Abstract

The problem in this study is Is there an Effect of Arm Muscle Strength Training on Upper Passing Ability in the Volleyball Game of SMA Negeri 3 Tondano Students? Research Objective: to find out how much influence arm muscle strength training has on upper pasing ability in volleyball games of SMA Negeri 3 Tondano students? Research Hypothesis: There is an Effect of Arm Muscle Strength Training on Upper Lifting Ability in the Volleyball Game of SMA Negeri 3 Tondano Students. The research method used is an experimental method with treatment in the form of exercises given for eight weeks. The population in this study is all female class X students totaling 72 people and a sample of 20 people, then divided into 2 groups by lottery that got an odd number is the experimental group and the one who gets an even number is the control group. Data collection instrument: Upper Passing Test. The research design used: randomized control groups pre-test and post-test design. The hypothesis test uses statistical techniques with the t-test. The results of hypothesis analysis obtained t observations worth 15,546 while t tables obtained from the degree of freedom n-1 + n2 – 2 are 10 + 10 – 2 = 18 and the level of confidence = 0.05 is 2,101. According to the test criteria, accept Ho if t observation is smaller than t table and reject Ho if t observation is greater than t table. Because t observations are greater than t tables, the results of the analysis show rejection of Ho and acceptance of Ha. Research conclusion: there is an effect of arm muscle strength training on upper passing ability in volleyball games of SMA Negeri 3 Tondano students

Abstract

This study aims to compare the daily test results of Physical Education, Sports, and Health Education (PJOK) between students of SD Inpres Rabiajala in the Kepulauan Aru Regency, located in the 3T (Underdeveloped, Frontier, and Outermost) area, and SD Inpres Kinali in the Minahasa Regency, located in self-sufficient area, with consideration of the differences in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) in both schools. This research uses a quantitative approach with a comparative design, where the research sample is taken using purposive sampling, specifically sixth-grade students from both schools. Data was collected using the documentation method to obtain the daily test results of PJOK. The findings showed that the average daily test score of students from SD Inpres Rabiajala was 80.62, while SD Inpres Kinali obtained an average score of 85.34. Hypothesis testing using the t-test formula resulted in a t-value of -2.86154, which is lower than the t-table value (2.000), indicating that H0 is rejected and there is a significant difference between the two schools. This finding suggests that the Free Nutritious Meal Program has a significant impact on the PJOK daily test results, thereby reinforcing the importance of the sustainability of nutrition programs in schools to support students' academic achievement and health. This research is expected to provide insights for educational policy, particularly in integrating nutrition as a supporting factor for student learning success.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents are a group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems. If food intake exceeds nutritional needs and lack of physical activity results in the accumulation of body fat and will eventually become obese. Sleep quality also plays a role in determining nutritional status. Quality sleep can affect nutritional status especially against the incidence of obesity, and can refer to hormonal and metabolic changes that lead to weight gain and obesity. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between sleep quality and Body Mass Index (BMI) in students at SMA Negeri 1 Guru Lombok Kalawat. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Guru Lombok Kalawat with a sample of 75 respondents. Sleep quality data was collected using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire while the body mass index was calculated using BMI and classified using the WHO Growth Standards. The results of the study used the analysis of chi-square test data that the relationship between sleep quality and body mass index with a correlation coefficient value of 0.564 > 0.05 which means that there is no relationship between sleep quality and body mass index in students of SMA Negeri 1 Guru Lombok Kalawat.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is: What is the effect of arm muscle strength training on the ability to swim 25 meter breaststroke in students of the PKL FIKKM UNIMA Department? The aim of the research is: To determine the effect of arm muscle strength training on the ability to swim 25 meter breaststroke in students of the PKL FIKKM UNIMA Department. Research Hypothesis: There is an influence of arm muscle strength training on the ability to swim 25 meter breaststroke in students of the PKL Department of FIKKM UNIMA. The research method used is the experimental method. The population is all 20 male students of Class B Semester I Department of PKL FIKKM UNIMA. Because the population is small, a total of 20 people will be used as samples, divided into two groups of 10 people each in the control group. The research design uses: Pre-Test and Post-Test with Randomized Groups. Hypothesis testing uses statistical techniques with the t test. The results of calculations using t-test statistics obtained an observation t value of tob = 3.303. Meanwhile, from the table of critical values t with a real level of a = 0.05; n_1+n_2-2 obtained a t table value of ttab = 2.101. This fact shows that the value tob = 3.303 > ttab = 2.101, thus the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.

Abstract

Children are the jewel or hope of the family. Everyone has obligations and responsibilities towards their children to grow up healthy. However, during childhood, children are often susceptible to infection, because children are often affected by various diseases, one of which is febrile seizures. Febrile seizures are the most common neurological disorder in children. The impact of febrile seizures if left untreated will damage brain cells due to lack of oxygen in the brain, excess secretions and the risk of emergencies for airway aspiration which causes airway obstruction, if not treated properly there is a risk of death, but when a child has a seizure, the mother often experiences confusion in dealing with febrile seizures due to lack of knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Health Education on Mothers' Knowledge in First Aid for Febrile Seizures in the Edelweys Room, Bhayangkara Hospital, Level III, Manado. The research design used the Quasi Experiment method with a one-group pre-post test design. The population in this study was 50 mothers. The number of samples in the study was 16 respondents. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with the T-Test test. The results of this study indicate that before being given health education, the mother's knowledge was mostly sufficient knowledge, there were 11 respondents (68.8%), and after being given health education, there was an increase in mothers with good knowledge, there were 13 respondents (81.2%), the bivariate results of the samples studied showed the Effect of Health Education on Mothers' Knowledge in First Aid for Febrile Seizures in the Edelweys Room of Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Manado with a value of ρ = 0.000 <α = 0.05. There is an Effect of Health Education on Mothers' Knowledge in First Aid for Febrile Seizures in the Edelweys Room of Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Manado. These results are expected to be input for research locations regarding the importance of mothers' knowledge in providing first aid to children experiencing febrile seizures.
