Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of knowledge management, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and innovation on the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, as well as to analyze the mediating roles of innovation and AI in strengthening SME performance. The study employed a quantitative approach using survey data collected from 200 SMEs across various industrial sectors in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the validity of the measurement model and examine the hypothesized relationships among variables. This study contributes to the literature by integrating knowledge management, AI adoption, and innovation within a unified framework to explain SME performance. It provides empirical evidence on the mediating roles of innovation and AI, highlighting their strategic importance in translating knowledge resources into superior organizational performance. The findings suggest that SME owners and managers should invest in structured knowledge management systems and AI-supported technologies to enhance decision-making, collaboration, and innovation capabilities. Policymakers are encouraged to support SMEs through training programs and technological infrastructure development to foster sustainable SME growth. This study is limited by its cross-sectional design and reliance on self-reported survey data, which may restrict causal interpretation. Future research is recommended to employ longitudinal designs, expand sample coverage, and incorporate additional contextual variables to deepen understanding of digital transformation and performance dynamics in SMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs) construct and disseminate narratives that shape entrepreneurial transitions among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Solo, Central Java, particularly in the context of digital transformation and ecosystem development. The research employs a qualitative multiple-case study approach, drawing on in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving MSME actors and two key ESOs. Data were analyzed using thematic and narrative analysis to capture patterns of identity construction, ecosystem orientation, and future-oriented sensemaking. This study contributes to the transitional entrepreneurship literature by foregrounding narratives as a central mechanism through which ESOs shape entrepreneurial identities, ecosystem positioning, and collective futures, extending ecosystem-based perspectives beyond instrumental support functions. Findings highlight the strategic role of ESOs in fostering digital literacy, collaboration, and inclusive ecosystem development, offering insights for policymakers and practitioners to design more narrative-sensitive and equity-oriented support programs. The study is limited to two ESOs within a single local context, suggesting opportunities for future research across diverse regions and broader ecosystem actors using comparative or discourse-based approaches.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of work arrangements and work–life experiences among online resellers in Sorong City, focusing on how flexible work practices shape the management of work and personal life in an informal digital economy context. A quantitative survey was conducted involving online resellers operating through social media platforms. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression to explore associations between work arrangement practices and work–life experiences. This study extends work–life balance and flexible work literature by providing empirical evidence from informal digital work in Eastern Indonesia, highlighting flexibility as both autonomy and responsibility. Findings inform policymakers and development programs to design digital entrepreneurship initiatives that integrate economic support with worker well-being considerations. The study is limited by its cross-sectional design and single-city focus. Future research should adopt longitudinal and comparative approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of credit restructuring as a strategy for handling non-performing loans at PT. BPR Christa Jaya Perdana, Kupang City, during the 2020–2024 period. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving management and staff directly responsible for credit restructuring. The results indicate that credit restructuring implemented through rescheduling, reconditioning, and restructuring mechanisms is effective in reducing the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio and improving debtors’ repayment capacity, particularly among micro, small, and medium enterprise borrowers. Theoretically, this study reinforces credit risk management theory and agency theory, which emphasize contract adjustment as a key instrument to mitigate default risk and reduce agency conflicts between creditors and debtors. The originality of this study lies in its empirical examination of credit restructuring practices in rural banks as regional financial institutions supporting local economic development. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of strengthening credit analysis, post-restructuring monitoring, and improving debtors’ financial literacy. From a policy perspective, this study provides insights for rural banks and regulators in formulating adaptive and sustainable credit restructuring policies. This study is limited to a single rural bank, thus the findings cannot be broadly generalized.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the roles of destination perceptions and tourist attitudes in shaping revisit intentions among Generation Z at Cave Crystall Tourist Attraction in Kupang City, Indonesia. In addition, it seeks to investigate how digital information influences the formation of destination perceptions and revisit decisions in a nature-based tourism context. The study employs a quantitative research approach using a survey method targeting Generation Z tourists who had previously visited Cave Crystall. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This study contributes to the tourism behavior literature by integrating digital information as an antecedent of destination perceptions and revisit intention within a Generation Z and nature-based tourism framework. The findings provide empirical evidence that digital information shapes destination perceptions and revisit intention, while tourist attitudes are more strongly influenced by direct destination experiences rather than digital exposure The findings offer practical insights for destination managers and policymakers to strengthen destination image management and enhance on-site tourism experiences to encourage repeat visits among Generation Z. Strategic use of digital platforms should focus on reinforcing positive destination perceptions, while experiential quality remains critical in shaping favorable tourist attitudes in nature-based tourism destinations. This study is limited to a single nature-based tourism destination and focuses exclusively on Generation Z visitors, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. Future research is encouraged to examine different generational cohorts, expand to multiple destinations, and incorporate additional behavioral or experiential variables to further enrich the understanding of revisit intention in digital-era tourism.
