Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the level of C-reactive protein (CRP) in Urinary Tract infection Patients attending Madonna University Teaching Hospital. C- reactive protein was measured using the ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) method. The statistical software for social sciences (SPSS) version 26 was used to statistically analyze the data acquired from this study. C- reactive protein values in the UTI group (20.75±8.35 mg/L) were significantly higher than those in the control group (3.08±1.28 mg/L), demonstrating a strong inflammatory response to UTIs. Additionally, age-related study showed that children and adolescents had greater CRP levels than adults. Patients with Escherichia coli showed considerably higher CRP levels than Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus mirabilis in the bacterial growth categories, however no significant difference was seen between Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus mirabilis. Differences in immune response dynamics, pathogen pathogenicity, and host-pathogen interactions can be used to explain these variances in CRP levels. The results show how useful CRP is as an inflammatory marker in UTIs.

Abstract

The quantitative approach of citation and content analysis for academic journals, books, and researchers is known as bibliometrics. The number of times a specific work is mentioned by other resources is used to estimate the quantitative effect of a given publication. Inferentially, you can gauge the impact that a particular study has on the remainder of the academic literature. A compelling case for impact in a personal statement and qualitative peer review should always be added to bibliometrics. The foundation of bibliometrics is statistical sampling. It is predicated on a few presumptions. Each appraisal must take these presumptions into consideration. The essential tools that enable a user to comprehend the influence of a single published paper or of a researcher's body of work are citation databases and alternative metrics tools. citation databases and altmetrics tools can be used  for the following things: to demonstrate the influence of a piece of writing by displaying how many times it has been referenced since it was published as well as assemble the sources that the publication's author used. It is used to locate and read the most important works in a specific topic and to research related literature and follow the progress of a certain publication.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of Eimeria spp. infection in broiler chickens (Gallus domesticus) in Kalibaru Subdistrict, Banyuwangi Regency. Eimeria spp. is a protozoan that causes coccidiosis, a disease affecting the chicken’s digestive tract and causing significant economic losses. The study employed a descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. Fecal samples were collected from five farms across five villages. A total of 75 fecal samples were analyzed using the flotation method to detect oocysts, followed by microscopic identification based on oocyst morphology and size. The results indicated that the prevalence of Eimeria spp. infection was 100%. The oocysts were oval to round with double-layered walls, some of which were sporulated. Identified species included E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. maxima, E. acervulina, and E. praecox. Infected chickens’ feces were mucous, dark brown to reddish, indicating clinical signs of coccidiosis. The study indicates that Eimeria infection is endemic in the area and requires urgent attention through improved biosecurity, proper farm management, and farmer education. Further studies with molecular methods are recommended to identify species more accurately and develop evidence-based control strategies.

Abstract

Maternal health outcomes remain a significant concern in Indonesia, with regional disparities hindering national and global goals for reducing maternal mortality. This study explored the effect of health promotion programs on maternal health outcomes in Gorontalo, a province with limited healthcare access and persistent inequities. A quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-test measures involved 200 women of reproductive age, equally split into intervention and control groups. The intervention included structured health promotion sessions focused on maternal nutrition, danger sign recognition, birth preparedness, and the importance of facility-based deliveries. Data were collected through questionnaires and health records, analyzed using paired t-tests, independent t-tests, and regression models. Results showed significant improvements in maternal knowledge, antenatal care attendance, and facility-based deliveries for participants, with the intervention remaining a strong predictor of positive outcomes, even when adjusting for education, income, and parity. These findings suggest that health promotion is a key strategy for improving maternal health behaviors and enhancing healthcare systems when integrated into community governance and organizational structures.

