Abstract

The growth of the elderly population in Indonesia is increasing every year and there is a risk of several health problems including physical, mental, social problems and the occurrence of several other diseases. The increasing health problems affect the quality of life of the elderly. Therefore, it is important to have a place for the elderly, one of which is the Siti Khadijah Nursing Home in Cirebon City which contributes to the welfare of the elderly through various activities to increase the independence and welfare of the elderly. The Biopsychosocial approach is an effort to improve the welfare of the elderly. Thus, this study aims to identify the initiatives carried out by the Siti Khadijah Nursing Home in Cirebon City to fulfill the welfare of the elderly through the Biopsychosocial approach. This type of research uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Role of the Siti Khadijah Nursing Home has a positive impact on the quality of life of the elderly in fulfilling the welfare of the elderly, especially in the field of health services. This institution is able to meet physical, psychological, social and environmental needs. However, it cannot be said to be successful overall in providing perfect welfare because there are factors that influence the Biopsychosocial approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Public Relations (PR) practitioners in enhancing public services and institutional image for community empowerment at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data sources consist of primary data obtained through interviews with representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga and stakeholders related to PR, as well as secondary data derived from social media and the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and field documentation. The findings indicate that PR at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga plays a strategic role in improving public services, functioning as a communicator, relationship builder, backup management, and good image maker. PR strives to provide the best services with openness and transparency to build public trust in the institution. Additionally, the quality of public services directly contributes to shaping the institution’s image. The key components of image formation perception, cognition, motivation, and attitudes in service enable PR to enhance public satisfaction. Institutional image improvement is further reinforced by the implementation of the "Toleran" slogan (Terbaik, On-time, Lancar, Efektif, Ramah, Akuntabel, Nyaman), which serves as a guideline for service delivery. Thus, the communication strategies implemented by PR play a crucial role in fostering public trust and strengthening the positive image of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the “Ngaji Urip” Taklim Council in religious-based community development in Tanjungrejo Village, Margoyoso District, Pati Regency. The research aims to analyze the council’s contribution as a vehicle for social transformation through spiritual and local wisdom approaches. A qualitative method was employed, with data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results indicate that “Ngaji Urip” successfully integrates religious values with community development across four dimensions: (1) social, by strengthening solidarity and forming farmer groups; (2) economic, through entrepreneurial initiatives such as organic fertilizer production; (3) cultural, by revitalizing local traditions via the Muria Raya Festival; and (4) personal and spiritual, through enhanced life awareness and moral character. The program’s impacts include community empowerment, cultural preservation, and locally-based economic growth. The study concludes that religious-based approaches can offer holistic solutions to modernization challenges, such as social inequality and moral degradation. Further research is recommended to explore replicating this model in different contexts and assessing its long-term effects.

Abstract

Social assistance is a strategy in Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) which of course aims to improve the quality of Beneficiary Families (KPM) of PKH assistance. Social assistance is also an evaluation material for the government to continue to empower its people. This study aims to determine the process and results of the social assistance strategy ofProgram Keluarga Harapan (PKH) in the Cempaka Putih Village, South Tangerang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The informant selection technique uses the snowball sampling technique. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique uses source triangulation. The results of the study showed that the independence of Beneficiary Families (KPM) has increased, but not too significantly with evidence that not all KPM can utilize the support program properly and regularly. In addition, there are still many KPM who depend on PKH assistance in the Cempaka Putih Village, South Tangerang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of organizational communication carried out by the management of the Jami' Al-Ilham Mosque in an effort to empower the mosque, musala, and majlis taklim. Organizational communication is an important aspect in creating synergy, conveying the vision of the ummah, and building networks between religious institutions in the surrounding environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the activities of mosque administrators and fostered partners. The results showed that the communication carried out was two-way and participatory, utilizing various formal and informal communication channels. The communication strategies applied include regular coordination meetings, the use of social media, and a family-based personal approach. The implementation of effective communication contributes to increasing the institutional capacity of the fostered partners, strengthening community solidarity, and expanding the reach of da'wah and social religious activities. This research recommends the importance of strengthening internal communication structures and developing technology-based communication media to support sustainable empowerment.

Abstract

This research examines the factors influencing Gen Z's attitudes towards Islam. Using a qualitative approach through surveys with a small sample size, it was concluded that the factors influencing the study are internal (such as spiritual needs and the desire for self-improvement) and external (such as the theme's relationship with others, groups, and the appeal of da'wah content in the media). Light, relevant, and visually represented studies are more detailed. Social media is effective in influencing Generation Z, but it also helps people choose their content carefully. Preachers are advised to use communicative, contextual, and creative digital platforms to make Islam more understandable to the younger generation.

Abstract

Aspek negatif da’wah melalui media digital tetap menjadi masalah serius yang memerlukan perhatian serius dari para da’i dan ahli komunikasi Islam. Studi kualitatif ini mengeksplorasi pandangan Ustadz Salim A. Fillah mengenai sisi negatif da’wah digital melalui observasi media dan analisis literatur. Data primer diperoleh dari konten YouTube di saluran “Pro-U Channel,” sementara data sekunder diambil dari sumber akademik yang relevan. Studi ini juga mengintegrasikan wawasan dari para cendekiawan yang membahas dampak digitalisasi terhadap spiritualitas Islam, termasuk isu-isu seperti “clickbait” agama, polarisasi moral, dan penyebaran agama secara daring. Data dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi, presentasi, dan verifikasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa, menurut Ustadz Salim A. Fillah, dakwah di ruang digital seringkali kehilangan kedalaman spiritual dan maknanya, menghasilkan pesan-pesan instan dan viral yang kurang memahami substansi bagi audiens. Oleh karena itu, bahkan pesan agama yang positif harus dirancang secara kontekstual dan etis untuk memupuk pemahaman yang bermakna dan transformasi spiritual. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya literasi media dan komunikasi strategis dalam dakwah, dengan menekankan bahwa dakwah digital yang efektif harus tetap moral, kontekstual, dan transformatif untuk menjaga esensi ajaran Islam di era digital.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the waqf land certification policy in Temanggung Regency as an effort to strengthen the legal status of waqf assets and support their use for community welfare. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using field observation, interviews with officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Temanggung Regency, the National Land Agency (BPN), and nazhir, as well as policy document review. Data analysis followed George C. Edwards III’s policy implementation model: communication, resources, implementers’ disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The findings indicate that the free certification program has improved legal certainty and encouraged nazhir to formalize uncertified waqf land. However, several obstacles persist, including administrative delays, inheritance disputes, limited human resource capacity and digital systems, and procedural inconsistencies between sub-districts. The study recommends strengthening public outreach, building nazhir capacity, simplifying inter-agency coordination, and accelerating integrated waqf data systems. Overall, land certification is a critical step in shifting waqf from a primarily consumptive role toward a productive instrument for local socio-economic empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role and impact of BUMDes Jaya Makmur in promoting community economic empowerment through the management of the “Nggodang Lawe” cracker business in Lambangan Wetan Village, Bulu District, Rembang Regency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, in which data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that BUMDes Jaya Makmur plays a significant role in enhancing the community’s capacity and self-reliance through five stages of economic empowerment: awareness, planning, implementation, evaluation, and development. The cracker business program not only increases income and skills but also expands access to capital, training, and markets. Moreover, the program has encouraged active participation among community members—particularly women—in productive economic activities. Overall, BUMDes Jaya Makmur has successfully developed a sustainable community-based empowerment model that strengthens the local economic structure and serves as a driving force for rural economic independence.
