Abstract

Abstract   This research aims to determine the improvement in poetry writing results of fifth-grade elementary school students by implementing the make-a-match cooperative model and real media. The research used is classroom action research, employing the Kemmis and Taggart design. The research was carried out in 2 cycles; each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Research Subjects: 28 students. Data collection was carried out through observation and poetry-writing tests. The research results show that applying the make-a-match cooperative model with real media can improve students' poetry-writing skills. In cycle I, the percentage of students who achieved completeness were 42.86%. In cycle II the number of students who achieved completeness was 71.43%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a solar system diorama as a learning medium for the IPAS subject in grade VI at MINU 1 Purwoharjo. The research was motivated by students’ low motivation and difficulties in understanding abstract concepts of the solar system due to limited interactive learning media. The method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects included material and media experts as validators, and 20 sixth-grade students. The validation results indicated that the material expert rated the diorama at 100% feasibility (very feasible), while the media expert rated it at 86.5% (very feasible). Student responses during the trial showed positive results with scores ranging from 76% to 90% (very good category). Effectiveness analysis using the N-Gain test revealed an average score of 0.6048 (medium category) and a learning improvement of 60.48% (fairly effective category). Furthermore, the paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, confirming a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the solar system diorama is considered valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding of solar system concepts, while also supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum through experiential and contextual learning.

Abstract

Religious learning activities in madrasas are often conducted using lectures, which are less engaging for students. This study aims to analyze the role of students in enhancing their appreciation of the Isra' Mi'raj through the use of audiovisual media and reward learning at MI Manbail Futuh Beji Jenu Tuban. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative study, with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that the use of audiovisual media increased student interest and understanding, while reward learning encouraged active participation in learning. The PPL students acted as facilitators and innovators in creating more engaging learning. In conclusion, this method is effective in enhancing student understanding of religious material and can be an innovative alternative in madrasah learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the classroom teacher’s strategies in improving the learning interest of fifth-grade students at SD Al-Khairaat Pusat Palu and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. This research is a field study using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the teacher’s strategies in enhancing students’ learning interest have not been implemented optimally. The teacher has used instructional media in certain subjects and created a conducive learning environment through classroom management and short engaging activities to reduce students’ boredom. However, the use of learning media is not yet applied consistently across all subjects. The main obstacles include limited learning resources and media, difficulties in classroom management, and low student motivation and discipline. This study is limited to one school and one class and does not quantitatively measure the level of improvement in students’ learning interest. Therefore, future research is recommended to use quantitative or mixed methods approaches, involve a broader research setting, and examine additional factors such as parental involvement and the use of technology-based learning media.
