Abstract

This research head for measure profile of students’ science literacy ability in environmental pollution and global warming material. The study was conducted in one of SMP Negeri Semarang with samples of 70 students from grade VII D and VII E. The profile of literacy science of students from the highest percentage till the lowest was science as a body of a knowledge was 70,36%, science as a way of thinking was 61,71%, the interaction between science, technology, and society was 61,43% categorized enough level, and science as a way for investigating was 38,21 categorized too less.keywords: science literacy, scince literacy ability

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika, (2) mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode pengembangan R D (Research dan Development). Pada tahap Development, peneliti mengadopsi model 4D, yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dari segi produk pendukung pembelajaran yang memenuhi kriteria sangat tinggi menurut para ahli, praktis menurut guru dan peserta didik. Lembar observasi yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan reliabel berdasarkan hasil ICC dan tes hasil belajar yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan reliabel berdasarkan hasil Quest. Selain itu, model outdoor learning melalui project berbasis local wisdom lebih efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika dilihat dari hasil analisis multivariate dan GLMMDs yang memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 dan MD yang tinggi.   AbstractThis research was aimed to: (1) produce outdoor learning via project based suitable local wisdom model used in physics learning, (2) know the effectiveness in using outdoor learning via project based local wisdom model. This developing research used a R D method (Research and Development). On Development step, the researcher adopted 4D model, they were Define, Design, Develop, dan Dissemination. The results showed that the developed outdoor learning via project based local wisdom model was suitable to be used in terms of learning support product that was in very high category according expert, practical according teacher and students. In addition the observation sheet was in valid criteria and reliabel based on ICC and the learning outcome test was in valid criteria and reliabel based on Quest. Besides, outdoor learning via project based local wisdom model was effective to be used in physics learning, seen from analysis result of multivariate and GLMMDs got 0,000 significant score and very high of MD.

Abstract

 This research  was conducted to produce inquiry-based science virtual laboratory that was eligible for developing students' thinking skills in science learning, and  to determine the effectiveness of a virtual laboratory to develop students' thinking skills. The research method was Research and Development (R D), by pointing to Four D models and Borg Gall Model. There were 4 main phases (define, design, develop, disseminate) and additional phases (preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, and operational product revision).  Research subjects were junior high school students of 7rd class. The instruments used included product validation questionnaire, observation sheet of thinking skill, and test. For the validation of data and student response data were analyzed descriptively; and test results were analyzed by paired-t test. The results showed that the inquiry-based science virtual laboratory product was considered as excellent by expert and teacher and it was appropriate to use in science learning. Its effectiveness to increase students' thinking skills was showed by by significant  value=0,000 from t-paired test..

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of Science Process Skills between a group of students who learn Science by using subject spesific pedagogy (SSP) of the elaborative lab work result - based with the ones who learn by using subject spesific pedagogy (SSP) of conventional lab work - based in the IX grade of SMPN 2 Tolitoli in academic year 2016/2017. The type of research is quasi-experimental study using non equivalent control group design. Two classes are chosen as samples by using random sampling techniques, they are class IXB as the experimental class and IXC as the control class. Each class consists of 31 Students. The data of science process skills (SPS) are obtained through observation sheets. Then the data are analyzed by descriptive analysis techniques on significance of 5%. The result shows the significance is 0,005, thus it can be concluded that the application of SSP during teaching and learning process of Science of the elaborative lab work result-based significantly effects on science process skills (SPS) of the students compared with the conventional ones. It is also reinforced by the improvement of criteria of SPS, which is 0,5 (medium category) for the experimental class and 0,1 (low category) for the control class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian menggunakan software iSpring QuizMaker pada materi kesetimbangan kimia kelas XI di SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. Adapun tahap pengembangan instrumen penilaian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengum­pulan data awal; perencanaan; pembuatan produk awal; uji coba awal; perbaikan produk awal; uji coba lapangan, dan perbaikan produk operasional. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan mempunyai nilai hasil validasi sebesar 1 yang terkategori sangat tinggi. Diperoleh nilai r11 sebesar 1,05 yang menunjukkan instrumen hasil pengembangan reliabel dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Kepraktisan ditunjukkan oleh respon positif guru sebesar 82,5% dan siswa sebesar 72,5% yang terkategori sangat kuat. Keefektifan ditunjukkan oleh persentase ketuntasan siswa sebesar 76,9 %,. Berdasarkan analisis kualitas tes, soal diberi tingkat kesulitan berdasarkan proporsi soal yang dibuat. Soal mampu membedakan peserta didik yang sudah menguasai dengan peserta didik yang belum menguasai indeks daya beda pada rentang 0,20≤ DB≤ 0,40.

