Fajar: Media Komunikasi dan Informasi Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is to serve as the premier peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal to advance theory and practice related to all forms of outreach and engagement . This includes highlighting innovative endeavors; critically examining emerging issues, trends, challenges, and opportunities; and reporting on studies of impact in the areas of public service, outreach, engagement, extension, engaged research, community-based research, community-based participatory research, action research, public scholarship, service-learning, and community service. Focus Fajar aims to provide a forum for international researchers on applied Society Development and Engagement to publish the original articles. The scope of Fajar are Society Development and Engagement. This journal contains research-based community service results such as PAR (Participatory Action Research), ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), CBR (Community-Based Research), Service Learning, Community Development, and other methodologies.

Abstract

This article examines the "MIOS" coaching method at Prakarya Santi Asromo Majalengka Middle School, West Java Province. The results of this community service show that: First, monitoring as an activity in the early stages of service treatment shows that the implementation of professional learning for the golden age generation has not run optimally. Second, the results of in-service by service providers in the form of workshops have an impact on increasing the professionalism of educators. Third, the implementation of on-service by servants in the form of classroom observations has an impact on increasing professional educators in the implementation of professional learning for the golden age generation. The increase in professional educators in the implementation of professional learning is seen in the improvement of the pedagogical competence of educators, especially in the implementation of learning. In addition, it also has an impact on improving the quality of the process and learning outcomes of students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop professional educators in the implementation of professional learning for the golden age generation with the MIOS coaching method. Keywords:  Professional Teacher, Professional Learning,  MIOS  Abstrak:Artikel ini mengkaji mengenai metode pembinaan  “MIOS” di  SMP Prakarya Santi Asromo Majalengka Provinsi Jawa Barat. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, monitoring  sebagai kegiatan tahap awal  treatment  pengabdi menunjukkan  bahwa implementasi professional learning untuk generasi usia emas belum berjalan dengan optimal. Kedua,  hasil in service oleh pengabdi  dalam bentuk workshop  memberikan dampak  terhadap peningkatan profesionalisme  pendidik.  Ketiga, Pelaksanaan on service  oleh pengabdi dalam bentuk observasi kelas berdampak pada peningkatan  pendidik profesional dalam implementasi  professional learning untuk generasi usia emas. Peningkatan pendidik profesional dalam implementasi professional learning tampak dalam  peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik pendidik terutama dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Selain itu berdampak pula pada peningkatan mutu proses dan hasil pembelajaran peserta didik.  Oleh karena itu, maka diperlukan pembinaan pendidik professional dalam implementasi professional learning untuk generasi usia emas dengan metode  pembinaan  MIOS. Kata Kunci: Pendidik Profesional, Professional Learning, MIOS

Abstract

A journal is a scientific work that is owned by one or several people who are competent in their field and published by an agency (institution). Journals have an urgency for the world of education, especially at the tertiary level. Journals are always renewable because each year there will be new journals that can be used as references to write scientific papers or scientific papers. This is the reason why it is very important for education actors to know and understand about accredited national journals and international journals. The existence of training on the making of accredited and internationally reputed journal articles is an implementation of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. Keywords: Journal Training, Accredited National Journal,  International Journal Abstrak:Jurnal merupakan karya ilmiah yang dimiliki oleh seorang atau beberapa orang yang berkompeten di dalam bidangnya dan diterbitkan oleh suatu instansi (lembaga). Jurnal memilki urgensi bagi dunia pendidikan khususnya di tingkat perguruan tinggi. Jurnal selalu bersifat terbarukan karena setiap tahunnya akan ada jurnal-jurnal baru yang dapat dijadikan referensi untuk menulis suatu karya ilmiah atau pun tulisan ilmiah. Abstract

