Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and geography learning outcomes in class XII Islamic Senior High School Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. This research is a type of quantitative research with the Spearman Rank correlation method. The data collection technique  uses a  questionnaire.  The  sampling  technique  in this study  used a saturated sampling technique with a total of 25 respondents. For learning outcomes data is taken from the grade XII student report cards in the geography subject. The results of the analysis of emotional intelligence data are included in the medium category with an average value = 107.84 at intervals 103–110, for geography learning outcomes are included in the low category with an average value = 83.52 at intervals 81-84, to prove whether or not there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and geography learning outcomes, it can be seen from the calculation obtained using the Spearman Rank correlation formula, where the value of rs =0.037, with a significant value of 0.861. Because sig > 0.05, it can be concluded that emotional intelligence does not have a significant relationship with geography learning outcomes and the relationship is included in the very low category.

The type of this research is descriptive quantitative research by using survey method of soil observation. In this study, using purposive sampling data collection techniques on eleven land units by taking samples of undisturbed soil. The results of this study indicate the characteristics of the land in the research location, namely wet climate; medium temperature ; availability of water and high rainfall; good drainage; the dominant texture class is smooth and slightly fine; medium coarse fraction; good effective depth; high clay CEC value; medium base saturation; non sodic alkalinity; erosion hazard levels that range from very low to very severe; no flood hazard; and medium land preparation. The actual land suitability class) consists of: class S2 (fairly suitable) covering an area of 36.5 km2, class S3 (marginally appropriate) covering an area of 52.6 km2 class N (not suitable) covering an area of 54,3 km2.

Abstract

Kendari Bay is part of Kendari City. Kendari Bay is a city landmark in addition to its economic and environmental functions.. The condition of Kendari Bay is experiencing a fairly high sedimentation problem, so that it begins to cause problems with land availability and space utilization patterns in the Kendari Bay area. The endogenous process of dynamic earth activities is a part that needs to be considered in managing that problems. This study aims the geological conditions of Kendari Bay by using remote sensing as a form of studying the geological conditions of Kendari Bay. Using Landsat 5 TM imagery in 1990, it was used to see the natural geological conditions of Kendari Bay, using the false color composite method and interpretation of photo images visually and validated through field observations. Landsat image processing and interpretation using Quantum GIS, resulted in Kendari bay can be divided into several physiography, namely coastal zone, estuary zone, fluvial zone, plain zone, hill zone, and mountain zone (Head land). The physiography can be seen from the geological characteristics such as the lithology which is composed of alluvial deposits to limestone. The results of interpretation of composite color images and validation of direct observation data in the field show a qualitative suitability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Google Classroom application in learning geography for class X students of SMA Negeri 14 Makassar referring to learning outcomes. This is a pre-experimental study involving one experimental group, namely class X MIPA 5 using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using learning outcomes tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is statistical analysis technique and product moment correlation. The results of the study stated that the use of Google Classroom on the geography learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 14 Makassar was not effective. The relationship between the two variables was tested for significant correlation coefficient with t test obtained tcount (2,386) > ttable (2,045), so that H0 was accepted with a contribution of 16.4025%. There are inhibiting factors, namely: constrained internet access and supporting factors, namely the application of Google Classroom and student motivation. Abstract

There has been a massive change in the learning system in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic which is characterized by the implementation of online learning. However, on the other hand, online learning must pay attention to the condition of learners related to learning motivation during the covid-19 pandemic. In this study, researchers wanted to know the relationship of student motivation levels with geography learning outcomes in online learning in the Covid-19 period which was held at SMAN 8 Maros. This research belongs to the ex post facto type of research. Independent variable data is obtained using a questionnaire using the likert scale and depenent variables are collected by documentation methods. Research results show that 1) the level of motivation of learners falls into the high category; 2) The average geography learning outcome of students falls into sufficient categories; 3) There is a relationship between student learning motivation and student learning outcomes.
