Abstract

BLENDED LEARNING: KEEFEKTIFAN E-LEARNING BERBASIS SCHOOLOGY TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATISAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas e-learning berbasis schoology terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP pada materi Sistem Persaman Linier Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP di Kota Cirebon. Sampel terdiri atas kelas VIII-B2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan schoology dan VIII-C2 sebagai kelas kontrol tanpa menggunakan schoology. Adapun proses pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket respons. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t, dan uji gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan schoology lebih baik daripada tanpa menggunakan schoology. Hasil rata-rata N-gain yang diperoleh sebesar 0,68 dan berada pada kategori peningkatan sedang. Siswa memiliki respons positif terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan schoology. Melalui aplikasi schoology, siswa belajar secara berkelanjutan tanpa terbatas oleh ruang kelas dan efektif digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran.AbstractThis study was aimed at determining the effectiveness of schoology based e-learning on the mathematical communication ability of junior high school students on the Linier Equation System of Two Variables (LESTV). The population in this study were all students of class VIII junior high school in Cirebon. The sample consisted of two classes, VIII-B2 as an experimental class applying schoology and VIII-C2 as a control class without using schoology. The sampling process used purposive sampling technique. This type of research used was a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection techniques were carried out by tests of mathematical communication skills and response questionnaires. The data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and gain test. The results show that the students of experimental class that use schoology have higher ability than the students of the control class. The average N-gain obtained is 0.68 and as moderate category. The students have a positive response to learning using schoology. Through the schoology application, students allow to learn continuously without being limited by the classroom and effectively used as a medium in learning.

Abstract

ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KECEPATAN KENAIKAN KARIR GURU SEKOLAH DASARAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kemampuan guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah, motivasi berprestasi, disiplin kerja, dan pengaruhnya pada kenaikan pangkat guru; hubungan antara kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah, motivasi berprestasi, disiplin kerja terhadap kecepatan kenaikan pangkat. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian survei. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru PNS sekolah dasar negeri di Sleman yang berjumlah 172 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket (kuesioner) dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan metode internal consistency. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistika inferensial dengan cara menganalisis korelasi dan analisis regresi sederhana/berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan kemampuan guru sekolah dasar negeri dalam menulis karya ilmiah, motivasi berprestasi guru, dan disiplin kerja mayoritas masuk termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Kemampuan guru sekolah dasar negeri dalam menulis karya ilmiah, motivasi berprestasi guru, dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh pada kecepatan kenaikan pangkat guru sekolah dasar negeri.AbstractThis study was aimed at determining teachers' scientific paper writing ability, achievement motivation, work discipline, and the impact on teacher promotion; and the relationship between the ability to write scientific papers, achievement motivation, work discipline to the speed of the promotion. This study was categorized as survey research. The subjects of this study were 172 elementary school teachers (state civil apparatus) in Sleman. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and tests. The instrument used has been tested for validity and reliability using the internal consistency method. The collected data were then analyzed using inferential statistics by analyzing correlations and simple/multiple regression.The results show that the majority of scientific paper writing ability, achievement motivation, and work disciplines of the teacher are as a medium category. It is also can be found that the writing scientific paper ability, achievement motivation, and work discipline has an effect on their career promotion.

Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MULTIMEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF UNTUK RANAH PSIKOMOTORIK SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUANAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia yang layak dan memiliki kontribusi dalam proses pembelajaran dengan memperhatikan ranah psikomotorik. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode peneltian Research and Development yang diadaptasi dari Borg and Gall. Strategi pembelajaran menggunakan model ASSURE. Penelitian ini menempuh proses validasi masing-masing dua ahli materi dan ahli media. Validasi ahli bertujuan untuk menilai tingkat kelayakan dari multimedia. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, angket kelayakan multimedia oleh ahli media, angket kelayakan multimedia oleh ahli materi dan angket kelayakan multimedia oleh siswa. Skala penilaian menggunakan skala Likert dengan skala 1-5. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa produk multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dan memiliki kontribusi pada ranah psikomotorik siswa. Hasil dari validasi ahli dan uji coba produk diperoleh hasil dengan rentang skor minimal memiliki kriteria “baik”, sehingga dikatakan produk yang dikembangkan “layak”.AbstractThis study aims to produce a viable multimedia that contributes in the learning process by paying attention to the psychomotor domain. The subject of research students of Grade XI Vocational High School. This research and development referred to the nine steps of Borg and Gall’s development model. This learning strategies using ASSURE model. This product was validated by two material experts and two media experts. Validating the material aimed to know the feasibility level of the multimedia. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The data were collected by using interview guidelines, observations sheet, and a multimedia feasibility questionnaire by a media expert, a multimedia feasibility questionnaire by a material expert and a multimedia feasibility questionnaire by students. Scale assessment using Likert scale with scale 1-5. The result of this research showed that the multimedia learning is feasible to use and contribute in student psychomotor field. The results of experts validation and product trial results obtained with a minimum score range having a "good" criterion, so that said the developed product is "feasible".Keywords: multimedia, psychomotor, Research and Development

