Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity was implemented in Jombong Hamlet, Paten Village, a farming community, to address a crucial economic imbalance where the selling price of local agricultural commodities sharply declined while staple food prices rapidly inflated. The main objective of the program was to economically empower the community through immediate price intervention. The methodology employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR), engaging local stakeholders in the planning and implementation of the action. The core intervention was the Subsidized Market Program (Pasar Murah), designed to provide primary commodities (rice, cooking oil, sugar) at controlled prices. Implementation and observation results demonstrated that the program successfully reduced the immediate financial burden on households and mitigated the scarcity of critical supplies. The high level of community participation affirmed that the Subsidized Market is a successful and relevant option for revitalizing economic resilience and restoring local purchasing power.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity was conducted at Muda Bhakti Village Library, Ngablak Village, to address a literacy gap, where the penetration of foreign culture poses a risk of eroding the Nusantara Islamic cultural heritage, particularly among young children. The primary objective of the program was to develop calligraphy literacy as a form of visual art literacy, which represents the crystallization of Islamic ideology. The methodology utilized was Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving local stakeholders in the planning and implementation phases. Core interventions included calligraphy coloring training for kindergarten participants and the addition of Islamic calligraphy art book collections to strengthen the library's assets. Observation results showed significant success, with 70% of participants demonstrating good skills in the practical calligraphy coloring sessions. The program successfully broadened the function of the Muda Bhakti Library from merely a book lending center to a center for visual literacy development and local cultural preservation, asserting its contribution to fostering creativity and cultural awareness in Ngablak Village.

Abstract

The UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise) Krupuk Berkah Piala, established in 2002 on the initiative of Ibu Isfaiyyah and managed by the Dlimas Village community, is a micro enterprise with significant potential. The objective of this community service program was to analyze and improve the financial management system of the UMKM. The methodology employed was the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, with data collection through observation and interviews. Observations revealed a serious constraint: the financial reporting system was still manual, leading to undisciplined recording, calculation errors, and suboptimal financial management. To overcome these deficiencies, the engagement team provided a solution by transitioning the manual financial system to a digital one through intensive assistance in utilizing the Buku Warung Application. This intervention successfully transformed the bookkeeping process, providing ease in financial management and reporting, thereby supporting UMKM Krupuk Berkah Piala in achieving better accountability and efficiency.

Abstract

The low reading accuracy of Al-Qur’an students (santri), particularly in the mastery of Makharijul Huruf (the correct articulation points of Arabic letters), presents a key challenge for the TPQ (Qur'anic Education Park) Sapu Jagad in Pakis Village, Magelang Regency. The main objective of this community service program (PkM) is to enhance the students' Al-Qur’an reading ability through the optimization of the Sorogan Method integrated with a focused introduction and practice of Makharijul Huruf. This PkM activity utilizes the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, leveraging the traditional Sorogan method as a local asset. Data was collected through initial observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to identify specific needs. The program implementation focused on intensive mentoring, where the Sorogan Method served as the primary platform for real-time correction of problematic letter articulation, supported by a guide book for hijaiyah makharijul huruf pronunciation. The results of this program demonstrate that the application of the Sorogan Method, specifically targeting the introduction of makharijul huruf, significantly improved the students' Al-Qur’an reading skills. Through this integrated method, students were able to read the Qur’an fluently, smoothly, and in accordance with the precise articulation points.

Abstract

This community service program aims to address the difficulties in formal academic mentoring experienced by students (santri) of TPQ (Qur'anic Education Center) Roudlotul Athfal in Tidaran 1 Hamlet. The limited time available to parents, who predominantly work as farmers and laborers, created a gap between the demands of formal schooling and the necessary learning support at home. The methodology employed was the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which began with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to identify community needs and aspirations. Using the ABCD framework, the hamlet's primary asset—its educated youth—was identified as the key solution. The resulting intervention was a structured tutoring program implemented under the auspices of TPQ Roudlotul Athfal, with a synchronized schedule designed not to interfere with religious study sessions. The program successfully provided intensive academic guidance, enhanced the students' knowledge and self-reliance, while simultaneously developing the teaching skills and sense of social responsibility among the local youth, which is crucial for the program's sustainability.

