Abstract

Dagusibu is a drug handling step as an abbreviation of Get, Use, Save, and Dispose of. So as consumers, we must know how to get, use, store, and dispose of the medicines we have. Not all people know and understand how to handle this drug, so information about this is important to be disseminated to the public. A study in the RW 06 area of ​​Cakung Timur Sub-district showed that as many as 53.2% of respondents had less knowledge about Dagusibu antibiotic drugs (Miranti, 2019). The outreach activity aims to increase public knowledge about how to get and store good medicines in the residents of the Jade Cluster, East Bekasi, Bekasi City. Based on the results of community service activities in the residents of the Jade Cluster, East Bekasi, Bekasi City, it can be concluded that the counseling carried out was able to increase knowledge about how to obtain and store good medicines.

Abstract

The law on health has mandated nutrition improvement efforts to escalate nutritional quality of individuals and communities, including through improving food consumption patterns; improvements of nutrition conscious behavior, improving access and quality of nutrition services in accordance with scientific and technological progress. Community service is carried out at Putra Utama I Orphanage. Problems that occur 70% of children at the Orphanage have a lack of knowledge about healthy snacks. It also does not have its own canteen for children to buy snacks and there has never been counseling about healthy snacks. The purpose of community service activities is to increase the knowledge of Putra Utama I Orphanage Children’s. The method was counseling about healthy snacks and giving pretest and posttest questionnaires to know their knowledge about healthy snacks. The results obtained are an increase in the average knowledge score of the Orphanage children’s in pretest and posttest was 14.9043. It can be concluded that counseling at Orphanage children can increase knowledge about healthy snacks.

Abstract

Antibiotics are drugs used to kill bacteria so they are used to treat infections. Treatment with antibiotics must be on a doctor's prescription. The misuse of antibiotics can pose a dangerous risk of resistance. WHO has stated that deaths caused by antibiotic resistance reached 700,000 people in 2013. Education on the proper use of antibiotics aims to increase public awareness and understanding of how to use antibiotics correctly and appropriately. The implementation of this service in the form of counseling was carried out in Mantuil Village (Bromo Island) Banjarmasin City. The method used is through oral presentations delivered by pharmacists, questions and answers, and mini-quizzes. The results of this educational activity on the use of antibiotics have a positive influence on the entire community as evidenced by the community answering correctly on every given mini-quizes. The community is also active in asking questions about the use of antibiotics so that the community is considered enthusiastic in participating in the educational activity. It can be concluded that with this activity, the community becomes more aware of the proper and correct use of antibiotics.

Abstract

Supplements are one of the supporting nutrients that are popular with the public during this pandemic. One of these groups is vitamins. In the elderly, it is necessary to increase the consumption of several vitamins, such as vitamin C (200 mg – 2 g/day), vitamin E (134 – 800 mg/day), vitamin D (10 – 100 g/day). Increased consumption of vitamins needs to be balanced with public knowledge about the right way to consume vitamins, in order to obtain effective results on health. Errors in dosage or consumption time can cause health problems for consumers. This has prompted us to carry out outreach activities to the public regarding the right way to consume vitamins during the Covid-19 pandemic. Statistical tests show that there is an effect of providing counseling with increasing public knowledge about how to consume good vitamins. The highest increase in knowledge was in question number 3 regarding the benefits of sunbathing every morning, with an increase of 50%.

Abstract

Vocational education directs students to work in the industry with the skills they have in accordance with the abilities they take in the vocational education. Many problems have happened to students lately and another problem is the lack of adequate practice facilities. Various efforts and efforts must be made by schools to overcome this problem, among others, by fulfilling the necessary facilities through self-help and requests for assistance for facilities and teacher training to the central and regional governments. In the problems above, there are problems that occur in education, especially in SMK Unggulan Husada Banjarmasin, namely the management in the field of entrepreneurship which still needs refreshment to be able to implement the business that will be run from the skills possessed by students, especially the pharmacy department. So, there is a need for the dedication of lecturers who act as guest teachers. The learning method is known as a guest teacher or an outsider who is not a teacher giving lessons to students in order to overcome the backwardness of technology and learning facilities. The Resources Person (Guest Teacher) learning method is based on resource-based learning. Learning outcomes have increased after being given motivations and very enthusiastic during practical tutoring.

