Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the epistemological navigation and operational boundaries of various phenomenological variants in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) research. The main issue raised is the tendency to reduce phenomenology to merely a data collection technique, without a deep understanding of its philosophical foundations. This study employs a qualitative approach based on conceptual analysis and literature review of classical and contemporary phenomenological thought. The findings indicate that many studies experience methodological inconsistencies due to the mixing of descriptive (transcendental) phenomenology and hermeneutic phenomenology without full epistemological awareness. In addition, key concepts such as epoché, intentionality, and lived experience are often not properly operationalized in research practice. This study emphasizes the importance of clarity in philosophical positioning when selecting a phenomenological variant, as well as the need to transform research instruments to align with the ontological and epistemological principles of phenomenology. Thus, phenomenological research in PAI is expected to produce more in-depth, authentic analyses with strong methodological validity. Qualitative research with a phenomenological approach is one of the most fundamental methodologies in the social sciences and humanities. This paper comprehensively examines the philosophical foundations, methodological principles, and practical implementation of phenomenological research, ranging from Edmund Husserl’s descriptive phenomenology to Martin Heidegger’s hermeneutic phenomenology, as well as contemporary developments such as Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). In addition, this paper reviews the application of phenomenology in various fields such as health, education, and social sciences, accompanied by a critical discussion of the strengths, limitations, and ethical considerations in phenomenological research.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has significantly altered student behavior in madrasah education, manifesting in declining communication ethics, weakened respect for authority, and increasing individualism. Despite these challenges, madrasah education often remains fixated on cognitive and academic achievements, leaving a void in character and spiritual development. This study aims to analyze the relevance of the Insan Kamil concept as a fundamental paradigm of Islamic Educational Philosophy in responding to the moral degradation of the digital generation. Using a qualitative library research method (2022-2025), the study explores how this concept serves as a framework for an Ontological Restoration that shifts the focus from mere information processing to the restoration of human nature (fitrah). The findings reveal that Insan Kamil offers a holistic balance between intellectual, spiritual, and social responsibility. By implementing this framework, madrasahs can move beyond technical digital literacy toward a deeper existential awareness where technology is mastered as a tool for transcendental purposes. The study concludes that an ontological approach to the Insan Kamil values, encompassing teacher role modeling, moral habituation, and spiritual self-control, is essential to forming ethically grounded students capable of navigating modern disruptions without losing their moral identity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis problematika implementasi evaluasi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam Kurikulum Merdeka serta merumuskan strategi pengembangannya melalui integrasi pendekatan deep learning dan prinsip Kurikulum Cinta. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur kualitatif dengan menganalisis dokumen, kebijakan, dan hasil-hasil penelitian terdahulu terkait evaluasi pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi PAI saat ini masih didominasi oleh tes kognitif tradisional, sehingga asesmen afektif-spiritual belum berjalan optimal. Sebagai solusi, pendekatan deep learning menunjukkan potensi pengembangan instrumen evaluasi berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dan Problem-Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Sementara itu, integrasi prinsip Kurikulum Cinta berpotensi menghumanisasi proses penilaian menjadi bersifat reflektif-transformatif melalui self-assessment akhlak, jurnal refleksi, dan dialog bimbingan berbasis rahmah, sehingga berkontribusi pada penguatan karakter dan regulasi emosi siswa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa transformasi evaluasi PAI memerlukan reformasi paradigma, peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru dalam menyusun instrumen inovatif, serta simplifikasi administrasi demi terwujudnya penilaian yang autentik dan pembentukan karakter peserta didik secara utuh. Kata kunci: Deep learning; evaluasi PAI; Kurikulum Cinta; Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of strengthening students’ interreligious tolerance attitudes in educational settings as an effort to maintain social harmony in a multicultural society. Schools play a strategic role in character development through a conducive educational environment and positive social interactions. This study aimed to examine the influence of the Islamic School Environment and Peer Groups on the Interreligious Tolerance Attitudes of tenth-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Depok. The study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational survey method. The population consisted of 90 students, with 58 valid respondents selected through questionnaire-based data collection using a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. The analytical procedures included descriptive statistics, normality testing, multicollinearity testing, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis. The findings revealed that the Islamic School Environment had a positive and significant effect on students’ interreligious tolerance attitudes (β = 0.347; p = 0.021). Meanwhile, Peer Groups showed a positive but statistically insignificant effect (β = 0.219; p = 0.085). Simultaneously, the Islamic School Environment and Peer Groups significantly influenced students’ interreligious tolerance attitudes (F = 10.920; p = 0.000), with a contribution of 28.4% (R² = 0.284). This study concludes that the Islamic School Environment is the most dominant factor in shaping students’ interreligious tolerance attitudes. The study contributes empirical evidence that a moderate, inclusive, and rahmatan lil ‘alamin-oriented Islamic school culture can serve as an effective strategy for fostering tolerance and strengthening character education among secondary school students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) memiliki kedudukan yang strategis dalam membentuk pengetahuan, sikap dan karakter peserta didik. Namun, pelaksanaan pembelajaran SKI di madrasah masih didominasi oleh pendekatan yang berpusat pada guru, berorientasi pada penguasaan materi melalui hafalan, serta belum mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikultural dan penguatan karakter secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan materi SKI berbasis nilai-nilai multikultural pada materi ilmuwan muslim Bani Umayyah dalam bidang sejarah, geografi, kedokteran, kimia, dan astronomi guna menumbukan karakter rasa ingin tahu (curiosity), gemar belajar dan cinta ilmu (love of learning), serta kemampuan berpikir kritis (critical thinking) peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RnD) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTsS assalam Martapura dengan melibatkan guru SKI dan peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa modul pembelajaran SKI berbasis nilai-nilai multikultural yang dilengkapi dengan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD), media pembelajaran, dan isntrumen asesmen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan mampu mengintegrasikan nilai rasa ingin tahu (curiosity), gemar belajar dan cinta ilmu (love of learning), berpikir kritis (critikal thinking), serta penghargaan terhadap keberagaman ke dalam proses pembelajaran SKI. Penerapan model Project Base learning, inquiry base learning, dan cooperative learning melalui aktivitas gallery walk terbukti meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik, menumbuhkan rasa ingin tahu, memperkuat kecintaan terhadap ilmu, serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Selain itu, hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap kontribusi ilmuwan muslim dalam perkembangan peradaban islam sekaligus penguatan internalisasi nilai-nilai multikultural. Oleh karena itu, materi pembelajaran SKI berbasis nilai-nilai multikultural di nilai layak digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar yang efektif dalam mendukung penguatan karakter peserta didik.
