Abstract

Science learning in high school faces challenges in improving students' process skills, such as observation, experimentation, and analysis. One strategy that can be used to improve these skills is to develop Student Activity Sheets (SAS) that are tailored to the context and needs of students. This study aims to develop LAS that is effective in improving science learning process skills in high school. This type of research is a qualitative approach. The main data sources of this study include students and science teachers in several high schools, which were obtained through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the application of LAS specifically designed for science learning can increase students' involvement in learning activities and their ability to develop scientific process skills. A total of 85% of students showed improvement in active participation during experiments and class discussions, while 90% of students felt more engaged and able to understand the material better. Teachers also reported that the LAS helped lead students to apply science concepts in everyday life and strengthen their understanding of the scientific process. These findings indicate that the developed LAS can be an effective tool in improving students' process skills, as well as supporting more meaningful and active science learning at the high school level.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of multicultural communication in inclusive learning in schools with cultural diversity. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The main informants in this study include teachers, principals, and students from several inclusive primary schools. The main objectives of this research are to understand how multicultural communication strategies are implemented in the context of inclusive learning, identify the challenges faced, and evaluate the effectiveness of the approach in creating a harmonious and inclusive learning environment. The results show that teachers in inclusive schools have implemented various communication strategies to accommodate students' cultural diversity. These strategies include the use of language that is easily understood by all students, the integration of teaching materials that reflect various cultures, and the application of participatory teaching methods that encourage intercultural interaction. In addition, teachers act as facilitators in intercultural discussions, allowing students to share their experiences and perspectives. However, this study also identified a number of challenges, such as language differences that cause difficulties in understanding the material, the existence of stereotypes and prejudices among students, as well as resource limitations such as the lack of teaching materials that reflect cultural diversity and the need for training for teachers in managing multicultural classrooms.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of Field Experience Practices (PPL) students in increasing student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, the main data sources of this research include PPL students, students, and supervising teachers in the schools where PPL is conducted. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of related documents. The results showed that the presence of PPL students significantly contributed to increasing students' learning motivation. PPL students implemented various innovative teaching strategies, such as the use of interactive learning media and a personalised approach in guiding students. Students reported increased enthusiasm and understanding of PAI materials during the PPL period. In addition, the supervising teacher observed an increase in students' active participation in the learning process.

Abstract

The transformation of education in Indonesia through the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum has encouraged the implementation of various innovative learning models in schools and madrasah. This research aims to analyse the effectiveness and challenges of implementing Inquiry Learning, Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, Blended Learning, and Flipped Classroom learning models in improving learning quality and students' 21st century skills. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews with 30 educators in schools and madrasahs, classroom observations, and analysis of education policy documents. The results show that the implemented learning models are able to increase student engagement, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in learning. Blended Learning and Flipped Classroom models received positive responses regarding flexibility and accessibility, although there are still obstacles in digital infrastructure readiness. Meanwhile, the Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning models proved effective in building students' problem-solving and cooperation skills

Abstract

  21st century education demands innovative learning models that can increase students' interest in learning. The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) learning model comes as an interdisciplinary approach that integrates various fields of science to create a more contextualised and applicable learning experience. This research aims to find out the implementation of the STEAM learning model in increasing students' interest in learning at the primary and secondary school levels. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The research informants consisted of teachers and students in schools that have implemented STEAM-based learning. The results showed that STEAM implementation increased students' interest in learning by creating a more active, collaborative and problem-solving-based learning environment. Students showed increased intrinsic motivation, engagement in scientific exploration, and critical and creative thinking skills. In addition, this study also found that the main challenges in STEAM implementation are teacher readiness, limited facilities, and the need for a more comprehensive evaluation system.

