance over the past few years and pre-survey results indicating suboptimal employee performance. The method used was descriptive and verification analysis with 86 respondents from 593 employees. The analysis was conducted using correlation, path analysis, and coefficient of determination. The results of the study indicate that enjoyment of work, job crafting, and employee performance yielded quite good results. There is a positive relationship between enjoyment of work and job crafting with a correlation of 0.887 and a coefficient of determination of 80.1%. The direct effect of enjoyment of work on employee performance is 13.1%, while the direct effect of job crafting is 31.1%. The indirect effect of both enjoyment of work and job crafting is 17.9%. The total effect of enjoyment of work and job crafting is 80.1%, while 19.9% is influenced by other variables not studied. The results emphasize the necessity for managers to adopt output-based management practices rather than rigid time-based systems. This shift can foster a culture of responsibility and autonomy, motivating employees to take ownership of their work and enhancing their commitment to organizational objectives. Overall, the implications of this study can guide organizations in implementing effective strategies to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and performance.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the proportion of senior pilgrims performing the Hajj is rising annually, and by 2024, it will account for almost 30% of the total quota. In this case, particular consideration must be given to pilgrims' health readiness prior to departure. Inaccuracies, delayed information, and subjective decision-making may result from the manual health evaluation process used by a Bandung tour and travel agency for pilgrims. The purpose of this study is to use the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) algorithm to develop a web-based decision support system and examine the decision-making process for the health of senior Hajj pilgrims. Rapid Application Development (RAD) is used in the system development process. Physical fitness, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels are among the health parameters that are used. The system's ability to objectively determine pilgrims' eligibility, rank them, and recommend testing results based on health categories (Accompanied, Unaccompanied, Recommended) demonstrates its objectivity. This solution reduces assessment errors, speeds up the evaluation process, and improves data management effectiveness.

Abstract

The provision of clean water is a fundamental necessity that depends significantly on consumers' prompt payment of bills for its operational sustainability. The administration of a housing complex in Bandung is experiencing significant difficulties with overdue payments, which are affecting its financial and operational stability. The existing strategy for managing delays is reactive, rendering it ineffective at preventing debt accumulation. This research proposes adopting the Decision Tree algorithm as a predictive method to address this issue. This research employs a quantitative methodology that uses predictive techniques, drawing on previous secondary data on customer water bill payments. The technique utilized is CRISP-DM, encompassing phases of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, assessment, and implementation. In the data preparation step, missing values are resolved, feature engineering is performed (calculating average monthly payments), irrelevant columns are eliminated, and categorical variables are encoded. The dataset is subsequently split into 80% for training and 20% for testing. The Decision Tree Classifier model is constructed and trained utilizing the processed training data. Model performance is assessed using Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score measures, along with Confusion Matrix analysis and feature significance evaluation. The testing results indicate that the model achieves 78% accuracy in forecasting client payment status (On Time or Late). Nonetheless, the model continues to yield satisfactory outcomes as a preliminary alert mechanism for possible delays. This study demonstrates that machine learning can enhance billing efficiency and customer management within the housing complex in Bandung.
