Abstract

Wire harness is one of the most important components in two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles which functions to transmit electric current and signals to motorized vehicles. CV. HIJ is a company engaged in the automotive sector. This company produces various types of wire harnesses for several companies in Indonesia. The checker machine is a tool used to check electric currents and signals.The checker machine is a very important step in the wire harness manufacturing process.Based on the background, this research focuses on the flow of the wire harness productionprocess, the checker machine to study the repair and maintenance of the checker machine, and to find the cause and effect on the checker machine pins using the fishbone diagram method. The function of the fishbone diagram aims to find the cause andeffect of the broken pin experienced in the checker machine. The analysis uses 4 of the 6 main factors, because there are only 4 factors that affect the process of checking thewire flow. The cause of a broken pin there are 4 factors, namely: material, machine, method, and human. Of the 4 factors that affect pin pata the most, humans are caused by lack of training and poor behavior at work.Checker machine at CV. HIJ has 10 preventive daily maintenance or preventive maintenance. Preventive maintenance at the company has not been used optimally and there is an additional point according to the author, namely how to enter the pin correctly.Aims to minimize damage to the checker machine.

Abstract

Mikrohidro merupakan pembangkit listrik berskala kecil, yang memanfaatkan aliran sungai kecil atau irigasi. Mikrohidro juga termasuk sumber daya terbarukan dan layak disebut Clean Energy, karena ramah lingkungan,energy terbarukan yang dapat di kembangkan dan memanfaatkan aliran air yang ada di sekitar pedesaan.Pembangkit Mikrohidro selalu memanfaatkan potensi ketinggian air tertentu (head).kemudian di konversikan menjadi energi litrik melalui turbin dan generator sehingga muncul presepsi bahwa air mengalir dengan ketinggian sangat rendah tidak dapat digunakan Mikrohidro penelitian ini menggunakan sudu setengah lingkaran penelitian ini memahami laju air serta putaran kincir menganalisa listrik yang di dapat dari generator tersebut. Peneliti akan menulis dan mengetahui daya yang di hasilkan dari generator listrik. Kata Kunci : Rancang Bangun, mikrohidro, daya, listrik

Abstract

Peningkatkan produktivitas sangat penting bagi perusahaan untuk mendapatkan keberhasilan pada proses usahanya. Dimana salah satu contoh peningkatan produktivitas adalah dengan proses produksi pada suatu perusahaan . CV. XYZ memiliki mesin crimping berjumlah 3 buah dan sering mengalami down time. Faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas mesin crimping adalah Availability, Performance Rate, dan Quality Rate. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi optimasi dan perbaikan pemeliharaan tiga buah mesin crimping. Metode yang digunakan adalah mencari nilai dari Overall Equipment Effectivitness, lalu menganalisa Down Time untuk mengetahui factor-faktor penyebabnya. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan nilai Overall Equipment Effectivitness selama 7 hari sebesar 62,51% dan fokus penyebab Down Time adalah factor mesin dan manusia. Dengan diadakan penelitian ini, peneliti ini berharap dapat memberikan refrensi rinci bagi CV. XYZ untuk melakukan perbaikan ataupun inovasi kedepannya terkait prosuktivitas produksi.

Abstract

Biogas is an alternative energy that can be utilized by the community, especially in rural areas with a variety of mixed materials that are easily obtained. Various alternative biogas mixtures have been developed by researchers for the feasibility of the quality of the biogas produced. Various mixtures of biogas-forming materials were researched and developed, according to the level of need. Therefore, this research is an analysis of the form of biogas that focuses on a mixture of cow dung waste with organic waste. There are three comparison compositions tested. The first composition ratio is 50 kg: 5 kg (cow dung with organic waste), the second ratio is 40 kg: 15 kg and the third ratio is 30 kg: 25 kg. The data obtained that the best test results in the third test were with a composition of 30 kg: 25 kg. The total composition of the mixture of cow waste and vegetable waste greatly affects the biogas production produced. The digester used in the study used a batch type. Each mixture composition was tested 3 times to get valid results.

Abstract

Currently, the availability of fossil energy is decreasing, the use of fossil energy has been overused. So that we need renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources to replace the depleting fossil energy. One of the renewable energies that can be used as a substitute for fossil energy is water energy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding a water flow concentrator on the performance of the Savonius Type Vertical Shaft Water Turbine. This study used experimental design research. The results showed that the addition of a water flow concentrator affected the performance of the turbine. The Savonius Type Vertical Shaft Water Turbine with a concentrator gives a higher effect on the water flow rate of 2.17 m / s, with a turbine rotation of 94 rpm, the highest turbine power produced by the turbine is 176.6 Watt, and the turbine efficiency is obtained 85%