Abstract

THE DEVELOPMENT OF ROLE-PLAYING LEARNING MODEL DESIGN ON ACCOUNTING SUBJECTAbstractThis study was aimed to generate a product of an effective role-playing learning model design on basic competences of practicing accounting cycles in service companies for the eleventh grade students. The research procedures were done based on ADDIE model. The developed product design was validated by the experts of learning materials, the experts of learning media, the experts of learning design, and the experts of characters building. The product was tested on Stella Duce 1 Senior High School students both in small groups which consisted of 12 people and a large group of 40 people. The instruments which was used to assess product validity included material aspects, media aspects, aspects of learning, and aspects of character building. The result of the experts’ validation and testing to students showed that it was a very good developed product. This meant that the role-playing learning model design on basic competences of practicing accounting cycles in service companies for the eleventh grade students was worth implementing in the learning activities.PENGEMBANGAN DESAIN PEMBELAJARAN MODEL ROLE-PLAYING PADA MATA PELAJARAN AKUNTANSIAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa desain pembelajaran model role-playing yang efektif untuk pembelajaran pada kompetensi dasar mempraktikkan siklus akuntansi perusahaan jasa untuk siswa kelas XI SMA. Prosedur pengembangan produk penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan Model ADDIE. Produk yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh ahli materi pembelajaran, ahli media pembelajaran, ahli desain pembelajaran, dan ahli pendidikan karakter. Produk diujicobakan kepada siswa-siswa SMA Stella Duce 1 baik kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari 12 orang maupun kelompok besar yang terdiri dari 40 orang. Instrumen untuk menilai validitas produk mencakup aspek materi, aspek media, aspek pembelajaran, dan aspek pendidikan karakter. Hasil validasi dari para ahli dan hasil ujicoba pada siswa-siswa menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat baik. Artinya, desain model role-playing yang dikembangkan untuk pembelajaran pada kompetensi dasar mempraktikkan siklus akuntansi perusahaan jasa untuk siswa kelas XI SMA layak untuk diimplementasikan dalam praktik pembelajaran.

Abstract

MODEL MENTAL CALON GURU KIMIA PADA KONSEP TETAPAN KESETIMBANGAN DAN DERAJAT DISOSIASIAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi model mental calon guru kimia pada konsep tetapan kesetimbangan dan derajat disosiasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif eksploratif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa semester lima di Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Riau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model mental mahasiswa sebagai calon guru kimia pada konsep tetapan kesetimbangan terbagi menjadi enam model yang tergolong mengalami miskonsepsi yaitu kekurangpahaman mengenai kesetimbangan heterogen, kesalahan penulisan persamaan Kp, pemahaman tentang nilai Kc bergantung pada pangkat dari koefisien reaksi pada kondisi reaksi yang sama, kesalahan menentukan satuan tetapan kesetimbangan, kesalahan menghitung Δn, dan tidak mengetahui koefisien reaksi zat yang tidak tertulis angka. Adapun model mental calon guru kimia pada konsep derajat disosiasi terbagi menjadi tiga yaitu model saintifik derajat disosiasi, model tanpa pengertian disosiasi, dan model kesalahan jumlah mol awal. Kata kunci: model mental, calon guru kimia, tetapan kesetimbangan, derajat disosiasiAbstractThis study was aimed at exploring the mental model of prospective chemistry teacher on the concepts of equilibrium constant and the degree of dissociation. This study used explorative qualitative research model. The research was conducted at the fifth semester students in the Chemistry Study Program at Riau University. The results show that the mental model of students as prospective chemistry teachers on the concept of the equilibrium constant is divided into six models that are classified as experiencing misconceptions: the lack of understanding about heterogeneous equilibrium, error writing in Kp equation, misunderstanding of the value of Kc depends on the rank of the reaction coefficient under the same reaction conditions, the error of determining the unit of equilibrium constant, the error of calculating Δn, and the lack of understanding regarding to the reaction coefficient of an unwritten number of substances. The mental model of prospective chemistry teachers on the concept of dissociation degree is divided into three: the scientific model of dissociation degree, the model without understanding dissociation, and the initial mole number error model.

