Abstract

Miscommunication is an inherent and significant challenge in virtual learning environments, often exacerbated by the lack of non-verbal cues and interaction delays. Such miscommunication can drastically hinder material comprehension, lower the quality of interaction, and reduce the overall effectiveness of the educational process, ultimately leading to a decline in learning outcomes. Therefore, this research is crucial as it addresses a core issue in E-Learning. By examining the role of feedback control, this study offers structured and practical solutions to minimize instructional ambiguity and the understanding gap between educators and learners in virtual settings. The primary objective of this research is to analyze and demonstrate the effectiveness of preventing miscommunication through intentional and structured feedback control—encompassing teacher-to-student, student-to-teacher, and peer- to-peer feedback. The findings highlight miscommunication prevention strategies and mechanisms that are generally applicable in virtual learning. Effective feedback control includes providing prompt, clear, and bidirectional responses, alongside the use of interactive media that facilitates message clarification. By implementing feedback control, incidents of miscommunication, such as instructional misunderstandings and material ambiguity, can be minimized. It is predicted that the results will show that directed and consistent feedback plays a vital role in preventing miscommunication. With the application of clear, reciprocal feedback strategies, students will more easily comprehend messages conveyed by educators and feel more motivated to provide meaningful feedback in return. Generally, this research is expected to underscore the importance of feedback management for effective two-way communication in virtual learning, thereby contributing to the development of more effective and efficient digital educational communication strategies.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has drastically transformed the world of education and significantly impacted the demands placed on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. This study aims to investigate how PAI teachers build and enhance their professionalism amidst the digital transformation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving teachers from various educational institutions. The results indicate that PAI teachers generally recognize the importance of digital literacy as a crucial part of their professional expertise and have begun integrating various digital tools such as learning management systems, multimedia content, and Quran-based applications into their teaching methods. Teachers employ a variety of strategies to improve their digital and pedagogical skills, including participating in training programs, self-study, and collaboration with colleagues. However, structural challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, a lack of relevant training, and uneven digital literacy levels among teachers hinder optimal implementation. This study concludes that strengthening PAI teacher professionalism in the digital era requires systemic support, appropriate training, infrastructure improvements, and continuous pedagogical innovation to maintain Islamic values in technology-based learning.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of digital learning in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) demands a deep understanding of the effectiveness of the communication systems used. This Research is important because effective communication is the key to successful knowledge transfer in a digital environment, and often this process is hindered by noise and misinterpretation of messages. By analyzing the communication system through the lens of the Shannon-Weaver model, which focuses on the source, message, channel, and noise, we can specifically identify gaps and breakdowns in the exchange of information between teachers and students on digital platforms. This study aims to comprehensively describe the digital learning communication system in Mts, particularly in the context of the teacher's role as the source or transmitter and the students as the receivers or decoders of messages. The specific objective is to identify key elements of the channel system, encoding, decoding, and primary sources of noise, such as technical issues and information overload. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study at one of the MtsN in Ponorogo. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with teachers. The results show that the effectiveness of educational communication in digital learning at MTsN Ponorogo is highly determined by the quality of message encoding, as reflected in the choice of language and appropriate teaching methods. Field findings confirm that technical and semantic noise factors are the most significant variables hindering the knowledge transfer process.

Abstract

This article examines the significant shift in students' learning patterns caused by fast search technologies such as Google Search. The ease of accessing information has shifted learning from profound discovery to instant information retrieval, a phenomenon known as the "Google Effect" or Digital Amnesia, in which students tend to remember where information is found rather than the content itself. Although these technologies offer advantages such as speed, global accessibility, and quick problem-solving, excessive reliance on them can negatively affect concentration, synthesis skills, and critical reasoning. Therefore, educational systems must adapt by shifting assessment methods from memorization to analysis and source evaluation, while strengthening the curriculum to emphasize information literacy, algorithmic bias awareness, and source credibility verification. In this way, search technologies remain useful Research tools but should not replace deep thinking, allowing students to balance digital speed with intellectual depth..

Abstract

This research is crucial because, inevitably, learning in higher education has shifted to the digital realm, making Zoom a substitute classroom. Unfortunately, many instructors and students still feel that online lectures are less than optimal, often feeling like one-way lectures. To address this issue, our primary goal was to identify and develop the most appropriate and effective steps or stages for using Zoom in the classroom, from how instructors prepare, manage interactive sessions, and evaluate the results. We conducted this research using qualitative methods, distributing questionnaires to instructors and students who already have extensive experience with Zoom and observing how they actually teach and learn. We predict the emergence of a practical "Zoom Stage Model," where the key lies in utilizing Zoom's interactive features (such as breaking the class into small groups for discussion or using polls) to increase student engagement. It is hoped that this model can truly make online lectures feel more lively, less boring, and ultimately, improve the quality of learning on campus.

Abstract

The rapid growth of technology has had a significant impact on education, particularly in teaching and learning. This research is essential because existing technology has not fully met the needs of each student, who has a variety of learning styles, interests, and abilities. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which the implementation of personalized technology-supported learning can improve student achievement. This study used a qualitative approach and collected data through the distribution of questionnaires that adopted technology-based learning. The research findings indicate that personalized learning with the help of technology can increase student motivation, engagement, and conceptual understanding, although several obstacles remain, such as limited devices, teachers' digital literacy levels, and the readiness of available educational infrastructure

Abstract

Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) technology is a digital learning innovation that not only functions as a medium for delivering material, but also as a means of strengthening social interaction in the learning process. This study was motivated by the limited social interaction among junior high school students in conventional learning, which has resulted in low participation, cooperation, and communication among students. This study aims to describe and analyze the use of IFP technology in strengthening student social interaction through interactive learning activities such as class discussions, group work, presentations, and collaborative quizzes. The research used a descriptive approach with interpretive analysis of questionnaire data given to students at SMPN Ma'arif 1 Ponorogo. The results showed that the use of IFP was able to increase the intensity of social interaction, both between students and between students and teachers, especially through collaboration-based and gamification activities. However, there were still technical obstacles and limitations in the teachers' competence in optimizing the IFP function. This study confirms that the appropriate use of IFP can be a strategic tool in strengthening student social interaction and supporting collaborative and learner-centered learning.