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between nursing interventions and patient recovery rates in tertiary hospitals in Maluku, Indonesia. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 210 inpatients selected through stratified random sampling across medical, surgical, and intensive care units. Nursing interventions were categorized into clinical, educational, and psychosocial activities, while recovery rates were assessed through clinical progress indicators such as length of stay, complications, and discharge status. Data analysis using Pearson correlation and multiple regression revealed significant positive relationships between nursing interventions and patient recovery (r = 0.54, p < 0.001), with clinical interventions emerging as the strongest predictor (β = 0.38, p < 0.001). Variations in recovery outcomes across wards indicated that structured nursing practices contributed to higher recovery rates in surgical patients. The findings highlight that effective and contextually adapted nursing interventions play a strategic role in improving recovery outcomes, optimizing hospital performance, and strengthening healthcare systems in resource-limited regions. Strengthening professional competence, continuous training, and culturally responsive care is essential for enhancing recovery and ensuring sustainable health service delivery in Maluku’s tertiary hospitals.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of obstetric care education on prenatal health behaviors among pregnant women, using a quantitative research design to provide empirical evidence on its effectiveness. Maternal health remains a critical global issue, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, where educational interventions are increasingly recognized as cost-effective means to promote healthy prenatal practices. Data were collected from surveys administered to pregnant women who participated in obstetric education programs, and both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were conducted to assess the impact of education on behavioral changes. The results revealed significant improvements in key prenatal health behaviors, such as regular antenatal clinic visits, adherence to nutritional guidelines, physical preparedness, and avoidance of harmful practices. These findings highlight the importance of obstetric care education as an essential management intervention in maternal healthcare systems. The study demonstrates that integrating education into routine antenatal care can serve as both a preventive strategy and a tool for improving service delivery and reducing risks. It also emphasizes the need for healthcare managers, policymakers, and practitioners to institutionalize educational programs, ensuring their integration into standard maternal health services to promote equity and sustainability in maternal health outcomes.

Abstract

A linear growth condition called stunting is brought on by frequent illnesses and poor nutrition.  The Nurturing Care Framework, which prioritizes health care, proper nutrition, responsive caregiving, early learning opportunities, and safety and security, is the basis for prevention activities.  The purpose of this study was to examine the connection between stunting in toddlers in the Pagambiran Padang Community Health Center region and parental risk factors based on the Nurturing Care Framework.  The study was carried out between June 2024 and January 2025 using an analytical cross-sectional design.  214 children between the ages of 24 and 59 months were selected by stratified random sampling and basic random sampling.  A questionnaire was used to gather the data, and univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using chi square, and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression with the backward technique were all used to examine the results.  Stunting was present in 43.9% of people.  55.1 percent of parenting styles were classified as subpar according to the Nurturing Care Framework.  Stunting was substantially correlated with safety and security, proper nutrition, and health care, according to multivariate data.  The most important factor was enough nutrition.  In accordance with the Nurturing Care Framework, the study suggests interdisciplinary cooperation to address nutritional issues, improve basic health services, track children's growth and development, and foster a healthy environment.

Abstract

Maternal health remains a major challenge in low and middle income countries, where efforts to reduce maternal mortality are hindered by uneven service use, gender norms, and structural disparities. This study examines how maternal health education supports women’s decision making autonomy and improves maternal health outcomes in Indonesia. A quantitative cross sectional design was used, involving women of reproductive age who had experienced pregnancy or childbirth within the past two years. Autonomy was measured using an index of household health related decisions, while maternal health outcomes included antenatal care attendance, facility based delivery, postnatal care, and neonatal immunization. Statistical tests such as t tests, ANOVA, multiple regression, and logistic regression showed that maternal health education significantly increased autonomy scores, especially among women attending three or more sessions. Higher autonomy was associated with greater likelihood of giving birth in a health facility and adequate use of maternal health services. The findings emphasize that maternal health education should function not only as knowledge sharing but as an intervention that strengthens intra household decision power and supports health system performance. Program managers are encouraged to integrate empowerment indicators, ensure continuous engagement, and enhance community health worker training to include empowerment and communication skills.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of hospital management practices on patient satisfaction in tertiary care facilities in Jeneponto Regency, Indonesia, addressing the gap in empirical evidence from developing healthcare contexts. Despite widespread acknowledgment of patient satisfaction as a vital performance indicator, limited research has systematically examined how management decisions shape patients’ experiences in decentralized healthcare systems. Using a quantitative design, the study surveyed 320 patients across tertiary hospitals, analyzing the relationship between four dimensions of hospital management service efficiency, staff responsiveness, communication quality, and facility quality and overall patient satisfaction through correlation and multiple regression techniques. The results revealed strong positive associations across all dimensions, with staff responsiveness and communication quality emerging as the most significant predictors of satisfaction. While facility quality and service efficiency contributed positively, their effects were comparatively weaker, indicating that relational and human-centered practices play a more decisive role in shaping satisfaction than structural investments. The model explained 52% of the variance in patient satisfaction, highlighting the central role of management practices in healthcare delivery outcomes. These findings carry both theoretical and practical implications: theoretically, the study extends service management scholarship by contextualizing satisfaction determinants within a developing-country healthcare system; practically, it calls for hospital leaders and policymakers to prioritize managerial strategies that enhance staff responsiveness, strengthen communication, and embed patient-centered cultures alongside infrastructure improvements. By demonstrating the managerial roots of patient satisfaction, this study contributes to a broader understanding of healthcare quality as a product of organizational choices and governance.
