Abstract

Research on the carrying capacity of the environment for mining activities, as indicated by the dynamics of stored carbon stocks will be carried out in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan in early 2022. Data was collected both through literature studies and surveys calculating tree diameter at breast height in the field as a basis calculation of stored carbon stock. Land cover spatial data analysis is used as a reference for calculating stored carbon stocks at the study site. The results of a comparison of stored carbon stocks between forest and land clearing and reclamation based on planned mining activities show that the area that can be utilized is 1,578.3 Ha. There are efforts to restore carrying capacity and carrying capacity based on mining activities with broad impacts that can be used is 1,947.84 Ha. The usable area can be increased 1.2 times from the recommended area (2,337,415 Ha) to accommodate the required land as an overburden area. This addition is made possible through the application of various appropriate technologies. The carrying capacity of the environment in this study, although only limited to the dynamics of stored carbon stocks, shows that the results can be used as a solution for overlapping permits in forest areas in accordance with the laws and regulations in effect since the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has so far provided a maximum area of 10 percent of the area areas affected by overlapping cases.

Abstract

Cilembu sweet potato is one of the superior products of Cilembu Village, Pamulihan District, Sumedang Regency, West Java Province. Sorting is an important part of post-harvest activities with the aim of separating crops according to certain weight group levels. Grouping based on weight can be done using 2-dimensional (2D) image processing methods. The purpose of this study was to classify Cilembu sweet potatoes based on weight groups using 2D image processing methods. This study uses a 2-dimensional image processing method as an intelligent system in selecting Cilembu sweet potatoes based on size using a sorting tool. The results of the test, the system built can classify Cilembu sweet potatoes by weight with an error value of 6.67%.

Abstract

Endophytic microbes are microbes capable of colonizing and symbiotic with plant tissues. Trichoderma has been known as an endophytic fungus with a symbiotic relationship of mutualism including root colonization by helping root growth, nutrient absorption and resistance to stress and pathogens. This study consists of two steps, namely: (1) isolation and identification of Trichoderma, (2) endophytic test of Trichoderma isolate by root staining method and plant root culture. Seven isolates were shown to result in better plant growth and plant roots. Based on plant root culture tests, it was found that all plants contained Trichoderma, but based on T. Koningii and T. Polysporum root staining tests. It cannot be certain to colonize the root tissue of test plants. Based on the test results, Trichoderma has the potential to be a biological fertilizer (Biofertilizer) that can help optimal plant growth and can be applied in agriculture that applies the concept of sustainability.

Abstract

The sea is one of the sources of wealth in Indonesia. Damage to and on the sea greatly impacts marine ecosystems and the livelihoods of people on the coast. Oil spills are the main source of marine pollution. Several ways of handling oil spills are carried out utilizing mechanical removal, using sorbents, and using dispersants. This countermeasure is carried out in offshore sea areas so that large ships and human resources are needed are many and qualified technologies needed that can help handle oil spills can be done remotely by designing a wireless system that can control an unmanned waste oil cleaning robot. This study aims to get the results of Bluetooth module as a wireless control system for waste oil cleaning robots and to implement Bluetooth module for this robot control system. The design of this robot control system utilizes the HC06 Bluetooth module as a connection to connect to the smartphone and uses the Arduino Uno R3 block to enter algorithm programming to be able to drive a waste oil cleaning robot. Bluetooth module testing is carried out with treatment with and without obstacles with a range of 1-15 m. Tests were also carried out to move the robot to go forward, backward, and turn right, and left. The control of the waste oil cleaning robot can be properly connected at all ranges with unhindered treatment at all ranges. While the treatment with obstacles can only be connected up to a distance of 9 m. The performance of the cleaning robot to move forward, backward, turning right, and left with a 100% success rate. Based on the test data, it can be concluded that the Bluetooth module HC06 and Arduino Uno R3 can be applied to control robots cleaning waste oil.

Abstract

Cilembu sweet potato is an agricultural product that is in great demand by the community. One of the processes carried out after harvesting is determining the weight of the cassava. This weight measurement is done to classify Cilembu sweet potato according to weight so that the selling price of the product can also be adjusted. Sorting by weight can be done using image processing methods. This method is more accurate than other sorting methods. The purpose of this study was to separate Cilembu sweet potato products based on weight using image processing methods. This study uses 2-dimensional image processing to determine the weight of Cilembu sweet potato. The results of this Cilembu sweet potato sorting machine research obtained the value of the linear regression equation x = (y – 10476) / 153.05 and the value of R-squared (R²) = 0.759 . The results of heavy testing have an average error of 7.62%. The standard deviation of the presentation error is 5.61.