Abstract

Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Analisis Proksimat Melalui Model Research pada Peserta Didik Kelas XIII Kimia Analisis SMKIndayatmiProgram Studi Kimia Analisis SMK Negeri 2 Depok, Sleman, Yogyakartaindayatmi@ymail.com AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menggunakan model pembelajaran research untuk meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik dan hasil belajar pada kompetensi Analisis Proksimat kelas XIII SMK Negeri 2 Depok. Penelitian yang dilakukan terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu pra siklus, siklus 1, dan siklus 2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, evaluasi hasil belajar, penilaian proses research, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran research dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XIII yaitu pada pra siklus diperoleh nilai evaluasi belajar rata-rata sebesar 63, siklus 1 sebesar 80, siklus 2 sebesar 87. Penggunaan model pembelajaran research dapat meningkatkan jumlah peserta didik yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal yaitu pada pra siklus sebanyak 7 peserta didik, siklus 1 sebanyak 18 peserta didik, siklus 2 sebanyak 22 peserta didik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran research dapat meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik dan hasil belajar Analisis Proksimat pada peserta didik kelas XIII SMK Negeri 2 Depok.Kata Kunci : research; Analisis Proksimat; aktivitas; hasil belajar   Improvement of Learning Result Proksimate Analysis by Research Model in Student Class XIII Chemical Analysis SMK  AbstractThis research aims to use learning research model to increase the activity students and learning outcomes in chemistry competency of class XIII SMK Negeri 2 Depok. Research carried out comprises of three stages : pre-cycle, cycle 1 and cycle 2. Data collection was conducted through observation, evaluation of learning outcomes, assessment research, and documentation. The results showed that the use research learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students of class XIII on pre cycle of learning evaluation values obtained by an average of 63, cycle 1 by 80, cycles 2 of 87. The use of the learning model research can increase the number of learners who on pre-cycle can increase the number of learner who achieve minimum scor criteria minimum of 7 students on cycle 1 of 18 students on cycle 2 of 22 students. The conclusion of this study is the use research learning model can improve the activity of the learner and the learning outcomes chemistry on students of class XIII SMK Negeri 2 Depok.Keywords : research-chemical-activity-learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bantul Yogyakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling (teknik sampling kelompok). Jumlah anggota sampel penelitian ini 484 siswa kelas IX SMP dari 17 SMP Negeri yang dipilih dari setiap kecamatan di Kabupaten Bantul Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dengan instrumen 10 butir soal literasi yang memliliki reliabilitas dengan kualifikasi baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi matematika siswa SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bantul masih tergolong kategori sangat rendah. Kemampuan literasi matematika siswa SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bantul untuk domain konten bilangan,  peluang dan data termasuk kategori sedang, sedangkan untuk konten aljabar termasuk dalam kategori rendah, dan geometri termasuk kategori sangat rendah. Kemampuan literasi matematika siswa SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bantul untuk domain proses memformulasikan situasi matematika termasuk kategori tinggi, untuk domain proses menggunakan konsep, fakta, prosedur, dan penalaran matematika termasuk kategori rendah , dan untuk domain proses menafsirkan, menerapkan, dan mengevaluasi hasil matematika termasuk kategori sangat rendah.Kata kunci: literasi matematika  Mathematical literacy of state junior secondary school students in Bantul Regency AbstractThe aim of this research was to describe mathematical literacy of State Junior Secondary School students in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta. The sampling was cluster random sampling. The number of member of sample used was 484 students that were choosen from 17th Junior Secondary Schools in each subdistrict in Bantul Regency. The data collection was by tests. The students were tested with 10 items of mathematical literacy problem which have good reliability qualification. The research finding revealed that mathematical literacy of State Junior Secondary School students in Bantul Regency was in very low category. Mathematical literacy of State Junior Secondary School students in Bantul Regency for quantity, uncertainty and data belongs to average category, whereas for algebra belongs to low category, and for geometry belongs to very low category. Mathematical literacy of State Junior Secondary School students in Bantul Regency for formulating situations mathematically domains belongs to high category, for employing mathematical concepts, fact, procedures, and reasoning domains belongs to low category, and for interpreting, applying, and evaluating mathematical outcomes domains belongs to very low category.Keywords: mathematical literacy

