Abstract

The digital era has brought major changes in social interaction patterns, especially for Generation Z who rely heavily on social media platforms in their daily lives. As a group that grew up alongside technology, teenagers are often exposed to all kinds of content without proper filters The implementation of this community service program aims to introduce the impact and influence of social media at SMA Pasundan 1 Cimahi. The program focuses on educating about the influence of social media on Gen Z's mindset, how to filter information (anti-hoaxes), communication ethics in the digital world, and time management (screen time) to maintain focus and mental health. The implementation methods include preparation, material development, and socialization. The results show that the program was successfully carried out, with participants showing high enthusiasm. Participants were able to understand how to use social media and practice communication ethics online, thereby supporting the mindset of Gen Z.

Abstract

Rice farming plays a significant role in supporting food security and improving rural livelihoods in Indonesia. However, many farmers still rely on conventional threshing methods that are labor-intensive, time-consuming, and result in considerable post-harvest losses. This community service program aimed to improve the efficiency of post-harvest activities by introducing appropriate technology in the form of a rice threshing machine accompanied by technical guidance for its operation and maintenance. The program was conducted with a farmer group in Cibatu District, Garut Regency, West Java, using a participatory approach consisting of needs assessment, equipment handover, technical training, hands-on practice, and evaluation. The results demonstrated that participants successfully acquired the knowledge and practical skills required to operate and maintain the machine safely and effectively. The implementation of the rice threshing machine significantly reduced processing time, minimized grain losses, decreased labor requirements, and enhanced farmers' productivity during the post-harvest process. Furthermore, the technical guidance increased farmers' confidence in adopting appropriate agricultural technology to support sustainable farming practices. This community service activity highlights that the integration of appropriate technology and capacity-building initiatives can effectively strengthen farmers' capabilities, improve post-harvest efficiency, and contribute to increased agricultural productivity and rural community welfare.

Abstract

The development of graphic design in Indonesia is currently growing rapidly alongside the high industrial demand and educational interest. Introducing graphic design at an early age is crucial, as it can trigger children's creativity and interest through visual activities such as drawing. This study aims to introduce graphic design to elementary school students using Canva and Adobe Illustrator software. The method used is the delivery of material designed code-simplicity to be easily understood by children. Through this program, children are expected to understand the fundamentals of graphic design in an engaging and applicable manner.
