Abstract

The objective of this study was to know the potency of  bacteria zoogloea sp as indigenous bacteria  from shrimp pond farming in colonizing particles. Study of  particle-colonizing capacity of Zoogloea sp by using artificial-sphare agar and transparant exopolimeric particles (TEP) produced by fitoplankton, Thalassiosira weisfloggii. The results showed that Zoogloea sp were able to coloninize both artificial-agar spheres and TEP produced by T. weisfloggii.The mean number of  Zoogloea sp colonizing artificial-agar sphares increasing with incubation time was 2,70 x 104 cells/agar sphere. In the test of TEP-colonizing bacteria showed that Zoogloea sp was able to colonize  the TEP i.e. 2.5 x 108 cells/mL. after 4 days incubation. It can be concluded that Zoogloea sp isolated from shrimp pond farming has a high potential in colonizing particles.

Abstract

Abstract. The high fat in cooking, the provision by frying, the low consumption of fiber from vegetables, the effects of free radical will gradually cause the buildup of fat and cholesterol in the blood. Albedo durian contains essential oils, flavonoids, and saponins that have the potential in the process of prevention or treatment of diseases associated with free radicals, such as cholesterol. This study aims to determine the potential of local durian albedo and durian montong as a natural agent controlling cholesterol in the body. The study was conducted by analyzing the phytochemical samples of local albedo albedo and durian montong in the laboratory. The results showed that the phytochemical compounds contained in the local durian were equal to the durian montong, which included; saponins, flavonoids, tannins, and triterpenoids. Both samples of albedo durian proved to contain no phytochemical compounds of alkaloids and steroids.Keywords: analysis of phytochemicals, albedo durian, blood cholesterol.l park, herbs vegetation.

Abstract

Abstract.  The research aims to analyze ecological value of meiofauna as bioindicator in Losari Coast, Makassar. The total meiofauna abundance was 66791 indv/m2, consisted of 12 phylum and 91 species/genus. The stations located at the mouth of the Jeneberang River, Tanjung Merdeka, and the Tallo River  are research sites with high levels of abundance, due to the presence of organic contaminants produced by surrounding anthropogenic activity that trigger high growth of meiofauna.  ostracoda, oligochaeta, tunicata and ciliophora are the phylum with high levels of abundance compared to other meiofauna, as it that phylum has a high adaptability to the entry of pollutant material in the water. Diversity index and evenness indicates  the meioufauna in the Losari Coast categorized by a high level of diversity and evenly distributed. While  dominance index indicated that no dominant meifauna species, except at research stations located around the Losari Beach reclamation project. Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan untuk menentukan kondisi struktur dan komposisi vegetasi di wilayah tersebut. Data diperoleh melalui metode quadrat dengan menggunakan sebanyak 100 buah kuadrat ukuran 2x2 meter. Spesies anakan pohon dan semak yang ditemukan di area tersebut adalah: M. Invisa; A. crassicarpa; S. rhombifolia, M. pudica, L. cernuum, and L. scandens. Spesies herba yang ditemukan antara lain C. esculentus, C. rotundus, C. brevifolius, C. aeriginosum, G. divaricata, and I. cylindrica. Vegetasi semak dan anakan pohon mempunyai  range Indeks  Keanekaragaman Shannon Wienner dari 1.36 sampai  1.38, 0.26 sampai  03.5 untuk Indeks Kekayaan dan Indeks Kemerataan dari 0.33 sampai 0.43. Vegetasi Herba mempunyai range Indeks Keanekaragaman Shannon Wienner diversity 1.36 sampai 1.38, 0.26 sampai 0.35 untuk Indeks Kekayaan dan Indeks Kemertaan mempunyai range dari 0.33 sampai 0.43.

Abstract

Abstract. One of the pollutants that have the potential to pollute rivers and aquatic biota is heavy metals due to community activities around the river. This study aims to determine how the content of Cr6 + and Zn in water and meat of Puyau fish found in the Alalak River, West Berangas Region. This research is a descriptive study with a type of survey research. Water sampling is done using a Kemmerer water sampler and fish sampling using a fishing rod. Tests of Cr6 + and Zn content in water were carried out at the Banjarmasin Health Laboratory and the Cr6 + and Zn content were carried out at the Banjarbaru MIPA basic Laboratory using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The results showed an average Cr6 + content in Alalak River waters was 0.11275 mg / L and Zn was 0.0658 mg / L. The content of Cr6 + and Zn has exceeded the quality standard threshold (0.05 mg / L) that has been determined based on South Kalimantan Governor Regulation No.5 of 2007 concerning river quality standards. The average Cr content in Puyau fish meat was 21.415 mg / Kg and Zn was 46.0175 mg / Kg. The Cr6 + and Zn content in Puyau fish has also exceeded the threshold (0.05 mg / Kg; 0.1 / mg / Kg) determined by the DirectorGeneral of POM No. 03725 / SK / VII / 1989. The community is expected to not often consume puyau fish found in the waters of the Alalak River because its Cr6 + and Zn content have exceeded the required threshold. Abstract