Abstract

Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSWT) Jombang is part of the East Java Provincial Social Service which provides social services for clients, namely neglected elderly (elderly) aged 60 (sixty) years and over, administration and community services. Health problems faced by the elderly in PSWT today include Rheumatic, Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus. The implementation of community service activities is carried out to provide health check services and free treatment to maintain the health of PSWT clients. The method in this activity is to do a physical examination of the client then given treatment and counseling. The target in the implementation of this community service is PSWT clients. The result of this activity is that it is known that the client has an increase in blood sugar levels, uric acid and high blood pressure. In addition, there are clients who have had a stroke. The complaints felt by the majority of clients are back pain, knees and dizziness. The conclusion of this activity is that clients at PSTW get free health checks and treatment equally.

Abstract

The first two cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia were confirmed for the first time on March 2, 2020. Transmission occurred very quickly, on December 3, 2020 there were 8,369 positive cases of COVID-19. A study shows that the rate of transmission from contact with 1 patient can infect 3 people around him and maybe more. In minimizing the spread of the virus, the Government has launched a Health Protocol that applies throughout Indonesia. The details in the Health protocol need to be socialized more regularly, such as what type of mask should be used, how to use a mask correctly, how to wash hands properly, what is the safe distance between humans in public spaces, and so on. So, we intend to hold educational activities about preventing the spread of COVID-19 and promoting health in implementing health protocols. Based on statistical tests, it is known that the significance value (sig) of the pretest and posttest data is 0.000, which means that the H1 hypothesis is accepted because sig < 0.005. Hypothesis H1 is accepted, which means that there is an effect of counseling in increasing knowledge of health protocols. The highest increase in respondents' knowledge is in the section on how to wash hands properly.

Abstract

LORANGI (Lotion Sereh Wangi) merupakan lotion dari tanaman sereh wangi yang dapat digunakan untuk pengendalian wabah Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD). Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman terkait PSN 3M Plus kepada masyarakat dan menghasilkan produk inovasi dari tanaman sereh untuk mengendalikan lonjakan kasus DBD di Desa Bentakan, Kecamatan Baki, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Metode pelaksanaannya melalui penyuluhan dan workshop di Kelurahan dengan media presentasi dan brosur. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini mendapatkan apresiasi yang tinggi dari masyarakat Desa Bentakan dan produk yang dihasilkan dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif usaha mandiri untuk ibu-ibu PKK. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh kriteria dan indikator keberhasilan kegiatan telah tercapai. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dari hasil postest peserta yang hampir 100% mengalami peningkatan nilai dalam memahami yang telah di sampaikan setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan ibu-ibu PKK di Desa Bentakan, Baki, Sukoharjo.

Abstract

Air pollution is a problem experienced by developing countries. This occurs especially in urban areas with high levels of urbanization and increased industrial activity and traffic. This community service was carried out at RT 06 RW 23 Permata Biru Complex, Cinunuk Village, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency. This housing complex has a fairly high population density, which increases other sectors such as industry and transportation, resulting in air pollution and reducing environmental quality. To overcome this problem, the Bhakti Kencana University Community Service team provides education and training in improving the immune system to prevent respiratory diseases by empowering Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). The methods used in implementing the service include socialization, education about ISPA and the Utilization of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), TOGA planting demonstrations and the creation of a Family Medicinal Plant garden. The result is an increase in residents' knowledge about ISPA and the use of family medicinal plants, as evidenced by the average test score from 75 to 96. Abstract

GeMa Cermat “DaGuSiBu” is a Ministry of Health program as an effort to increase awareness and change people's behavior towards correct drug use. The Drug Aware Family Movement (GKSO) launched by the Indonesian Pharmacists Association also uses the DaGuSiBu slogan to help and guide people in using medicines better. The "Ask Me Dagusibu" educational activity for the people of Girirejo Village, Kapanewon Imogiri, Bantul was carried out with the aim of providing knowledge about how to obtain, use, store and dispose of medicines correctly. The technical implementation of activities is carried out at one time, namely on September 17 2023. Evaluation of the effectiveness of activities is carried out by administering pretest and posttest questionnaires. A significant difference was obtained between participants' knowledge before and after giving the DaGuSiBu material which was indicated by a significance value of 0.001. The results of the activities showed that most of the participants in community service activities were dominated by female participants (76%). The majority of participants have an adult age range of 36-45 years (46%). High school education level (70%) and type of private employment (30%) were also the majority of characteristics of activity participants. The conclusion is that the majority of activity participants do not fully understand medicines, especially how to obtain, use, store and dispose of medicines correctly. Apart from that, activity participants were greatly helped by providing "ASK Me DaGuSiBu" education to increase knowledge and awareness of the importance of correct drug management.
