Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged educational institutions to adopt technology-based innovations in learning administration, including attendance systems. One such innovation is the use of Google Forms as a digital attendance tool. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Google Form–based digital attendance in supporting student discipline and improving the efficiency of learning administration. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using a survey method. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires distributed to students who had experience using Google Form–based attendance during learning activities. The questionnaire measured students’ perceptions of ease of use, efficiency, accuracy, and the impact of digital attendance on their learning discipline. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to identify response patterns and overall trends. The findings indicate that Google Form–based digital attendance is perceived as practical, efficient, and easy to use by most respondents. The system helps reduce administrative errors, minimizes paper usage, and encourages students to be more disciplined in attending classes. In addition, digital attendance facilitates better data management and monitoring of student participation in learning activities. In conclusion, Google Form–based digital attendance has significant potential as an effective and economical solution for learning administration in educational institutions. Its implementation not only supports administrative efficiency but also contributes to improving student discipline and promoting the integration of digital technology in education. Future research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of digital attendance systems on student behavior and learning outcomes using mixed or experimental research designs.

Abstract

This article examines the dynamics of motivation in higher education, particularly in relation to Expectancy Theory, which highlights the aspect of valence. The main focus of this research is on students' perceptions of valence, namely the extent to which students attach value or attractiveness to achieving final outcomes (academic grades) as a reward for their efforts. Through a literature review of various academic journals and educational psychology theories, this article aims to identify and analyze factors that influence students' valence and its relevance to academic performance. Using a library research and content analysis approach, this study concludes that the perception of valence toward final outcomes is influenced not only by value orientations but also by students' interpretations of the quality of learning, providing educators with deeper insights into designing evaluation systems that motivate both intrinsically and extrinsically

Abstract

This study aims to examine the level of students’ activeness in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning conducted through digital-based storytelling methods. Digital storytelling is considered an innovative approach that can enhance students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor engagement in the IRE learning process. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data collected through student activeness questionnaires and qualitative data obtained from classroom observations and interviews with IRE teachers and students. The findings indicate that the implementation of digital-based storytelling significantly increases students’ activeness, as reflected in higher participation in discussions, improved reasoning toward learning materials, and increased curiosity. These results suggest that digital storytelling is not only effective in delivering IRE content but also in fostering active student engagement in the learning process. This study provides practical implications for IRE teachers in utilizing digital technology to create interactive, engaging,   and student-centered learning environments

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing use of ChatGPT among Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students as a learning tool and for assignment preparation. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms and impacts of ChatGPT use by early PAI students in Ponorogo on their learning process. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through the literature. The results show that students use ChatGPT to understand course material, find references, and assist with academic writing. This use has been proven to increase learning efficiency, but there is still a tendency to depend on it and a lack of critical evaluation of the results provided by AI. Therefore, digital literacy and ethical guidance are needed so that the use of ChatGPT supports productive and responsible learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers regarding the implementation of digital task switching in the learning process. In today's digital era, technology integration in education is a necessity, but the phenomenon of multitasking, or rapid switching between digital tasks, can pose challenges and impact learning effectiveness. PAI teachers are required not only to deliver religious material but also to utilize technology wisely to improve students' understanding and digital skills. This study used a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and open-ended questionnaires involving a number of PAI teachers in several secondary schools. Participants were selected based on their involvement in integrating various digital tools and resources, such as Google Classroom, audio-visual media, or other learning applications, into teaching and learning activities. The results showed that PAI teachers' perceptions of digital task switching varied. Some teachers viewed it positively, considering it an effective tool for varying teaching methods, maintaining student engagement, and accessing a wider range of information sources. However, others expressed concerns about potential distractions, classroom management difficulties, and technical challenges, such as unstable Wi-Fi networks or a lack of supporting facilities at school. This study concludes that although digital task switching has the potential to enrich Islamic Religious Education learning, it requires mature instructional strategies, clear policies, and adequate teacher training to optimize its benefits and minimize its negative impacts. .

Abstract

This study aims to analyze enjoyable and non-monotonous Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning methods in improving students' activeness and learning motivation in senior high schools and vocational high schools. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type and a case study design. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Wungu Madiun, involving one Islamic Religious Education teacher and several students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that PAI learning was still predominantly conducted through lecture methods, making the learning process less varied despite students being able to understand the material. Students expected more engaging learning methods and media, such as instructional videos, educational games, interactive discussions, and direct practice. Meanwhile, the teacher had implemented various active learning methods, including worship practices, educational film screenings, outdoor learning activities, and group assignments. The challenges encountered included limited facilities, geographical conditions, and the socio-cultural background of students. Therefore, the implementation of varied, interactive, and contextual learning methods can serve as an effective solution to enhance students' activeness, learning motivation, and engagement in Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

The digital divide is one of the main challenges in developing a technology-based society in the current era of digital transformation. This study aims to analyze the digital divide in the school environment. This study used a quantitative approach through a questionnaire sent to the school. The target of this study were several teachers involved and participating in learning activities at Madrasah Aliyah Fatwa Alim. The results showed that the majority of teachers and students at the school have implemented digital technology, and only a small number have not yet understood it. However, there are also students who do not yet understand technology and are lagging behind their peers who are familiar with it. The school has provided digital-based supporting facilities to provide convenience for students and encourage them to be more active in learning.
