Abstract

This study aims to cluster traffic violation data recorded by CCTV in the Sidoarjo area using the K-Means Clustering algorithm. The dataset used in this study was obtained from Sidoarjo Police, covering 43,055 traffic violation records in the period January 2023 to July 2024. The CRISP-DM approach is applied to ensure a systematic research flow, starting from problem understanding, data collection, to result evaluation. After the data selection and transformation stage, the dataset was processed into 14,386 data. Clustering was performed to divide violations into three categories based on severity, namely high, medium, and low. Evaluation of cluster quality using Silhouette Score showed the best result with a value of 0.9916 at k=9, indicating optimal cluster formation. The clustering results showed that the highest violation occurred in the category of “not using a seat belt” with 8,710 cases, while the moderate violation involved “not wearing a helmet” with 5,522 cases. This study confirms the effectiveness of the K-Means algorithm in clustering traffic violation data and provides valuable insights for the Sidoarjo Police Traffic Unit in designing more efficient traffic violation reduction programs.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is an embedded system designed to expand the utilization of always-active internet connectivity. IoT infrastructure includes existing networks and the internet along with its evolution. This infrastructure supports the process of object identification, sensors, and connectivity capabilities, serving as the foundation for the development of independent cooperative services and applications. IoT is also characterized by a high level of autonomy in data collection, event transfer, network connectivity, and interoperability. A microcontroller is a computer system on a single IC chip, often referred to as a single-chip microcomputer. With the advancement of microcontrollers, IoT has evolved to include modern Ethernet- and Wi-Fi-based modules, one of which is the ESP8266. This research aims to develop a temperature and humidity monitoring system for the server room at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Sragen based on the Internet of Things. With this system, the temperature and humidity in the server room can be monitored online from anywhere, enabling quick action to be taken in the event of excessive temperature rise. The research method involves several stages, including data collection, needs analysis, design, planning, and testing. The results of this study indicate that the developed design is capable of detecting temperature and humidity in the RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Sragen server room, and this information can be displayed through the Blynk application. The testing of the server room monitoring system shows that the temperature sensor has an accuracy of 92.0%, while the humidity sensor shows a value of 91.03 %.

Abstract

This study focuses on designing and developing an international program registration application using the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The UCD method is implemented to create an optimized user interface and experience, prioritizing the needs of both local and international students. The application replaces the previously used Google Form-based system, which had limitations in data security, database management, and selection process integration. The development process follows UCD principles, including context of use identification, user and organizational needs analysis, high-fidelity prototype design, and evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The initial evaluation resulted in an SUS score of 65 (Marginal High), which improved to 72 (Acceptable) after a redesign. The application is developed using Dart for the frontend and Firebase for the backend, ensuring flexibility in feature expansion. This solution enhances registration efficiency, improves the user experience, and supports multilingual and cross-device accessibility. Ultimately, this research contributes to technological innovation in international program management while strengthening the institution’s competitiveness in global higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based multilingual language learning media using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. This system supports learning five languages, namely English, Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, and English, through various features such as material management, quizzes, lectures, language levels, and integration with Telegram groups. RAD is used to accelerate the development process by enabling active participation of users in all departments. This study found that web-based language learning media meets user needs and provides an interactive learning experience, collaboration, and personal learning. This media is also equipped with intuitive navigation and clear visuals. This study makes a significant contribution to the development of multilingual language learning media and is an effective solution to improve the quality of global language learning. The application of the RAD method is efficient and can be applied to system development. For broader development, analytical learning and integration with external platforms can improve system functionality.

Abstract

Financial management is a core subject of the study program that must be mastered by students of the Sharia Financial Management study program. This course presents material about financial management in theory. Based on the results of initial observations that have been made, Sharia Financial Management students have not even tried to directly practice financial management using an information system in managing finances. This happens because several existing financial management information systems are closed systems so students cannot access the system. Therefore, this study proposes a financial management information system with the support of IoT technology as a simulation or practice medium for Sharia Financial Management study program students. The proposed method in this study uses Waterfall model. Based on the average value of TAM analysis, it is 81.72%, where this value is included in the Very Good for use to strengthen the Financial Literacy of Sharia Financial Management students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a prediction model for the employment status of senior high school (SMK) graduates in Indonesia using multifactor analysis involving academic performance, social environment, and society. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Random Forest algorithm to collect large amounts of data and provide specific predictions. The model predicts the employment status of SMK graduates by 76%, indicating good work performance. This study also found that significant community factors significantly affect the employment status of SMK graduates (36.5%), followed by social factors (35.2%) and academic factors (25.9%). This study encourages schools, parents, and the government to focus on holistic SMK education, such as collaboration between schools and industry, to improve the employment status of SMK graduates.

Abstract

The integration of WireGuard and RouterOs mikrotik allows mikrotik users to easily create a secure and fast virtual private network using Virtual Private Network (VPN) for international networks that can provide many benefits, including security, privacy, unlimited access, and more efficient network management. The government has the right to monitor and take action if there is an indication of VPN misuse for illegal activities. WireGuard uses a combination of modern cryptography and network techniques to achieve high performance and strong security. In this study, researchers used the SDLC (Software / System Development life cycle) method where the method is quite detailed covering six stages, namely: planning (Planning), analysis (analysis), design (design), implementation (implementation), testing (testing), maintenance (maintenance). At the testing stage, there needs to be control and monitoring of the local network and packet los that will see changes in the IP address of the user, the aim is to maintain stability when using a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Abstract

This study aims to classify attenuation quality in fiber optic networks using the K-Means algorithm. The classification model is designed to group data based on the characteristics of network parameters collected from field measurements. This research also compares the performance of models built with all features and those using selected features. The evaluation uses two main metrics, Sum of Squared Errors (SSE) and Silhouette Coefficient, to assess the quality of the clustering results. Testing shows that the use of selected features produces better clusters, with an SSE of 91.75 and a Silhouette Coefficient of 0.5923, compared to using all features, which results in an SSE of 101.98 and a Silhouette Coefficient of 0.4977. These results indicate that selecting the right features can positively impact cluster quality, although it is not the sole determining factor. Overall, K-Means has been proven effective in grouping attenuation quality, making it useful for supporting efficient fiber optic network maintenance and monitoring.

Abstract

New student admission is a very important process in higher education that requires fast, accurate, and organized information. At Bina Insani University, this process was previously done manually and using WhatsApp messaging services directly by the admin, which caused delays in response, repeated questions, and difficulties in managing registration documents. The purpose of this research is to build a new student admission information system that can speed up the registration process, reduce admin workload, and centralize registration documents digitally. This research uses the Extreme Programming (XP) method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. This system is implemented using CodeIgniter with MySQL database and integrates real-time notifications via WhatsApp and Email using RabbitMQ architecture as a message broker. The results of the system implementation show that automatic notifications can improve the efficiency of information services, reduce repetitive questions, and speed up the response and document distribution process. The system also facilitates the search for registration documents with Google Drive integration. In conclusion, this system makes a significant contribution in improving the quality of new student admission services at Bina Insani University.
