Abstract

Physics learning is often considered difficult and boring by students, which impacts their low learning motivation and active engagement in class. Students' communication skills and attitudes are important factors that can influence the success of physics learning. This study aims to analyze the relationship between students' communication skills and their attitudes toward physics learning at SMA Negeri 1 Dolok Grade X. The research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research population consists of all Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Dolok with a saturated sample of 30 students. The research instruments include a communication skills questionnaire (30 items) and an attitude toward physics learning questionnaire (24 items) using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation test with SPSS 17. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant and strong relationship between students' communication skills and their attitudes toward physics learning. Improvement in communication skills can contribute to the formation of positive attitudes among students in physics learning. This can be seen from the R Square value of 0.630, indicating that communication skills contribute 63% to students' attitudes in physics learning.

Abstract

In the process of learning physics, it usually requires a lot of practice so that media needs to be displayed to make it easier for students to understand. Education that develops all students' potential harmoniously and comprehensively, emphasizing problem-solving skills not only supports students' academic learning, but also prepares them to face the dynamics of the digital era. The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of YouTube-based digital literacy on problem-solving abilities in physics learning in class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Sibolga. In this study, the researcher used a quantitative experimental research method by selecting a sample of class XI MIA 1 as the control class and class XI MIA2 as the experimental class. From the results of the pretest and posttest in the control and experimental classes, the level of physics problem-solving abilities of the two classes was still very low, which can be seen from the average value and KKM of each class. However, after the learning process, the level of students' ability to solve physics problems increased for each class, but the most significant increase was especially in the experimental class that implemented YouTube-based digital literacy, which was 22.99%. The results of the statistical test showed that tcount 4.55> ttable 1.68, for a significance level of 95% and α = 0.05 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This shows that the use of YouTube-based digital literacy media in learning fluid theory material can improve students' abilities in solving physics problems. The increase in students who have KKM in the control class is 38.89% and in the experimental class is 42.85. It can be concluded that the application of YouTube-based digital literacy to the physics problem-solving abilities of class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Sibolga on Fluid subject matter is much more influential than conventional learning.. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between student engagement in physics learning and the academic achievement of Grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak Julu. The research employs a quantitative correlational design, involving 32 students as respondents. Student engagement data were measured using a validated questionnaire, while academic achievement was assessed through performance tests. The analysis results indicate an average student engagement score of 78.22, with the majority of students categorized as moderate. The average physics learning achievement score was 81.91, reflecting good performance. Pearson correlation analysis revealed a correlation coefficient of 0.712 with a significance value of 0.018, indicating a significant positive relationship between student engagement and physics learning outcomes. These findings emphasize the importance of active student participation in enhancing academic performance. This research is expected to provide insights for teachers in designing more effective learning strategies.

Abstract

The background of the problem in class The aim of this research is to determine the effect of active knowledge sharing learning strategies on student learning activeness and student learning responses to rectilinear movement material at SMK NEGERI 1 ANGKOLA TIMUR. This research is descriptive research involving class (XB) and class (XA). Data was collected through observation sheets. Observation data were analyzed using the learning activity percentage formula. The results of the observation sheet analysis show that after being given the active knowledge sharing learning strategy, the resulting scores were, class (XA) got 85.31% with the "Very Active" criteria and class (XB) got 69.98% with the "Active" criteria and The results of response analysis from the entire questionnaire data obtained were 93.28% gave positive responses and 6.68% chose negative responses with the criteria "Very Interested". So it can be concluded that the use of active knowledge sharing learning strategies has an influence on students' active learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between intelligence adversity with learning achievement in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis. This study uses a quantitative research approach with the correlation method. This research includes population research. The subjects used were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Muara Batang Gadis, totaling 32 students. The data in this study were obtained using the adversity intelligence scale and student report cards in the first semester. Adversity quotient here refers to aspects of control, origin and ownership, reach, and endurance. And learning achievement in this study is the value or result obtained from the evaluation or other aspects which are quantified and reflected in student report cards in the first semester.

Abstract

This research uses classroom action research. The stages are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This activity uses data collection instruments through tests of students' understanding of physics concepts. The population used was students of SMAN 1 Sinunukan and the sample used was class X1 students with a total of 30 students. The data analysis technique uses the average value and student learning completeness value from pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. Abstract

In distance learning, this is a new thing for physics learning methods in schools, especially being a challenge for educators. Online and face-to-face learning takes turns creating a new atmosphere in the learning process. There were many obstacles during its implementation. The school also provides several alternatives in dealing with obstacles experienced in the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is entitled Analysis of Constraints and Alternatives to Physics Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period at SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan with the aim of knowing the obstacles experienced and the alternatives provided in helping the learning process of physics at SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. The approach that the author uses in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach, this is obtained from an incident that occurs in the surrounding environment so as to produce the necessary information. From the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the obstacles experienced by teachers, both online and face-to-face learning, were the difficulty of knowing the level of understanding of each student, determining the right learning model during the COVID-19 pandemic, and lack of understanding in the use of technology. Students find it difficult to learn independently and do not understand the material given because it is only limited to theory. Schools find it difficult to determine appropriate actions for the learning process, and provide distance learning facilities on a regular basis. In dealing with these obstacles, several alternatives are given, namely, schools provide permission to conduct online learning activities, provide facilities in the form of internet quotas, send pdf and video books related to physics subject matter and conduct discussions among teachers in introducing technology. At face-to-face meetings, the school determines the learning schedule by taking turns, following the health protocol.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that physics material is considered complicated, because it has many formulas that must be memorized, the delivery of material by the teacher only sends assignments without explaining in more detail because learning is only via online. The objectives of this study were: (1) To determine the significant effect of online learning using Google Classroom on the improvement of students' physics learning outcomes during Covid19 Class X SMA Negeri 1 Sayur Matinggi; (2) To determine student responses to the ongoing online learning process.This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research instruments used were questionnaires and online interviews in google form format. The questionnaire was given to students who were learning online in physics subjects. The results of the study stated that learning using google classroom for students in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic helped in learning and understanding physics subject matter, while in practicum activities it was felt less effective. The number of students who have used the google classroom application is 6.25% disagree, and 6.25% disagree. The first indicator, as many as 46.875% of students, stated that they did not agree with the ease of accessing the google classroom application. The second indicator was 59.375% of students agreed to understand the learning material using google classroom. The third indicator was 56.25% of students agreed to the effectiveness of using the google classroom application. The fourth indicator was 40.625% of students agreed to use the google classroom application in physics practicum. The lowest score was obtained as much as 40.625% on the indicators of using the google classroom application in physics practicum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation of scientific attitudes to understanding concepts in the Material of Temperature and Its Changes in Class VII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Angkola Barat for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. The formulation of the problem in the research conducted is whether there is a correlation between scientific attitudes towards understanding the concept on the Material of Temperature and Its Changes in Class VII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Angkola Barat for the 2023-2024 Academic Year?. This research method uses a type of quantitative research with a correlation research type. The sample used was 30 students at Class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Angkola Barat. The instrument used for scientific attitude using a questionnaire with a Likert scale and understanding of concepts is the result of student exams using temperature and its changes. Data analysis techniques using normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test. And test the hypothesis using the correlation test. The results showed that there was a relationship between scientific attitude and conceptual understanding of the material temperature and its changes in class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Angkola Barat.
