Abstract

Penguatan kinerja kader DSSJ (Deteksi, Skrining, dan Surveilans Jiwa) dalam menangani masalah kesehatan mental, khususnya di Kabupaten Magelang diperlukan agar program dapat berjalan secara berkesinambungan. Gangguan kesehatan mental yang sering disebabkan oleh tekanan dari lingkungan atau masyarakat membutuhkan perhatian komprehensif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan mental individu, keluarga, dan masyarakat. Meskipun kader DSSJ memiliki peran penting sebagai garda terdepan dalam deteksi dini, edukasi, dan rujukan, berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan keterampilan, sumber daya, serta kurangnya motivasi masih menjadi kendala. Pengabdian masyarakat di Dusun Semaitan ini menggunakan metode seperti kunjungan rumah, skrining SRQ-29, edukasi masyarakat tentang isu kesehatan mental, dan diskusi interaktif dengan kader untuk mengevaluasi dan memperkuat kinerja mereka. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada motivasi kader dan kemampuan mereka untuk terlibat dalam upaya promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif. Partisipasi masyarakat dan keluarga yang meningkat juga mencerminkan kesadaran kolektif yang semakin besar akan pentingnya kesehatan mental. Temuan ini menekankan perlunya pelatihan dan pemberian motivasi secara berkelanjutan kepada kader DSSJ untuk menjaga peran krusial mereka dalam mempromosikan kesehatan mental masyarakat. Inisiatif ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan kolaboratif dan terintegrasi yang melibatkan pemerintah, pemangku kepentingan lokal, dan masyarakat untuk mencapai solusi kesehatan mental yang holistik.

Abstract

Background: Cases of hepatitis A, which often infect children, are increasing day by day. Based on WHO data, 1,017,290 people have been infected with hepatitis A, the majority of whom are in the age group of 5-14 years. However, the problem is getting worse with the outbreak of cases of Acute Hepatitis of Unknown Aetiology whose cause is not yet known and infects children. Based on cases that have occurred, one of the main causes of this ettpktraordinary event is PHBS (Clean and Healthy Lifestyle) and poor sanitation. Therefore, this community service activity is needed as a preventive effort. Education is one of the solutions that can be applied, through knowledge and awareness of a healthy lifestyle is very important to be instilled from an early age. Methods: The methods used in this activity are question and answer lectures and role plays with poster media. Results: The existence of this counseling activity makes children understand and enthusiastic about implementing PHBS in their daily lives. Conclusion: Seeing the positive impact of community service will certainly be better if similar activities can be carried out periodically and delivery is more varied.Keywords: Children, education, healthy lifestyle, hepatitis A

Abstract

The Community Mental Health Nursing (CMHN) program is part of a community-based public health initiative. CMHN is implemented in Paingan, Trasan, Bandongan, Magelang. This program aims to improve the mental and physical well-being of residents, with a focus on strengthening CMHN in early detection and management of mental health disorders. The areas of service include promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts. The main challenge in implementing the program lies in the motivation of CMHN volunteers in carrying out activities. After training and mentoring, the volunteers' performance improved, particularly in terms of intervention and support. Continuous training and motivation are essential to optimize the role of CMHN volunteers in supporting community mental health

Abstract

Background: Helminthiasis are an infectious disease that is common in tropical andsubtropical regions. Worms are still one of the problems faced by several countries in the world, including Indonesia. Recorded 100,6 million pre preschool-aged children (pre-SAC) and 400 million school-aged children (SAC) in the world were treated for soil-transmitted helminthiasis (WHO, 2021). As for Indonesia, the only country in the South-East Asia Region that is endemic for schistosomiasis, reported treatment of 159 individuals (SAC and adults) in 2021, for a coverage rate of 0.5%. The high prevalence of helminthiasis indicates the need to provide education to children regarding preventive measures to prevent helminthiasis. One of the preventive measures is to diligently wash your hands in the six steps with soap and running water.Methods: The method of implementing community service includes the preparation,implementation, and evaluation stages.Results: The activity was carried out on December 4, 2022 at the house of a resident of RT 04 RW 04, Timuran. During the provision of education and practice, the children looked enthusiastic in answering and following the directions.Conclusion: Community service by providing education and hand washing practices has a significant impact on children's attitudes and knowledge.Keywords: hand washing, community service, helminthiasis, children, preventive

Abstract

The main factors causing stunting are unbalanced food intake, history of low birth weight (BBLR) and history of disease (Jiang et al., 2015).  Protein deficiency is also often found simultaneously with lack of energy which causes a condition called marasmus (Hildagardis Meliyani Erista Nai et al., 2019). Research Objective to determine the effectiveness of providing additional feeding counseling to toddlers to prevent stunting at posyandu mawar sari. This type of service activity is preceded by a pretest which aims to measure the mother's knowledge before counseling is given. Then counseling was given about related material, after which a post test was carried out with the material that had been given which aimed to measure the mother's knowledge after counseling. The service conducts a pretest with the aim of seeing the level of understanding of counseling participants before counseling, the results of the pre test and post test are very different because the results of the pre test are only 27.50 on average this indicates that the counseling participants do not understand the material to be delivered so that the score is very low. The results of the post test are very good at 94.07. Counseling on supplementary feeding for mothers under five with stunting nutrition and less successful well, based on pre and post activity questionnaires that have knowledge of making supplementary food to prevent stunting increased by 66.57%.

