Abstract

This study uses observation, interviews, and documentation to explain how elementary school students learn Islamic beliefs. The research subjects consist of lower grade students and Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers at SD Pelangi. The findings show that simple habits, role models from parents and teachers, and repetition in daily activities are more effective in instilling beliefs. However, differences in children's characters and inconsistencies in the teaching of beliefs between home and school are major challenges. This study emphasizes the importance of cooperation between families and schools in strengthening the moral development of children from an early age.

Abstract

School religious activities play a vital role in shaping students’ morality from an early age. This research aims to analyze the influence of religious activities (such as collective prayer, congregational prayer, and religious studies) on the moral development of sixth-grade students at SD IT Al Hijrah 2. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through interviews and documentation with the class teacher as the main subject. The results indicate that religious activities have a significant impact on instilling values of discipline, responsibility, and respect. Teachers primarily employ the methods of exemplary behavior, habituation, and storytelling as key strategies for moral education. The main challenges encountered include students’ lack of consistency in applying moral values outside of school, the negative influence of gadgets and social media, and variations in parental support. It is concluded that religious activities serve as a moral fortress for students, but their effectiveness highly relies on the synergy between the school, teachers, and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to review various theories, factors, and learning strategies that affect the motivation of mathematics learning of elementary school students. The type of research used is a literature review by examining 10 accredited national journals (2020–2025) and 5 latest scientific books relevant to the topic of basic education and learning psychology. The analysis was carried out descriptively through three stages: data reduction, classification, and synthesis of findings. The results of the study showed that the motivation to learn mathematics of elementary school students was influenced by a combination of internal factors (interest, self-confidence), external (teacher strategies, interactive media), and social factors (learning environment support). Strategies such as Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), formative assessments, and the use of card-based interactive media have proven to be effective in increasing student engagement. In addition, motivational theories from Deci and Ryan (2017) and Uno (2021) affirm the importance of the role of intrinsic motivation in fostering a sustained interest in learning. This study recommends that elementary school teachers develop contextual, fun, and differential mathematics learning in order to increase students' confidence and motivation to learn optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between teacher motivation and student reading interest at the elementary school level. Low student reading interest remains a challenge in education, characterized by a lack of enthusiasm and independent reading habits. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. A literature review from various scientific journal sources was conducted. The results of the study indicate that teacher motivation plays a significant role in increasing students' interest in reading. Teachers who act as facilitators, motivators, and mentors are able to create a learning environment that supports a culture of literacy. The strategies implemented include providing reading corners, counseling on the importance of reading, and conducting literacy activities 15 minutes before class. These findings reinforce the importance of the active role of teachers in fostering reading interest through a fun and sustainable approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role and axiological values of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping the character of the digital generation with Islamic morality. The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the behavior and values of young people; therefore, religious education must play a strategic role in maintaining morality amid the currents of globalization. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students of Islamic senior high schools implementing digital-based learning. The findings reveal that the axiology of PAI serves as a foundation of values and ethics that guide the educational direction—not only toward cognitive achievement but also moral and spiritual formation. The implementation of Islamic axiological principles through innovative learning strategies and Islamic digital literacy has proven effective in strengthening students’ character in both virtual and real-life contexts. This study concludes that the integration between Islamic values and technology is essential for shaping a digital generation that is intelligent, ethical, and spiritually grounded.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of differentiated learning evaluation tailored to the needs, readiness, and characteristics of students. However, in its implementation in elementary schools, teachers still face various obstacles. This study aims to analyze the obstacles experienced by elementary school teachers in implementing differentiated learning evaluation based on the Merdeka Curriculum. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations of elementary school teachers. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns and main themes of obstacles that arose. The results show that the main obstacles faced by teachers include limited conceptual understanding of differentiated evaluation, difficulties in designing varied evaluation instruments, low technological literacy in implementing evaluation, as well as high administrative workload and lack of managerial support. These findings emphasize the need to strengthen teacher competencies through continuous training, improve technological literacy, and provide adequate institutional support so that the implementation of differentiated learning evaluation in the Merdeka Curriculum can run optimally in elementary schools.