Abstract:Thalassemia is a genetic disease that is inherited through marriage. At present, the incidence of thalassemia can only be reduced by reducing the birth of thalassemia children. Giving a correct understanding to the community is the right way to prevent the increase in new thalassemia sufferers. This community service activity is carried out in Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra by involving lecturers who focus on the prevention of thalassemia. Activities carried out in the form of counseling and demonstration about thalassemia to 56 participants. In this activity, the demonstration was carried out using tools such as brochures / leaflets. An evaluation of the success of the activity is carried out using random questions to the participants before and after the activity. After counseling, most participants understood the simple way to recognize and prevent thalassemia. From these community service activities, it can be concluded that counseling and demonstration, can be used to improve people's knowledge and simple skills in recognizing and preventing thalassemia. Keywords:  Counseling, prevent, recognize, thalassemia Abstrak: Thalassemia merupakan penyakit genetik yang diturunkan melalui perkawinan. Saat ini, angka kejadian penyakit thalassemia hanya dapat turunkan dengan cara mengurangi kelahiran anak thalassemia. Pemberian pemahaman yang benar kepada masyarakat merupakan cara yang tepat guna mencegah peningkatan penderita thalassemia baru. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Kota Lubuklinggau, Sumatera Selatan dengan melibatkan dosen yang fokus pada usaha pencegahan thalassemia. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa penyuluhan dan demonstrasi tentang thalassemia terhadap 56 orang peserta. Dalam kegiatan ini, demontrasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat bantu berupa brosur/leaflet. Evaluasi terhadap keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pertanyaan acak kepada peserta sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Setelah penyuluhan, sebagian besar peserta memahami cara sederhana mengenali dan mencegah thalassemia. Dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, dapat simpulkan bahwa penyuluhan dan demonstrasi, dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sederhana masyarakat dalam mengenali dan mencegah thalassemia. Abstract

Some people of Jatimulya Village, Cilodong, Depok, West Java, still could not understand clearly and faced difficulty in accessing law or legal instrument. Regarding to that, university through its faculty of law could take a part to overcome such condition. The faculty of law is able to conduct a kind of community service activity, namely socialization and public legal consultation. This study is based on information collected during the socialization and public legal consultation was held by Faculty of Law Pancasila University in Jatimulya Village. This study concludes that through the socialization and public legal consultation, the synergy between society, local government, and higher education institution could be tightened and also it would help the realization of better access to justice for all. Keywords: access to justice; public legal consultation; socialization Abstrak:Sebagian warga masyarakat Kelurahan Jatimulya, Cilodong, Depok, Jawa Barat, masih kesulitan dalam memahami hukum dan mengakses hukum. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, perguruan tinggi, terutama melalui fakultas hukumnya, bisa melakukan kegiatan penyuluhan dan konsultasi hukum massal bagi warga masyarakat. Hal seperti inilah yang telah dilakukan oleh Fakultas Hukum Universitas Pancasila. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan dan konsultasi hukum massal ternyata bisa membawa dampak yang positif bagi pihak masyarakat yang masih belum begitu paham terhadap hukum, pihak pemerintah daerah sebagai otoritas penyedia layanan publik, dan juga bagi pihak institusi perguruan tinggi, khususnya fakultas hukum. Sinergi ketiga pihak tersebut dalam mewujudkan akses hukum yang baik pun dapat dibantu melalui kegiatan penyuluhan dan konsultasi hukum massal. Kata kunci: akses terhadap hukum; konsultasi hukum massal; penyuluhan hukum

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the effect of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning models on students' science process skills on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. The subjects in this study were students of class X at SMA Negeri 89 East Jakarta in the academic year 2013/2014. The research method applied was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling and divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The instruments used in this study were essay test instruments and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques were obtained using the "t" test. The results showed that the use of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning models had an influence on students' science process skills in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. Keywords:  learning model of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE); Science process skills; Electrolyte and Non-electrolytes solution      Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 89 Jakarta Timur tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan dibagi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes essay dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data diperoleh menggunakan uji “t”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan proses sains; Larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit; Model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE).
