Abstract

Addressing the issue of vagrants and beggars (GEPENG) in urban areas poses a significant challenge for local governments, including the Social Service of Pekanbaru City. To tackle this problem, the Social Service of Pekanbaru City has implemented a guidance program aimed at social rehabilitation, economic empowerment, and social reintegration of vagrants and beggars. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the guidance program at the Social Service of Pekanbaru City based on indicators such as the reduction in the number of vagrants and beggars, the success of social rehabilitation, skill enhancement, and its impact on the social and economic lives of the participants. The study employs a qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The evaluation results indicate that the guidance program has successfully reduced the number of vagrants and beggars in Pekanbaru. However, significant challenges remain in terms of program sustainability, difficulties in social reintegration, and limited resources for skill training and economic empowerment. Factors affecting the program's effectiveness include budget constraints, social stigma towards vagrants and beggars, and a lack of community support in reducing the practice of giving money to beggars on the streets. The study recommends increasing the budget, strengthening collaboration among relevant parties, and providing more intensive support for participants after the guidance program.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the implementation of law enforcement policies against foreign nationals (WNA) who violate immigration regulations and to identify the factors hindering this implementation at the Class I Immigration Office, Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Pekanbaru. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study to capture the experiences of policy implementers and relevant parties, data were obtained through in-depth interviews with relevant informants. The findings indicate that the implementation faces significant obstacles categorized based on Edward III's theory: communication, resources, implementer attitudes, and bureaucratic structure. Communication barriers include language difficulties between immigration officers and foreign nationals and a lack of socialization to the public. In terms of resources, although there is a sufficient number of personnel, the lack of responsiveness of some officers and uneven technological facilities slow down the law enforcement process. The attitudes of policy implementers, who are sometimes unfriendly and overly rigid, affect the comfort and trust of foreign nationals. Additionally, the hierarchical bureaucratic structure delays decision-making, especially in handling immigration violations. To improve the effectiveness of policy implementation, reforms in communication through multilingual services, equal distribution of technological facilities, training for policy implementers to enhance professionalism, and simplification of the bureaucratic structure are needed. These measures are expected to expedite the handling of violations and support more optimal law enforcement against foreign nationals in Indonesia.

Abstract

The environmental strategy to address the waste pile-up in Tembilahan City requires an integrated approach involving various parties. This study uses a qualitative research method with data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants were selected using purposive sampling. This study employs triangulation techniques in data analysis. The theory applied in this research is the SWOT analysis theory by Freddy Rangkuti. The study highlights the importance of improving infrastructure, such as adding waste collection vehicles and waste processing facilities, as well as strengthening waste management policies that are more assertive and sustainable. In addition, the role of public education in raising awareness to sort and manage waste independently is a key element in this strategy. The research results show that the Environmental and Sanitation Office's strategy in addressing the waste pile-up in Tembilahan City has been well-implemented, but there are factors that influence the strategy. Internal factors such as limited resources and office management, as well as external factors such as the lack of public behavioral awareness, also affect the success of these efforts. Through collaboration between the government, private sector, and the community, waste management in Tembilahan City is expected to become more effective and sustainable, thus supporting the creation of a clean and healthy environment for the community.

Abstract

This research is based on the establishment of sago processed (SMEs) in West Banglas Village, there are many employees who are members there, whether (SMEs) in West Banglas Village can increase economic independence. The purpose of this study is to find out how far the role of sago processed MSME managers is in increasing the economic independence of employees in West Banglas Village, Meranti Islands Regency. The number of informants in this study was five people. This research method uses qualitative research methods, with observational data collection techniques, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the research conducted by the researcher, it can be concluded that the role of sago processed MSME managers in increasing economic independence has played a role as training in terms of providing skills and knowledge, as assistance in terms of increasing income, as organizing in terms of opening job opportunities, as a motivator.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) coaching program in the Meranti Islands Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach method which is sourced from primary data and secondary data with 8 resource persons, using interview, observation and documentation research techniques. The results of this study indicate that the coaching carried out by the Meranti Islands Regency Cooperative, UKM and Labor Office has been carried out well, but has not been fully achieved. This is due to budget constraints in carrying out coaching activities for MSMEs and still lack of participation from business actors, lack of minotoring, as well as the lack of comprehensive program socialization for MSMEs and relationships between organizations that are not optimal. In coaching activities, the Office of Cooperatives, SMEs and Manpower of the Kepuluan Meranti Regency needs to provide more guidance, training to MSMEs and carry out routine checks on MSMEs, so that coaching for MSEs is carried out.