Abstract

Chemistry learning in high school that trains and develops students’ self-sufficiency and independence has not been done optimally because learners still depend on getting information and knowledge from teachers. Problem-based learning method used in the teaching and learning process is expected to facilitate students’ with self-reliance and learning independence. This method is a problem-oriented learning method that makes students be accustomed to solving problems in order to train their ability in discoveringa concept in the learning process. Teaching learning process with PBL model is done for the subject matter of acid base solution and electrolyte non electrolyte solution. Learning independence assessed in this study were self-management, motivation, and confidence. The data of the study were in the form of descriptive quantitative data and analyzed using Anava / Anacova test. The research findings showed that there was a difference of students’ learning independence through the application of problem-based learning method and control method in teaching and learning process.

Abstract

KEEFEKTIFAN COLLABORATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING BERBASIS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITISAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan strategi Collaborative Problem Solving berbasis Multiple Intelligences (CPS-MI) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kecerdasan logis matematis, dan penguasaan konsep kimia peserta didik, serta mengetahui hubungan antara berpikir kritis, kecerdasan logis matematis dengan penguasaan konsep kimia. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain pre-test-post test control group. Sampel terdiri atas 93 peserta didik kelompok eksperimen dan 90 peserta didik kelompok kontrol dari tiga SMA di Kota Banjarmasin yang dipilih melalui metode stratified random sampling. Kelompok eksperimen menerapkan strategi CPS-MI, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal Test, angket multiple intelligences, lembar observasi, dan tes penguasaan konsep Hidrolisis garam. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase, chi square test, Anava satu jalur, dan uji korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi CPS-MI efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kecerdasan logis matematis dan penguasaan konsep kimia. Berdasarkan temuan ini strategi CPS-MI efektif diterapkan sebagai alternatif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kecerdasan logis matematis peserta didik. AbstractThis study was aimed at determining the effectiveness of Multiple Intelligences based Collaborative Problem-Solving (MI-CPS) strategy in improving students' critical thinking skills, mathematical logical intelligence, and chemical concept mastery, as well as knowing the relationship between critical thinking, mathematical logical intelligence, and chemical concept mastery. The study used a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 93 experimental group students and 90 control group students from three high schools in Banjarmasin. The samples were selected through a stratified random sampling method. The experimental group applied the MI-CPS strategy, while the control group applied conventional learning. The instruments used were Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal Test, multiple intelligences questionnaire, observation sheet, and mastery test concept of salt hydrolysis. The research data were analyzed using percentage techniques, chi-square test, one-way ANAVA, and multiple correlation tests. The results show that the MI-CPS strategy is effective in improving critical thinking skills, mathematical logical intelligence, and mastery of chemical concepts. Based on these findings, the MI-CPS strategy is effectively applied as an alternative to improving students' critical thinking skills and mathematical logical intelligence.

Abstract

PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING: IMPLEMENTASI DAN URGENSINYA BAGI PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARANAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan implementasi model Problem-based Learning (PBL) dan urgensinya bagi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di SMK. Penelitian dilakukan di 9 SMK program revitalisasi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa. Objek penelitian adalah model PBL. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan observasi yang dilakukan oleh guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Model PBL dapat diimplementasikan melalui 6 tahap, yaitu tahap pendahuluan, mengorganisasikan, melakukan penyelidikan, membangun hasil penyelidikan dan menyajikan hasil karya, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah. Model PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, kreativitas, berfikir kritis, minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Model PBL dapat merubah paradigma belajar, dari kegiatan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada guru menjadi pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada siswa. Penerapan Model PBL berdampak pada peningkatan kemampuan siswa, pada aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Hambatan pelaksanaan model PBL disebabkan kurangnya mind set guru terhadap proses belajar mengajar yang berorientasi pada siswa, kesulitan membuat trigger, kekhawatiran tidak tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran, dan kekurangberanian siswa untuk menyampaikan hal-hal baru yang berbeda dalam upaya memecahkan masalah. AbstractThis study was aimed at describing the implementation of the Problem-based Learning (PBL) model and its urgency for improving the quality of learning in vocational high school. The study was conducted in 9 vocational revitalization programs in Yogyakarta. The research subjects were teachers and students. The object of research was the PBL model. The data were collected through questionnaires and observations made by the teacher. The results show that PBL model can be implemented through 6 stages, namely the preliminary, organization, investigation, investion report analysis and presentation, and problem solving analysis and evaluation stages. PBL model is able to improve learning outcomes, creativity, critical thinking, interest and motivation of the students. The PBL model is also able to change the learning paradigm, from teacher-oriented to student-oriented learning activity. The application of the PBL model has an impact on improving students' abilities on cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. The obstacles in implementing PBL model are due to the lack of teacher's mind set towards student-oriented teaching and learning processes, difficulties in triggering, fears of not achieving learning objectives, and students' lack of courage to convey different new things in an effort to solve problems.Keywords: problem based learning, vocational school, learning quality

