Historiography means the writing of history based on the critical examination of sources, the selection of particular details from the authentic materials in those sources, and the synthesis of those details into a narrative that stands the test of critical examination. Historiography studies cover chronologically various themes, such as local history, social history, cultural history, economic history, political history, military history, intellectual history, environmental history, and other historical studies. History of education is a study of the past that focuses on educational issues. These include education systems, institutions, theories, themes and other related phenomena in the past. History education includes studies of how history teaches in school or society, curriculum, educational values in events, figures, and historical heritage, media and sources of historical learning, history teachers, and studies of textbooks.

Abstract

The Indonesian War of Independence that occurred in the period 1946-1949 caused many war victims to become disabled. This research will discusses how the next struggle of the soldiers who became disabled as a result of the war of Indonesian Independence (1946-1983). This study aims to describe the formation and development of disabled organizations for Indonesian independence fighters in their efforts to continue to be useful to the country and to improve the lives of their members in the period 1946-1983. This study uses historical research methods with the stages of heuristic research, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study indicate that the establishment of a disabled organization for freedom fighters in 1946 in Malang under the name of the Indonesian Invaliden Association was motivated by efforts to empower and prosper the disabled victims of the war of independence and in its development until 1983 showed that this organization contributed to its members, namely getting welfare and providing opportunities for continue to be useful to the country.

Abstract

Indonesia as an independent country has aspirations of being independent, especially in the economic field. The steps taken include nationalizing various vital public buildings owned by foreigners with compensation payments. This study aims to analyze the path taken by the government to nationalize Dutch-owned companies. This study uses the historical method which consists of five steps: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of the study show that the nationalization of companies started from the period of the national movement leading to the concept of Indonesianization referring to Law Number 86 of 1958 concerning the Nationalization of Dutch- Owned Companies. The nationalized companies are engaged in agriculture and plantations, trade, industry and mining, banking, electricity and gas, transportation, and construction. The effects of nationalization were in the form of capital outflows, shaky balance sheets, and company administration. Companies that were nationalized in their journey turned into BUMN.

Abstract

Starting from a problem in the school environment related to the event held by the school regarding the youth oath event which was limited to celebrating it without interpreting the values of the youth oath in the activity. So that in this study, it has the aim of being able to determine the level of understanding of SMAN 18 Jakarta students in understanding the contents of the youth oath incident as a role in shaping character. This study uses the Mixed Methods method with the Sequential Explanatory model type. Then the data collection technique was by distributing questionnaires to students of SMAN 18 Jakarta as the research sample. The results show that the understanding of the role of youth oath values in shaping the character of students of SMAN 18 Jakarta understands the meaning of the content in the youth oath incident with a data percentage of 67.7% expressing understanding of the values contained in the youth oath. As a millennial generation, it should be able to implement an understanding of the values of the youth oath so as to increase the sense of nationalism in the millennial generation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the politics of Soekarno movement during his exile in Bengkulu in 1938-1948. The research method used in this research is historical research there are heuristic, source criticsm, interpretation and historiography. The results showed that the political movement of Soekarno during his exile in Bengkulu in 1938-1942, among others, Soekarno succeeded in instilling influence and spreading the idea of nationalism in various activities. In the Muhammadiyah organization, Soekarno succeeded in holding a conference throughout the Sumatran Muhammadiyah which was named the Daeratul Kubra Conference which had the aim in addition to improving the quality of education and teaching Soekarno also conveyed messages of nationalism, led and made theater texts which had the meaning of the conditions for struggle and nationalism understanding smart debate club as a forum for critical thinking of the people of Bengkulu, besides that Soekarno was also the pioneer and unifier of the Bengkulu people in the process of renovating the Jamik Bengkulu Mosque.

Abstract

Philosophy is a science that we often hear and is one of the most basic sciences in life. Philosophy is the art of asking questions in life. The question posed by philosophy is unique because the aim is not to get an answer but to be able to explore other questions from the problem being asked. Various philosophical thoughts, one of which is the Dialectical Philosophy which was initiated by Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. This study uses a historical method consisting of heuristic stages, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of the research show that the events of the Diponegoro War have relevance to Hegel's dialectical philosophy. This is reflected in the existence of thesis, synthesis and antithesis elements in the event. The interests of the Dutch led to royal resistance. The resistance is the people's response to inappropriate policies. This condition is called a thesis. This conflict also gave birth to a strategy of resistance tactics which was later called antithesis.

Abstract

Nahdlatul Ulama is one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia. This organization was born of course from the big figures who oversee it, one of them Mahbud Djunaidi. His political abilities are obtained from various organizational experiences and abilities in writing. The problem raised in this research is how the political history of Mahbub Djunaidi as a political activist of Nahdlatul Ulama in 1960-1987. Based on these problems, this study aims to describe the political journey of Mahbub Djunaidi (1960-1987). Based on the problems and objectives of the research, the method used is the historical method which consists of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography stages. The results of the study show that Mahbub Djunaidi has the concept of khittah plus. Political democracy in the style of Mahbub Djunaidi is the ideal of democracy which is fought for through political lines.

Abstract

Child protection institutions are the 'home' for every child's problems that should be protected by the state. Constitutionally, the strengthening of child protection is based on the Act on Child Protection in 2002. The problem in this research is how the initial process and dynamics faced by child protection institutions in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the birth and dynamics of child protection institutions in Indonesia (1997-2016). The method used is the historical method consisting of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study indicate that 1997 is considered a milestone for the birth of child protection institutions in Indonesia, namely the establishment of GNPA by Suharto. To fulfill legal legality, LPA was formed through the Ministry of Social Affairs. This institution changed its name to Komnas PA in 1999. Based on the 2002 Child Protection Act, the KPAI was formed. The name change of child protection institutions in Indonesia since 1997-2002 is one of the efforts to legalize child protection institutions. Various problems regarding children are one of the dynamics that characterize child protection institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Teaching materials are needed in the process of delivering knowledge in the classroom so that the learning objectives are achieved following the curriculum used. One of the teaching materials prepared for the high school students on Indonesian History subject is the Wall Chart. This research method is the development of teaching materials ranging from analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This teaching material is about the struggle against the threat of rebellion such as DI/TII in West Java. The rebellion was initiated by an activist named S. M. Kartosuwiryo who was an Islamization figure who wanted Indonesia to become the Islamic State of Indonesia. The ideological difference between the Islamic group and the nationalist group triggered the rebellion. Based on the study of interesting Wall Chart teaching materials, it is useful to help the learning process of students so that they can understand historical material easily.