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Outdoor Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah Outdoor Learning berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Mengacu pada teori perkembangan kognitifnya penggunaan Outdoor Learning dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar pada media pembelajaran dan semua aktifitas belajar yang dilakukan oleh siswa di bawah pengawasan dan bimbingan guru. Penggunaan sumber belajar yang bersifat kontektual mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Data penelitian dapat diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes yang terdiri dari seperangkat soal uraian untuk mengukur dan mengetahui  kemampuan  awal  matematika  berupa  kemampuan  berpikir  kritis siswa. Hasil analisis pengaruh penerapan metode Outdoor Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif penerapan metode Outdoor Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Kesimpulan dari peneitian ini adalah metode Outdoor learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar matematika berbasis masalah yang berorientasi pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan prestasi belajar matematika, yang valid, praktis, dan efektif, pada materi lingkaran VIII SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang dikembangkan diadaptasi dari model pengembangan ADDIE. Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan meliputi: tahap analisis, tahap perencanaan, tahap pengembangan, tahap implementasi, dan tahap evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, lembar penilaian guru, lembar penilaian siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, dan tes prestasi belajar matematika. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan guru yang dan buku siswa yang dikembangkan berada dalam kategori sangat baik dan baik. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan guru dan buku siswa berada dalam kategori baik. Hasil uji coba berdasarkan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan prestasi belajar matematika mencapai hasil masing-masing 72% dan 75% serta menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan guru dan buku siswa berada dalam kategori baik. Sehingga, disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar matematika berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas yang valid, praktis, dan efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Developing Problem-Based Mathematics Instructional Materials Oriented to Students’ Mathematics Problem Solving Skill And Mathematics Achievement AbstractThis research aimed to produce a problem-based mathematics instructional materials oriented to students’ mathematics problem solving skill and achievement, which is valid, practical, and effective, on the topic of circle for VIII grade students of  junior high school. This developmental research used ADDIE developmental model, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation step. The instrument used in this research were validation sheet, teacher assessment sheet, student assessment sheet, teaching  observation sheet, test of students’ mathematics problem solving skill and achievement. This research produces problem-based mathematics instructional materials consisting teacher guide book and student book. The result of the validation shows that the teacher guide book and student book was very good and good. The result of the try out indicated that teacher guide book and student book were good. The result of the try out based on students’ mathematics problem solving skill and mathematics achievement reached 72% and 75%, showed that the teacher guide book and student book were good. It can conclude that a problem-based mathematics instructional materials was valid, practical, and effective oriented to students’ mathematics problem solving skill and achievement.Keywords: mathematics instructional materials based on problem,mathematics problem solving skiil, mathematics students achievement

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan signifikan dalam hal (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan antara peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model STM dan 5M bila pengetahuan awal dikendalikan secara statistik (2) kemampuan berpikir kritis sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas STM dan (3) sikap peduli lingkungan sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas STM pada materi pembelajaran Senyawa Turunan Alkana di SMAN 1 Yogyakarta. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan post test design only. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 234 peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji multivariat kovarians (mankova) dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam hal (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan antara peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model STM dan 5M bila pengetahuan awal dikendalikan secara statistik (2) kemampuan berpikir kritis sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas STM dan (3) sikap peduli lingkungan sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas STM pada materi pembelajaran Senyawa Turunan Alkana di SMAN 1 Yogyakarta.Kata Kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, sains teknologi dan masyarakat (STM), sikap peduli lingkungan dan pengetahuan awal. THE EFFECT OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, AND SOCIETY ON CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ATTITUDES STUDENT AbstractThis study aimed to investigate the significant difference in (1) critical thinking skill and environmental attitudes of student which learning use STM and 5M model by controlling student’s prior knowledge; (2) critical thinking skill before and after learning use STM model; and (3) environmental attitudes before and after learning use STM model in derivates alkanes of class XII students Senior High School 1 of Yogyakarta year 2016/2017. This study used the quasi experimental method with post-test design only. The population is 234 student. The data was analyzed using the multivariate analysis of covariance (mancova) test with the signifance level of 0.05 and t-test. The result of the study showed that there was an effect difference in (1) critical thinking skill and environmental attitudes of student which learning use STM and 5M model by controlling student’s prior knowledge (2) critical thinking skill before and after followed learning by STM model and 3) environmental attitudes before and after followed learning by STM model in alkanes derivatives of class XII students Senior High School 1 of Yogyakarta. Keyword: critical thinking skill, environmental attitudes, science technology society, and  student’s prior knowledge