Abstract

This community service program aims to address the quality gap in Qur'anic literacy among students (santri) in Sampangan Hamlet, Kaliangkrik, characterized by low reading fluency and poor comprehension of Tajwid science. The methodology employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which began with the Research phase (interviews) that confirmed the lack of standardized teaching methods in the three partner TPQs (Qur'anic Education Centers). The main Action was realized through the direct implementation of the Qiroati Method over a 30-day period. The Qiroati Method was selected for its emphasis on the fast and accurate reading process skill, aligning with tartil principles, covering stages from pre-volume to finishing, and utilizing a classical teaching system with rhythmic pacing (ketukan). Through active Participatory involvement, the program successfully enhanced the students' ability to read the Qur'an fluently and correctly according to Tajwid, while also re-educating local TPQ teachers on the correct methodology, ensuring the sustainability of improved Qur'anic education quality in the hamlet.

Abstract

Madrasah Diniyah (MD) Nibrosul Athfal, established in 2006 in Krutuk Hamlet as a non-formal religious education institution, faces significant challenges in its financial governance. This research and community service initiative revealed that financial recording was still being conducted manually, often leading to difficulties and inaccuracies. Furthermore, the management of daily financial notes was frequently handled by the students (santri) themselves, resulting in sub-optimal financial management. Addressing these shortcomings, the program aimed to transform the manual financial system into a digital one to assist in effective financial administration. The methodology employed was the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, with data collected through interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to thoroughly analyze institutional needs. The core solution implemented was the development of a recording system based on the Microsoft Access Application. The results demonstrate that the transition from a manual to a digital system successfully organized and regulated the financial system at MD Nibrosul Athfal, significantly increasing recording efficiency and generating more accountable financial reports.

Abstract

Bakalan Hamlet, Bandongan, faces fundamental challenges in children's potential development, namely low creativity and poor learning discipline triggered by the lack of structured parental mentoring and minimal stimulating non-academic activities. Based on the problem analysis (Research) within the Participatory Action Research (PAR) framework, it was found that children tend to spend their leisure time playing gadgets instead of engaging in productive activities. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to enhance learning discipline and stimulate children's creativity. The Action phase was implemented through face-to-face learning assistance programs combined with creative enhancement sessions, such such as collage making, designing snack bouquets, and free drawing. The results of the Participatory program indicated a significant increase in children's learning discipline and a rise in enthusiasm and the ability to create new works. This PkM program proved effective in shifting children's focus from passive habits to productive activities, providing them with essential knowledge and experience, and holistically improving the quality of learning and creativity in Bakalan Hamlet.

Abstract

TPQ Riyadhul Taqwa faces significant constraints in its Read and Write Al-Qur'an (BTA) teaching and learning activities, particularly concerning the mastery and application of Ilmu Tajwid (the science of correct Qur'anic recitation). This condition hinders the achievement of optimal educational goals, considering that Ilmu Tajwid—the knowledge branch dictating the proper way to recite the Qur'an—is considered fardhu 'ain (an individual obligation). Therefore, this Community Service (PkM) activity aims to: 1) Enhance the capacity and understanding of TPQ Riyadhul Taqwa teachers in implementing Tajwid instruction; 2) Improve the students' understanding and practical application of Tajwid; and 3) Develop the teachers' skills in delivering Tajwid material creatively, engagingly, and comprehensibly. The mentoring method employed interactive and fun learning approaches, coupled with direct practice (talaqqi). The outcome of this PkM activity includes additional insight and skills for the educators, as well as increased enthusiasm and motivation among the students. The students are now better equipped to practice various Tajwid rules in Al-Qur'an verses accurately through enjoyable and easily understandable methods.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and systematic effort to develop an individual's potential, extending beyond formal schooling. In Derepan Hamlet, Menoreh Village, the Madrasah Diniyyah Tarbiyyatul Ulaa serves as a vital platform for students (santri) from the local area and neighboring hamlets to deepen their religious knowledge (Al-Qur'an, Iqra, Tajwid, etc.). The institution's appeal is supported by effective and distinctive teaching methods. Based on initial observation and assessment, a significant curricular gap was identified: the suboptimal study of Nahwu (Arabic grammar/instrumental science), which is fundamental for comprehending classical Islamic texts (Kitab Kuning). Consequently, the community service team conducted intensive mentoring, contributing to the madrasah's curriculum, specifically through the addition of scheduled studies of Kitab Nahwu (Al-Jurumiyyah) and Ilmu Tauhid (Theology). The goal of this activity was to enhance the quality of the santri's understanding of religious texts and to strengthen the collaborative relationship among the caregivers, ustadzah (teachers), students, and the mentoring team. Program results indicate a significant reinforcement of the students' foundational instrumental knowledge (ilmu alat), which is a crucial prerequisite for pursuing higher studies in advanced Islamic boarding schools (pesantren).
