Abstract

Pesantren are traditional educational institutions in Indonesia that play a crucial role in shaping their students' character and religious knowledge. However, in this digital age, pesantren face the challenge of integrating technology into the learning process to remain relevant and effective. Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) offer significant opportunities to enhance the quality of education in pesantren. This study explores how AI and VR can be implemented at Pondok Pesantren Darul Ma'arif in Rejang Lebong and their impact on education. Using qualitative methods, this research analyzes the implementation of AI and VR in the pesantren, identifying the opportunities and challenges encountered. The findings show that the use of AI in personalizing learning materials and evaluations has increased the efficiency and effectiveness of education. AI helps teachers provide more personalized attention to students and automate administrative tasks. Meanwhile, using VR in Islamic history and jurisprudence classes offers a richer and more immersive learning experience. Students can "visit" historical sites and better understand historical contexts, which enhances their understanding and motivation to learn. Implementing these technologies also faces challenges, including limited technological resources, lack of teacher training, and resistance to change. This study recommends collaboration between the government, technology providers, and pesantren to address these challenges and maximize the potential of AI and VR in improving educational quality. With adequate infrastructure support, proper training for educators, and a cultural shift towards accepting technological innovations, pesantren can continue to play a vital role in shaping students' character and religious knowledge while preparing them to face challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Social media is evidence of the advancement of the most recent technical innovations, which are an inextricable part of daily life. Young pupils are surely familiar with social media since they use internet technologies. In this scenario, using social media to obtain any information they want will be simpler. Thus, it is possible to construct learning that is both effective and efficient when using social media as a PAI tool. The type of research used is library research, which is the data obtained from books, journals, and articles related to using social media as a learning aid. The data sources obtained were then analyzed using a descriptive approach to obtain information about the use of social media, which can increase the effectiveness of PAI learning in the digital era, things that influence the use of social media, and the impact of using social media as a learning aid. The results of this research show that the use of social media as a means of learning PAI in this digital era is considered very effective and relevant; this is because learning that uses social media has a positive impact in the form of enthusiasm and good responses from students during the learning process. The level of effectiveness can be determined through flexibility of time and place, ease of access, the amount of material and content available on social media, and so on.

Abstract

Technology development in the era of Society 5.0 affects various aspects, including Islamic boarding school education, known for its traditional approach based on Islamic values. The main challenge for Islamic boarding schools, especially in the Child Welfare Institution (LKSA), is utilizing technology without eliminating the essence of character education. This study examines how Islamic boarding schools in LKSA can adopt technology to shape the character of foster children while maintaining traditional Islamic values. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The study results indicate that integrating technology in Islamic boarding school education faces challenges in terms of infrastructure and human resource readiness. However, technology can improve the quality of learning if used carefully so as not to sacrifice traditional values. This study highlights the importance of balancing modernization and tradition in the digital era. It suggests the need for the right strategy so that Islamic boarding schools can optimally utilize technology to improve students' character education. This study is expected to provide insight into the development of Islamic boarding school education in the increasingly complex era of Society 5.0.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educated and career-oriented women in maintaining household welfare. The main focus of this research is how women with a high level of education and a successful career can fulfill dual roles as homemakers and professionals without neglecting their family responsibilities. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods to systematically and factually describe the phenomenon. Data were collected from various sources, including academic journals, articles, and relevant books. The findings reveal that women with higher education and successful careers contribute significantly to household welfare, including economic support, children's education, and family relationships. From an Islamic perspective, women can work as long as they do not neglect their duties as wives and mothers. This dual role also supports the achievement of maqashid al-shari'ah, which includes preserving religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. However, this study also highlights the challenges faced by women in performing dual roles, such as role conflicts, limited time for family, and social pressures. Therefore, support from partners and the social environment is essential to creating harmony between a woman's household life and career.