Abstract

PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN MISKONSEPSI MAHASISWA CALON GURU PADA HUKUM KEPLERAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi tingkat pemahaman konsep dan miskonsepsi mahasiswa calon guru pada hukum Kepler. Subjek penelitian adalah 68 mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Ilmu Pengetahuan Bumi dan Antariksa (IPBA). Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik persampelan purposif. Pengumpulan dan analisis data menggunakan mix method, gabungan penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah two-tear test berupa penyusunan peringkat dan pemberian alasan. Analisis dilakukan terhadap dua lapis data yang dianalisis secara bersamaan berdasarkan tingkat pemahaman konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman konsep bervariasi dengan dominasi Paham Sebagian dan Miskonsepsi (33,82%) untuk Hukum II Kepler dan Paham Sebagian (42,65%) untuk Hukum III Kepler. Penelitian mendapatkan 14 bentuk miskonsepsi berkaitan dengan kecepatan, perioda, dan jarak orbit benda langit mengitari bintangnya dan pengaruh massa serta bentuk orbit ter-hadap variabel kecepatan, perioda, dan jarak orbit. Sebelas miskonsepsi belum dilaporkan pada penelitian sebelumnya. Pembelajaran tradisional tidak berhasil dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep karena berorientasi pada penguasaan rumus dan penghafalan fakta. Perlu inovasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep, miskonsepsi, hukum Kepler, IPBAAbstractThis study was aimed at investigating the level of understanding of the concepts and misconceptions of teacher students in Kepler's law. The research subjects were 68 students participating in the Earth and Space Sciences (ESS) course. The sample was chosen based on the purposive sampling technique. The collection and analysis of the data used a mixed-method, a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. The instrument used was a two-tear test in the form of ranking and explanation. The analysis was carried out on two layers of data which were then analyzed simultaneously based on an analysis of the level of conceptual understanding. The results show that the level of concept understanding varied with the dominance of Partial Understanding and Misconception (33.82%) for Kepler's Law II and Partial Understanding (42.65%) for Kepler's Law III. The study found 14 forms of misconception related to the velocity, period, and orbital distance of celestial bodies around the star and the effect of mass and orbital shape on variable velocity, period, and orbital distance. Eleven misconceptions have not been reported in previous studies. The failure of conventional learning in improving understanding of concepts is due to the application of traditional approaches that are oriented towards mastering formulas and memorizing facts. Learning innovation is needed to improve the mastery of concepts.

Abstract

KEEFEKTIFAN STRATEGI THE POWER OF TWO TERHADAP KECAKAPAN CRITICAL THINKING SISWAAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas strategi the power of two terhadap kecakapan critical thinking. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi-experimental design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di sekolah dengan kemampuan level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah di daerah Kabupaten Bantul Yogyakarta pada Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel kelas dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terpilih 2 kelas pada masing-masing sekolah. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data tes kecakapan critical thinking. Data dianalisis melalui uji independent sampel t-test dan uji Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan strategi the power of two lebih efektif daripada menggunakan strategi ekspositori terhadap kecakapan critical thinking siswa SMA Kelas XI MIPA, terdapat perbedaan kecakapan critical thinking pembelajaran yang menggunakan strategi the power of two dan pembelajaran yang menggunakan strategi ekspositori terhadap kecakapan critical thinking pada sekolah dengan level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, dan ada interaksi antara penggunaan strategi the power of two dan sekolah dengan level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah terhadap kecakapan critical thinking peserta didik.Kata kunci: the power of two, critical thinking, strategi ekspositoriAbstractThis study was aimed at examining the effectiveness of the power of two strategy on critical thinking skills. This research was chategorized as a quasi-experimental design research. The study was conducted in high, medium and low-level schools in Yogyakarta in the even semester of the 2018/2019 school year. Class samples were selected using a random sampling technique, then 2 classes were selected in each school. The data collected were critical thinking skills test data. There data then analyzed through independent sample t-test and ANOVA test. The results show that the power of two strategy was more effective than using expository strategies for the critical thinking skills of high school students. There were differences in critical thinking learning skills using the power of two strategy and expository strategy for critical thinking skills in schools with high, medium, and low levels. There is also an interaction between the use of the power of two strategy towards the students' critical thinking skills.