Abstract

The application of Islamic values in the sociology of education in Islamic schools is an important study in an effort to shape the character of students who are not only academically superior but also have high morality. Islamic education does not only focus on cognitive aspects but also on the internalisation of ethical and social values in daily life. This research aims to analyse how Islamic values are implemented in an Islamic school environment and how it affects the social interaction and character building of students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data sources consisted of principals, teachers and students in several Islamic schools selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis of curriculum and education programmes. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis method to identify patterns of Islamic values implementation in Islamic school education. The results showed that the application of Islamic values in Islamic schools is reflected in the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, character building through social interaction patterns, and extracurricular activities based on Islamic values. The findings confirm that Islamic schools act not only as educational institutions but also as socialisation agents that shape individuals with integrity. However, challenges in integration with the national curriculum as well as limited resources are still the main obstacles. Therefore, a more systematic strategy and support from various parties are needed to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of Islamic values in education.

Abstract

The quality of education in the digital era demands a deeper and more adaptive learning approach. Deep learning as a learning strategy oriented towards conceptual understanding and critical thinking is a solution in improving the quality of education. This concept emphasises students' active involvement in the exploration, analysis, and application of knowledge in a real context. However, the implementation of this method in various educational institutions still faces challenges, especially in the readiness of educators and supporting infrastructure.This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to explore the application of deep learning in quality education strategies. The data sources consist of teachers, lecturers, and students who have direct experience in this method, selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Data were analysed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of implementation, impacts, and challenges in implementing deep learning. The results show thatdeep learning has a positive impact on students' conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and creativity. The implementation of this method through project-based learning (project-based learning) and inquiry-based approach is proven to increase students' active engagement. However, challenges such as educators' readiness and limited infrastructure are still the main obstacles. Therefore, a more systematic strategy is needed in integrating deep learning into the education system so that it can be implemented effectively.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Quality education is the primary goal of modern learning systems. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of educational strategies based on deep learning and student psychology in improving education quality. Using an experimental approach in a quantitative study, this research involved 10th-grade students in a high school in Blora who had been using an adaptive learning platform powered by deep learning for one semester. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations, with random sampling techniques ensuring a representative sample. Primary data were obtained from students and educators, while secondary data were gathered from academic documentation and relevant literature. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including t-tests and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to test research hypotheses. The findings indicate that implementing deep learning-based educational strategies and student psychology significantly enhances education quality. Deep learning technology enables a more personalized and adaptive learning experience, while a positive psychological approach improves students' motivation and psychological well-being. The validity of the study was ensured through data triangulation, expert validation, and instrument reliability testing. The study concludes that integrating deep learning technology with psychological education approaches offers an innovative solution to enhance learning effectiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

The application of digital media in education has great potential to increase students' reading culture awareness. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using digital media in fostering students' reading culture awareness. This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive approach. The data source consisted of fourth grade students at SDN Gresik, who had participated in the digital literacy programme for one semester. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and observations. The results showed that the use of digital media significantly increased students' reading culture awareness. The average time students spent reading increased by 30% and 80% of students felt more motivated to read. In addition, the digital literacy programme successfully involved parents and teachers in supporting students' reading habits at home. These findings show that digital media can provide easy and interesting access to reading materials and create a supportive environment for students' reading habits. Thus, the application of digital media in fostering students' reading culture awareness can be an effective strategy to achieve quality education in the digital era.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential competencies that must be possessed by students in facing the challenges of the 21st century. The Problem Based Learning Approach (PBL) is considered an effective method of developing this skill. This study aims to analyze students' critical thinking skills through the application of PBL in Junior High Schools in Cepu, Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental experimental approach. The data source in this study was a class VIII student of the two classes randomly selected as an experimental group and the control group. Data is collected using critical thinking skills tests given before and after pre-test (pre-test and post-test). The purpose of this study is to identify the extent to which the application of PBL can improve students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average post-test score of the experimental group increased significantly from 55 to 78, while the control group only increased from 56 to 62. T-test statistical tests showed a significance value of 0.001 (p <0.05). The results of this study support constructivist theory and social learning theory that emphasizes the importance of active learning and social interaction in the learning process. The application of PBL has proven effective in developing students' critical thinking skills, so it is recommended for educators to implement this method in their learning.