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Biologi berbasis e-learning menggunakan Joomla dan Wondershare Quiz Creator yang valid, efektif, dan praktis, pada materi sistem ekskresi. Tahap penelitian dan pengembangan mengacu model Gall et al., (2003) yang terdiri atas 5. Subjek penelitian adalah validator, siswa kelas XI IPA3 SMA Negeri 4 Makassar dan guru Biologi SMA Negeri 4 Makassar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menguji validitas produk, memberikan tes hasil belajar, mengamati aktivitas siswa, mengumpulkan data respon siswa dan guru. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) Validitas mendapat kategori valid dari 3 validator; (2) 100% siswa memperoleh skor hasil belajar di atas Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) sebesar 75 pada Tes Evaluasi; (3) Sebanyak 6 dari 7 aktivitas yang diamati telah memenuhi kriteria keaktifan; (4) Guru dan siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap produk. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid, efektif, dan praktis.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana motivasi, respon dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 1 Awangpone yang diajar dengan menggunakan LKPD berbasis peta konsep Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pra eksperimen dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Awangpone, Kabupaten Bone. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Awangpone yang terdiri dari 120 orang dengan total sampel berjumlah 30 orang. Data dari penelitian ini dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan N-Gain, untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Untuk respon hanya menggunakan statistic deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) motivasi peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Awangpone terhadap penggunaan LKPD berbasis peta konsep adalah rata-rata N-Gain 0,7 (kategori tinggi). (2) respon peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Awangpone terhadap penggunaan LKPD berbasis peta konsep adalah   rata-rata skor 41 (kategori tinggi) dari skor ideal 50. (3) hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Awangpone setelah diajar dengan menggunakan LKPD berbasis peta konsep adalah rata-rata NGain 0,7 (kategori tinggi) dan peserta didik telah mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 87 % sehingga ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal tercapai. Abstract

 Understanding of landscape dynamics provide profound implications on the management and landscape planning. Mount Gede Pangrango National Park  (MGPNP) has a nature which is  unique and spesific, which made this national park as one of the laboratory  for landscape ecology research. The research objectives were to observe and identified the structure, function, and dynamic of MGPNP’s landscape, particularly at Bedogol resort. The landscape’s mosaic, patch, and corridor were studied and analyzed based on ecological structure, dynamic, and function conditions, and also with various bio-physic social economic and culture which related to bioclimatic zone condition. Landscape mosaic of MGPNP was composed of various ecosystem started from spesific ecosystem of lowland tropical rain forest to the mountain forest. The identifying patch were forest, resting house, gazebo, small field, house and seedbed for protected plant and medicinal plant. The landscape corridor’s were street and pathway. There were two kind of corridor forms, which were line and hedgerow corridor.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research was examine the effect of juice tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) as diluent on the quality of spermatozoa Bali cattle (Bos sondaicus). This research used Completely Random Design consisting of five treatments and three repetition. The treatmens are andromed, jus tomatoes- yolk egg – honey with concentration of 0 %, 10 %, 20 % and 30 %. The parameters were time of formation in a macroscopic (volume, color, pH and consistency) and microscopic               (motility, life sperm percentage and abnormality). Observations were made at 0, 2, 4, 6 until 8 hour after refrigeration. The results showed that addition jus tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum)  was quality spermatozoa Bali cattle after refrigeration. Juice tomato- yolk egg – honey diluents with concentration of 20 % can produce of spermatozoa quality whether. Keywords: Spermatozoa, andromed, juice tomato, honey, yolk egg.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran peta konsep menggunakan perangkat berpendekatan konsep terhadap pemahaman konsep genetika siswa SMA pada sekolah berkategori berbeda. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan faktorial 2x2 pre test post test control group design. Teknik penarikan sampel adalah stratified random sampling dengan kriteria kategori sekolah atas, tengah, dan bawah. Instrumen penelitian berupa perangkat pembelajaran peta konsep berpendekatan konsep dan tes berbentuk esai sejumlah 35 butir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep genetika siswa pada pembelajaran peta konsep 79,2% lebih tinggi dari konvensional, dan  tidak terdapat pengaruh yang  nyata kategori sekolah terhadap pemahaman konsep genetika siswa SMA.