Abstract

In technology that is currently very advanced, especially in the field of engineering or automotive, there are many types of motorcycles and each has its advantages and disadvantages. The more advanced the technology, the more different motorcycles from time to time starting from fuel economy, increased engine performance and other supporting technologies, motorcycles are required to be operated or run on various road conditions. However, the engine that functions as the prime mover on a motorcycle cannot do well what the road conditions require or demand. For example, when the road is climbing, a motorcycle requires a large torque (torque) but the speed or speed of the motorcycle required is low. In planning the engine elements this time, the author will calculate the diameter of the shaft and the effectiveness factor as well as the actual braking time on the front wheel disc brakes of the 2014 Yamaha Vixion 150 cc motorcycle, which is one of the engine elements. An axle and brake must have a proper and sturdy construction to support the load and keep the engine speed to function properly and the brake effectiveness factor must also be following what has been planned. From the calculation results obtained, the diameter of the shaft specification on the Yamaha Vixion 150cc motorcycle is 17 mm while the diameter of the calculation is 16.33 mm and the effectiveness factor of the front disc brake of the Yamaha Vixion 150cc is 0.60.Keywords: Technology, Shaft diameter, Effectiveness factor, Disc brake

Abstract

Advances in science and technology in the industrial world today have resulted in the increasing need for materials for the ingredients of a product. Therefore, many new types of materials have been developed that resemble the properties of metals that can absorb or have high strength, such as old composite materials. Composite material is an alloy of two or more materials that have strong mechanical properties from the constituent materials. Composites consist of two main parts, namely the matrix as a binder and filler as a filler of the composite. One of the natural fibers that can be used as reinforcement for composites is pineapple leaf fiber and banana leaf fiber. The matrix used is polyester resin, the composite is made using the ASTM D 638 standard. This study aims to determine the effect of the ratio of fiber volume fractions on the composite of pineapple leaf fiber and banana midrib fiber in order to produce a high performance material. The results of mechanical testing in the tensile test of the composite have the greatest tensile strength and modulus of elasticity at the composition of 15% pineapple leaf fiber and 15% banana midrib fiber, which is 43.25 MPa tensile strength and 2.12 GPa modulus of elasticity. And the largest strain is in the composition of 5% pineapple leaf fiber and 5% banana midrib fiber, which is 4.21%.

Abstract

As knowledge and technology increase, everyone will need electricity to carry out daily activities. Existing electrical energy sources are very limited. Various attempts were made to find new sources of electrical energy. One of them is a thermoelectric generator. Thermoelectric generators are electrical generator devices that convert heat (temperature difference) into electrical energy through the seeback effect. In this study, using 3 thermoelectric generator modules with type SP 1848 arranged in series with Z-shaped copper plates as heat receivers and  heatsink filled with water as a cooling medium. The research was carried out by utilizing the heat energy from a concrete road when exposed to solar radiation with a class III cast concrete type with K 450 placed on a medium with a size of 550 mm x 300 mm x 100 mm. The results of the research conducted show that the maximum power generated by using concrete produces a power of 15.21 mW when solar radiation is 1022 W / m2 . With energy that is generated continuously every day, it is possible for this research to be developed so that it can be used for alternative energy needs in the future.

Abstract

Welding is a metal joining technique by partially melting the parent metal and filler metal with or without additional metal and producing a continuous connection. One type of welding that is often used is SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) welding. In SMAW welding, the influence of the current used plays an important role in welding. Because it affects the results of the strength of the welded joint. This research was conducted to determine the mechanical properties of tensile testing and microstructure under the influence of different currents. In this research, the test material was S45C steel and the current variation is 90 A, 110 A, and 120 A with the type of electrode used being E7016 LB57. The results obtained from the tensile test have the optimum value at 120 A with a tensile strength of 49.43 kg/mm while 110 A with a tensile strength of 43 kg/mm and 90 A with a tensile strength of 11.04 kg/mm. for testing the microstructure seen in the welded parts and the heat-affected area.

Abstract

Spot welding merupakan proses penyambungan material plate dengan menggunakan teknik pengelasan resistansi listrik, dengan menggabungkan dua atau tiga material plat logam yang di jepit di antara ujung senjata sehingga terjadi persinggungan pada saat arus, hingga suhu pengelasan tercapai dan tekanan ujung yang bersinggungan akan membentuk sambungan las . Mutu dan karakteristik dari titik ditentukan oleh beberapa faktor seperti waktu pengelasan, besarnya arus, tegangan listrik, diameter ujung senjata dan besarnya tekanan. Rumusuan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu perhitungan dalam kekuatan sambungan las titik senjata dan Batasan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu perhitungan dan sifat – sifat bahan jika terkena pengobatan panas. Bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang penerapan ilmu dan teknologi yang ada di lingkungan industri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan pengamatan objek yang akan dilakukan penelitian. Dan melakukan perhitungan untuk mengetahui hasil kekuatan las,tegangan,beban paralel dan input panas. Hasil dari perhitugan kekuatan las 144.92,5 Kg/cm2 , koneksi 3,33 Kg/mm2 , dan Heat Input 32.000 KJ.