Abstract

Organizational culture is a system of values, beliefs, assumptions, or a norm that has been applied, agreed upon and followed by human resources in an organization as a principle or guideline and solving problems that arise in an organization. In building an organizational culture, of course, each organization, regardless of the type and level of the organization, has different experiences in some circumstances and has a similarity in certain circumstances. This indicates that there is dynamism in an organization in building organizational culture as a guideline and principle for each individual in an organization in carrying out their respective duties and obligations to succeed in building organizational goals. Organizational culture is born from a long process starting from the beginning of the establishment of the organization to the formation phase and to the success phase. A long journey, both in the form of failure and success is a journey that is then used as a foothold in building organizational culture.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Abdi Budi Mulia, South Labuhan Batu Regency, North Sumatra, which operates in the Palm Oil sector. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the ability, commitment and work environment have a partial or simultaneous effect on employee performance at the palm oil mill I of PT. Abdi Budi Mulia. The population of the study was 58 people and the sample used was 58 people. The method of determining the sample in this study used a census sample. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the ability partially had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Budi Abdi Mulia. Commitment partially had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The work environment had a partial effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, the variables Ability, commitment and work environment had an effect on employee performance. The amount of contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable was 84,6%.

Abstract

In Indonesia, banking is a crucial part of the financial infrastructure, the role of banking partners is in collecting funds from the public and providing loans and other financial services. With the rapid growth in the sharia banking industry, the need for Human Resources (HR) who have special expertise in the sharia banking sector seems to be increasing. This research aims to determine the effect of work stress and employee transfers on performance. The research was carried out on employees at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Ujung Batu. The type of research used in this research is quantitative. The sample consisted of 35 people using the nonprobability sampling technique, total sampling method. The data analysis method in this research uses multiple linear analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 application. The results of the research show that the Job Stress variable (X1) has a positive and significant influence on performance (Y), and Employee Transfer (X2) has a positive influence and significant to Performance (Y).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of product quality (X1) product features (X2) and location (X3) on customer satisfaction (Y) at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Sub-Branch Office (KCP) Pangkalan Kerinci, both partially and individually. simultaneous. The population in this study were all customers who used the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Sub-Branch Office (KCP) Pangkalan Kerinci, totaling 100 people. The sampling method in this research used accidental sampling. The data used are primary and secondary data. The data analysis method in this research is quantitative using multiple linear regression tests and the data is analyzed using the SPSS program. The research results show that the variables product quality,product features and location affect customer satisfaction both partially and simultaneously. The result of the coefficient of determination is 0.643, shows that the product quality, product features and location as a whole have an influence of 64.3% on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The establishment of ETLE is a technological development carried out from manual (conventional) ticketing to electronic ticketing (ETLE) with the aim of preventing extortion and traffic accidents. This study aims to determine the analysis of the implementation of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) in Pekanbaru City and what are the obstacles in the implementation of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) in Pekanbaru City. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection from interviews, observations and documentation. This study uses Edward's theory with the indicators used, namely: Communication, Resources, Disposition, Bureaucratic Structure. The results of this study indicate that the Implementation of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) in the Riau Police Traffic Directorate Jurisdiction has been carried out properly and as it should be, but there are several obstacles such as less than optimal communication between the police and the public regarding ETLE, the limited ETLE facilities in arresting traffic violators.
