This study aims to analyze the influence of influencer culture on public opinion and political mobilization in Indonesia. Using descriptive quantitative methods and purposive sampling approaches, data was collected from 400 respondents of active social media users who followed digital influencers who voiced political views. The results of the analysis show that digital influencers have a significant influence in shaping political views and mobilizing political action among their followers, especially the younger generation. These findings reveal that trust in influencers plays an important role in amplifying the effects of this influence. Based on agenda-setting theory, influencers act as agents who are able to direct public attention to certain issues, strengthen political participation, but also have the potential to pose challenges related to the accuracy and objectivity of information. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of digital literacy and regulatory settings to prevent the potential manipulation of political information through social media.

This study uses a content analysis method on two podcast episodes: "Deliberation-in Political Dynasties, SYL Corruption, and Mass Organization Mining Permits" from the Narasi Conference podcast and "Land for Rice Field Printing Projects in the Land of Papua" from the podcast Bocor Alus Tempo. The results of the study show that journalistic podcasts are able to present in-depth and interactive discussions on social, political, and environmental issues that are not always comprehensively raised by mainstream media. The study concludes that podcasts have great potential as a more flexible and reflective journalism medium, but they face challenges related to regulation, content credibility, and sustainable business models. The suggestions provided include improving ethical and regulatory standards in podcast content production, empowering indigenous peoples in development projects, and exploring business models that support the sustainability of independent podcasts in Indonesia.

This research discusses polemics and political dynamics in Cirebon ahead of the 2024 Cirebon Mayor and Mayor Candidate General Election. As part of the democratic process, the general election in Cirebon presents a fierce competition between candidates driven by local political interests and the influence of elite groups. The study aims to identify the factors that cause tension and competition in these elections and to explore their impact on local communities. The method used was qualitative descriptive with purposive sampling, in-depth interviews, and participatory observation. The results of the study revealed that the "White and See" campaign strategy and the limited capital of candidates were key factors in the decline in campaign enthusiasm. In addition, the emergence of a coalition of major political parties has further increased political tensions and polarization in Cirebon. These findings are expected to contribute to understanding the impact of political polemics on social stability and local democracy.

The phenomenon of Islamophobia has become a rapidly growing global issue, reinforced by negative representations of Islam and Muslims in public narratives, both through traditional and social media. These representations shape public perceptions that often associate Muslims with violence and extremism, exacerbating social tensions between communities. This study aims to analyze the patterns of representation of Islam and Muslims in traditional media and social media and identify differences in the characteristics of narratives on both platforms. The method employed is a qualitative approach based on critical discourse analysis (CDA), utilizing data from 200 traditional media articles and 100,000 social media posts related to Islam and Muslims between 2020 and 2025. Analysis was conducted using NVivo 14 software to code themes, sentiments, and narrative framing. The results showed that negative representations dominated, with 50% of traditional media news and 70% of social media posts portraying Islam negatively. The findings support Cultivation and Framing theories, which state that exposure to media content shapes long-term social perceptions. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of media literacy, reforming journalistic ethics, and developing community-based counter-narratives to reduce the spread of Islamophobia and foster fairer representations of Muslims in the public sphere.

The development of digital technology has changed the way religious teachings are disseminated, with social media becoming the main channel for preaching to the younger generation. This phenomenon illustrates the transformation of religious authority from physical to virtual spaces, shaping the way Indonesian youth understand and internalize religious values. This study aims to analyze how digital da'wah communication strategies shape religious perceptions among Indonesian youth. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this study examined 150 da'wah contents from five popular preachers on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The data were analyzed using NVivo 14 software, which helped identify da'wah themes, communication styles, and audience responses. The results show that the personal storytelling approach and creative visualization are the main strategies in shaping religious perceptions that are more personal and contextual. Most of the content focuses on the themes of morals and worship, although intolerance-themed content still has high emotional appeal. This research confirms the importance of faith-based digital literacy to strengthen youth resilience against extreme religious content. The implications of this research underscore the need for collaboration between religious institutions, academics, and digital platforms in building a moderate and inclusive da'wah ecosystem in the social media era.

Digital transformation has created a new space for religious authority formation, encouraging the emergence of online religious figures that influence urban Muslim communities. This study aims to understand the perceptions of urban Muslim communities regarding online religious authority and to identify the factors that influence their acceptance or skepticism of online religious figures. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 30 respondents from Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya, and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques assisted by NVivo 14. The results show that perceptions of online religious authorities are selective and contextual; 40% of respondents trust traditional clerics more, 25% accept online preachers, 20% show skepticism, and 15% adopt situational trust. Factors such as educational background, communication skills, openness, and consistency of teachings are key in building trust. This research highlights the importance of strengthening digital literacy in the realm of religion. It underscores the need for an online preaching certification program to maintain the credibility of the digital space. The findings make a crucial contribution to understanding the dynamics of religious authority in the digital era and form the basis for developing effective da'wah strategies that are relevant to the needs of contemporary urban Muslim communities.

The development of digital media, particularly YouTube, has changed the landscape of Islamic proselytization among millennials. This platform has become the primary source for young people to understand religious teachings, replacing the dominance of traditional religious institutions. This study aims to evaluate the influence of Islamic content consumption on YouTube on the Islamic understanding of millennials in Indonesia, as well as identify the type of content that most effectively shapes religious perceptions. Using a quantitative correlational approach with a survey method involving 400 respondents, the data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression techniques, aided by SPSS 26. The results showed that consuming moderate da'wah content and engaging in intellectual discussions significantly increased the level of rational, inclusive, and critical understanding of Islam, whereas consuming conservative content tended to be negatively correlated with religious openness. Factors such as educational background and religious intensity are also shown to moderate the relationship. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening religious digital literacy among millennials, developing moderate digital da'wah platforms, and collaboration between content creators, religious institutions, and social media platforms to build a credible and educational digital da'wah ecosystem.

The transformation of social media has brought about significant changes in the religious communication patterns of Indonesian Muslim communities. This study aims to understand the actual practice of applying Islamic ethics in social media communication and identify the challenges faced in its application. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with 25 urban Muslim informants, this study analyzed the data using thematic analysis techniques assisted by NVivo software. The results found that principles such as tabayyun (verification of information), ukhuwah (maintaining brotherhood), prohibition of ghibah and namimah, politeness of language, and maintaining da'wah intentions are the central values in online communication. However, the implementation of these values often faces challenges in a digital culture that tends to be fast-paced, emotionally charged, and highly competitive. This research highlights the tension between the idealism of Islamic values and the reality of social media culture, underscoring the importance of strengthening community-based Islamic digital literacy. The practical implication of this research is the need for collaboration between da'wah organizations, educational institutions, and social media platforms to build a digital space that is ethical, productive, and reflects the values of Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin.
