Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in supporting the green economy through renewable energy financing, specifically examining the dialectic between Maqāṣid Asy-syarī'ah values and financial performance. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA protocol, this research synthesizes 10 reputable academic articles published between 2021 and 2025. The findings reveal that BSI plays a strategic role as a technological catalyst and carbon emission mitigator through innovative instruments such as Green Sukuk and Green Murabahah. However, the study identifies a profitability paradox, where green financing correlates negatively with ROA in the short term due to high initial investment costs. BSI mitigates this challenge by leveraging its massive bank size and digitalizing operations under the G-Sharia framework. The study concludes that the integration of Islamic ethics and digital technology enables BSI to balance ecological responsibility with long-term stability. Implicatively, regulatory support in the form of fiscal incentives is essential to mitigate transition risks toward a low-carbon economy within the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Special Hajj Guides (PKH) on the implementation of the regular Hajj in Banda Aceh, particularly in enhancing pilgrims’ mental preparedness, understanding of Hajj rituals, and the smooth conduct of the Hajj. This study analyzes the impact of PKH on the implementation of the regular Hajj in Banda Aceh, specifically in improving pilgrims’ mental preparedness, understanding of Hajj rituals, and the smoothness of the pilgrimage. Using a qualitative field research approach, the study analyzed scientific literature, policies from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Banda Aceh Hajj reports. The results indicate that PKH has a tangible impact on supporting the implementation of the regular Hajj, both from a spiritual and administrative perspective. On the spiritual side, PKH serves as a Hajj ritual guide and religious facilitator capable of enhancing the mental preparedness of pilgrims, deepening their understanding of Hajj jurisprudence, and fostering inner peace throughout the performance of the Hajj rituals. This role becomes increasingly significant for elderly pilgrims, where the PKH also functions as a psychological companion who helps reduce anxiety, boost self-confidence, and maintain order and devotion during worship. Meanwhile, on the administrative side, the PKH serves as a mediator and service facilitator who assists pilgrims in understanding procedures, managing documents, and ensuring smooth coordination with various relevant parties. In this context, the role of the PKH also reflects the implementation of sharia-based service quality through an adaptive approach to the dimensions of tangibles, reliability, and empathy, thereby enabling the provision of more responsive and needs-oriented services to pilgrims. Thus, the Special Hajj Guide (PKH) plays a strategic role and has a significant impact in supporting the successful execution of the regular Hajj. This role is reflected in two main dimensions: spiritual and administrative.

Abstract

This study investigates the pedagogical strategies employed by ustazah at Pesantren Ulumul Qur'an Mardhatillah in Gampong Belegen, Simpang Kiri, to enhance Quranic memorization through a qualitative approach involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal a comprehensive instructional framework encompassing organizational strategies—featuring a target of three juz per semester with flexible disposition—alongside delivery and management models grounded in goal orientation, individuality, and integrity. These methods are characterized by time-horizon insights, concentration of effort, and knowledge absorption, utilizing operational components such as student-teacher interaction and sustainable routines governed by the six principles of tahliyah, takhayul, taskhin, tarkiz, tartil, and tikrar. Despite internal impediments like emotional fluctuations and external factors such as digital distractions, success is consistently achieved through tawakkul, tasmi', and diligent muraja'ah (via the Nderes method), which collectively bolster memorization retention by up to 90% for the 3 to 5 juz range.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of operational management in the administration of the Hajj in the digital age, characterized by the use of integrated information systems and technology-driven service transformation. The study focuses on the use of Hajj digitization through the SISKOHAT and SISKOPATUH systems, as well as the integration of cross-border services to support the smooth administration of the Hajj. To what extent technology contributes to improving service quality is examined in this study through policy analysis. The research indicates that digitalization can enhance service speed, accuracy, transparency, and the effectiveness of real-time oversight. However, digitalization still faces numerous challenges. Some of these include low digital literacy among members of the public, limited human resources, and the need to balance technological advancements with a human-centered approach to service delivery. Therefore, for Hajj digitalization to operate optimally and sustainably, plans are needed to enhance human resource capacity and develop inclusive systems.