Abstract

Background: Anemia remains a major public health issue, particularly among adolescent girl, due to increased nutritional needs during rapid growth and development. This community service activity aimed to improve knowledge and awareness about anemia prevention and to assess hemoglobin levels among adolescent girls in Gandekan.Methods: The activity consisted of three stages are planning, implementation, and evaluation. Implementation included hemoglobin (Hb) testing using the EasyTouch GCHb device, as well as pre-test, educational sessions, and post-test to assess improvement.Results: The activity was attended by four adolescent girls.The average pre-test score showed 33% correct responses, indicating limited initial understanding and post-test results showed an increase to 48%. Hb examination revealed that some participants had Hb levels below the normal range (<12 g/dl).Conclusion: This community engagement program effectively increased adolescent girls knowledge about anemia prevention and the importance of adequate nutrition. Strengthening education and early screening efforts among adolescent can help reduce anemia prevalence and support better health outcomes.Keywords: Anemia, adolescent girls, education, hemoglobin, prevention

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) masalah serius pada bidang psikiatri anak karena 0,3% dari beban penyakit global. ASD diperkirakan 1 dari 160 anak di dunia dengan 7,6 juta hidup dalam keadaan cacat. Prevalensi ASD meningkat secara global pada 50 tahun terakhir. Banyak kemungkinan penjelasan untuk peningkatan ini, termasuk peningkatan kesadaran, perluasan kriteria diagnostik, alat diagnostik yang lebih baik, dan pelaporan yang lebih baik. Banyak pernyataan anak autism  sering mengalami gangguan tidur. Penelitian mendapatkan 62% dari 26 anak autis mengalami tidur yang buruk.Penelitian menyatakan bahwa 80 % masalah tidur terjadi pada anak autis. Tidur merupakan prioritas utama untuk bayi dan anak. tujuan kegiatan ini untuk mengetahui penerapan efektifitas stimulation massage untuk mengatasi gangguan pola tidur pada anak autism spectrum disorder (asd) usia 24 – 60 bulan pada masa pandemi covid 19. Mulanya kami melakukan pretest yang bertujuan untuk mengukur pengetahuan ibu sebelum diberikan pelatihan dan penyuluhan.  Kemudian diberikan pelatihan pijat dan penyuluhan tentang metri terkait, lalu dilakukan posttes dengan materi yang telah diberikan yang bertujuan untuk mengukur pengetahuan ibu setelah diberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Hasilnya, responden mengalami kenaikan pengetahuan dan peningkatan pola tidur. Kami simpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat diperlukan oleh semua peserta pelatihan, karena dapat memperbaiki pola tidur anak dengan autism, sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan tumbuh kembang anak dengan baik.

Abstract

Lack of knowledge about menstruation can lead to unpreparedness among adolescents in dealing with it. Many young girls are unaware of the impacts following menstruation, such as the maturation of female reproductive organs, fertility levels, and the fact that, sexually, women are ready to have offspring. The level of knowledge of a young girl can influence her readiness to face menstruation. The aim of this study is to determine the level of knowledge of female elementary school students about menstruation. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method, with a population of 61 and a sample size of 34, using Total Sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires with univariate analysis. The results of this study show that 24 students (70.6%) of Integrated Islamic Elementary School Tahfizhul Qur'an Al Ma'shum in grades 4, 5, and 6 have good knowledge about menstruation, 7 students (20.6%) have sufficient knowledge, and 3 students (8.8%) have poor knowledge. The majority of students in grades 4, 5, and 6 of Integrated Islamic Elementary School Tahfizhul Qur'an Al Ma'shum have good knowledge about menstruation, totaling 24 students (70.6%), with most of them being 11 years old

Abstract

Adolescence is a period that is vulnerable to reproductive health problems. One of the problems is about the cleanliness of the genital organs during menstruation. Information about genital hygiene during menstruation is very important for young women, including the knowledge of adolescents to prevent early infection of the reproductive organs. The right strategy to increase knowledge about menstrual hygiene is to provide health education. The purpose of this community service is as an effort to prevent reproductive health problems through increasing knowledge about menstrual hygiene in young women. Participants in this activity were given online education at zoom meetings through power point media and e-posters. The results of this educational activity for adolescents show that after being given education the knowledge of young women seems to increase, this can be seen from the majority of participants being able to answer the post test questions in the form of cases correctly. The conclusion from this community service is that education using power point media and e-posters can influence young women's knowledge about menstrual hygiene so as to increase efforts to prevent reproductive organ disorders.

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the purpose of family planning is to avoid unwanted births, regulate pregnancy intervals, control the time of birth, and determine the number of children in the family. There are several contraceptive methods or devices that can be used, including birth control pills, birth control injections, implants, condoms, intrauterine contraceptive devices (IUD) and medical surgery for women (MOW) (Sari, 2019). Contraceptive devices that have high effectiveness in preventing pregnancy are long-term contraceptives or what are called Long-Term Contraceptive Methods (MKJP). Selected Effective Conception Methods (MKET) include IUD, Implant, MOW, and MOP. The  method  of  implementing  community  service  includes  the  preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Community service activities will be carried out in May 2022, in Gringsing sub-district, Batang district. After conducting education using audiovisual media, it turned out that young couples' knowledge about intrauterine contraceptive devices increased by 40%. In conclusion Audio visual media increases knowledge of couples of childbearing age about intrauterine contraceptive devices.
