Abstract

Habituating healthy and nutritious eating patterns from an early age plays a strategic role in shaping cognitive development, particularly children's learning concentration. This study aims to analyze the effect of healthy eating habits on the learning concentration of early childhood at SPS TAAM Al Jamal, Bungursari, Kota Tasikmalaya. The approach used is descriptive quantitative with a correlational design, involving 40 children aged 4–6 years from groups A and B, as well as 6 accompanying teachers. Data were obtained through two main instruments, namely a healthy and nutritious eating habits questionnaire filled out by teachers and parents, and an observation rubric of children's learning concentration during learning activities. The results showed an average healthy eating habits score of 3.13 on a scale of 1–4 with a predominantly high category (69%), indicating that most children already have good and regular eating habits. Correlation analysis using the Pearson Product Moment test yielded an r value of 0.68 (p < 0.01), indicating a positive and significant relationship between healthy eating patterns and children's learning concentration levels. Children who maintain regular eating habits demonstrate longer attention spans, perseverance in tasks, and positive responses to teacher instructions. These results affirm that nutrition education programs based on healthy eating habits in early childhood education settings should be systematically integrated into learning activities, with active collaboration between teachers, parents, and educational institutions to enhance learning readiness and human resource quality from an early age.

Abstract

Motor physical development is one of the fundamental aspects of early childhood growth. During the golden period, proper stimulation of this ability will have a significant impact on a child's motor skills in the future. One form of stimulation that can be provided is through traditional games. This article uses a literature study and observation method regarding the implementation of the “Chicken and Fox” game in children aged 5-6 years. Data were collected through observation of children's activities while playing, then analyzed based on gross motor development indicators. The analysis results indicate that this game can stimulate speed, strength, agility, coordination, and body balance. For example, running exercises the leg muscles, while the role of the 'Mother Hen' in protecting her chicks requires agility and coordination. Thus, the game 'Chicken and Fox' is an enjoyable as well as educational alternative to optimize the motor development of young children, and it aligns with local culture, enriching the stimulatory experiences for child development.

Abstract

Character education in discipline among elementary school students plays a strategic role in shaping attitudes of responsibility, orderliness, and independence from an early age. However, various findings in the field indicate that the implementation of disciplinary values in elementary schools is still not optimal and tends to be normative. This study aims to describe the process of internalizing the character value of discipline in elementary school students through a literature review using a qualitative descriptive approach. Discipline as an essential character value plays an important role in shaping students' responsibility, orderliness, and independence. However, the phenomenon in the field shows that the implementation of the value of discipline in elementary schools is still weak. This study uses data sources obtained from sixteen accredited national scientific journals published between 2015–2025. The results of the analysis indicate that the internalization of the character value of discipline can be done through habituation in routine school activities, teacher role models, strengthening school culture, and integration in thematic and religious learning. The main supporting factors include the role of teachers, parental support, and a conducive school climate. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are low student awareness and weak supervision in the implementation of discipline. This study confirms that the internalization of the character value of discipline in elementary schools needs to be carried out sustainably through synergy between schools, families, and communities to shape the character of responsible and integrity students.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively understand the personality traits of Generation Z teachers in the educational context. The primary focus is to identify the personality traits of Generation Z teachers according to theory and then examine how these traits relate to the roles and responsibilities of teachers in the school environment. This study also aims to analyze the implications of these traits on the dynamics of learning and professional interactions in schools. Furthermore, this study seeks to explain the potential strengths and weaknesses of Generation Z teachers' personalities, which could impact overall educational performance. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review to analyze theories and scientific findings on Generation Z teacher personality. Data were obtained from primary sources such as generational theories, personality theories, and related journals, as well as secondary sources such as books, educational reports, and official documents. Data were collected through a structured literature search and analyzed using content and thematic analysis to identify key concepts and develop a comprehensive synthesis without field data collection. Generation Z teachers' personalities significantly influence education through their technological skills, creativity, and open communication, which support innovative learning. Their rapid adaptation helps them navigate curriculum changes and digital demands. However, their tendency to be easily distracted, their dependence on technology, and their sensitivity to work pressure can hinder their professionalism. These characteristics also influence interactions in schools. With the right mentoring and support, the potential of Gen Z teachers can be optimized to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Munif Chatib's thoughts on educating Generation Z teenagers through the multiple intelligences approach. Generation Z, as digital natives, grow and develop amid rapid advances in information technology, digital media, and globalization, which have a major influence on their mindsets, behaviors, and learning styles. These conditions demand an educational model that not only emphasizes academic achievement and cognitive intelligence, but also develops the emotional, social, moral, and spiritual aspects of students in a balanced manner. Education oriented towards human values is very important so that Generation Z teenagers do not lose their identity amid the tide of modernization. Through his works such as Sekolahnya Manusia (School of Humans), Gurunya Manusia (Teachers of Humans), and Orangtuanya Manusia (Parents of Humans), Munif Chatib offers a humanistic, contextual, and learner-centered educational paradigm. He emphasizes that every child is born with different uniqueness, intelligence, and talents, so the educational process cannot be standardized. Munif Chatib's thinking is based on the theory of multiple intelligences proposed by Howard Gardner, which states that human intelligence is diverse and unique to each individual. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach. The results show that the multiple intelligences approach is relevant in the education of Generation Z adolescents because it can encourage character development, creativity, self-confidence, and a balance between academic and non-academic abilities. The role of teachers as facilitators, motivators, and mentors is key to the successful implementation of multiple intelligences-based education. Thus, multiple intelligences-based education can help Generation Z adolescents develop optimally as well-rounded individuals who are intelligent, have good character, and are adaptable to the challenges of the times.
