Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic financial literacy, access to Islamic financing, and entrepreneurial motivation on Family Economic Resilience in Luwu Raya with social support as a moderating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected through a questionnaire distributed to single parents who are micro and small business owners in Luwu Raya. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of the SmartPLS 4 software to test both direct effects and moderating effects among the variables. The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurial motivation has a positive and significant effect on family economic resilience, whereas Islamic financial literacy and access to Islamic microfinance do not show a significant effect. Social support also does not show a significant moderating effect. These findings suggest that individual internal factors play a more dominant role than external factors in strengthening family economic resilience. This study highlights the importance of strengthening entrepreneurial motivation in supporting family economic resilience among single mothers who are micro-entrepreneurs. This study expands the body of research on Family Economic Resilience by examining the relationship between Islamic financial literacy, access to Islamic microfinance, entrepreneurial motivation, and social support in the context of single mothers who are microentrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study explores the role of the keputrian program in supporting the formation of Muslim female identity among elementary school girls experiencing early puberty in Muhammadiyah schools in Yogyakarta. The study responds to the increasing occurrence of early puberty and menarche among primary school girls, which often occurs before sufficient emotional, social, and religious readiness has developed. A qualitative case study was conducted in three Muhammadiyah elementary schools in Yogyakarta from July to October 2025. Data were collected through interviews, participatory observations, and documentation involving 18 female students who had experienced early puberty and 6 female teachers serving as keputrian facilitators. The data were analyzed thematically through coding, categorization, and triangulation. The findings show that early puberty was experienced not only as a biological transition marked by menstruation but also as an emotional and religious transition characterized by fear, embarrassment, confusion, and uncertainty regarding bodily changes and religious responsibilities after baligh. The keputrian program provided a supportive environment where students received guidance on menstruation, purification (taharah), aurat, personal hygiene, worship practices, and appropriate social behavior. Participation in the program contributed to greater emotional confidence, improved understanding of bodily changes, increased readiness to perform religious obligations, and stronger awareness of Islamic values associated with Muslim womanhood. The findings further indicate that emotionally supportive female teachers played a central role in helping students interpret puberty as a meaningful stage of religious and personal development. The study is limited to three Muhammadiyah elementary schools and reflects context-specific experiences. This study highlights the keputrian program as a school-based Islamic puberty education model that integrates bodily literacy, emotional mentoring, worship readiness, and Muslim female identity formation, thereby extending discussions on Islamic education and early puberty in elementary school settings.

Abstract

This research aims to examine how local sharia service businesses construct and practice accountability beyond merely using Islamic branding. Many local economies have adopted Islamic branding for their service businesses, yet a gap often remains between their claims and operational practices. Islamic branding should not function only as a market-oriented label but should substantively integrate Islamic values into daily operations. This qualitative study employs an ethnomethodological approach. The analysis focuses on three core concepts: indexicality, reflexivity, and common-sense knowledge. Data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with owners and staff of a Sharia laundry, a Sharia travel agency, and a sharia guest house in Malang, Indonesia. The indexicality of Sharia laundry is the purification of clothes at the end of the washing process (thaharah). Sharia travel is collaborating with halal-certified restaurants and Sharia guest houses. Sharia guest houses ensures that guests are mahram and collaborate with sharia laundries. Reflexivity among all respondents indicates that the operational practices of these three businesses reflect a commitment to Sharia principles. Common-sense knowledge such as the local understanding that purification is using running water, halal sign on a restaurant guarantess safety, and staying overnight together with someone who is not mahram is forbidden The synergy between Islamic branding and local economic practices can help build public trust and support the sustainability of Sharia businesses. However, this study is limited because it does not include formal compliance confirmation from the DSN-MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council). Findings are also context‑specific and not generalizable. This study offers originality by applying ethnomethodology to examine accountability in Sharia service businesses within the local economy, a topic rarely explored in halal industry research. It demonstrates that sharia accountability is socially constructed rather than through formal certification alone.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Baamboozle, a gamification-based learning platform, in improving students’ learning achievement in Aqidah Akhlak, particularly on the topics of honesty and responsibility. The study employed Classroom Action Research based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, involving planning, action, observation, and reflection stages conducted over two cycles. The participants were 28 seventh-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Yaqin, Indonesia. Data were collected through classroom observations, learning achievement tests, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings showed a consistent improvement in students’ learning achievement after the implementation of Baamboozle. The mean score increased from 65 in the pre-cycle stage to 74 in Cycle I and 86 in Cycle II. The learning mastery rate also improved from 40% to 68% and finally reached 89%. Classroom observations further indicated that students became more active, engaged, collaborative, and willing to participate in discussions and learning activities. These results suggest that Baamboozle-assisted gamification created a more interactive and student-centered learning environment. The study implies that gamification can be an effective pedagogical strategy for improving learning achievement and classroom engagement in Aqidah Akhlak instruction. It also highlights that successful digital gamification requires careful instructional planning, clear guidance, and effective classroom management. This study contributes to the limited empirical literature on gamification in Islamic education by examining Baamboozle in Aqidah Akhlak instruction within a Madrasah Tsanawiyah context. Unlike studies focusing mainly on motivation, perception, or technology acceptance, this study provides classroom-based evidence of improved measurable achievement, participation, and engagement in Islamic moral education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of understanding of religious values, the level of psychological resilience, and the relationship between the understanding of religious values and psychological resilience among students in the Islamic Education (PAI) Study Program at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. This study was conducted because religious understanding is viewed as one of the key factors that can help students cope with academic pressure and various life challenges in a more adaptive manner. This study employs a quantitative approach using a correlation method. The research sample consisted of 76 sixth-semester students in the PAI program, selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire designed based on Glock and Stark’s dimensions of religiosity and Connor and Davidson’s aspects of resilience. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s Rho correlation test because the data were not normally distributed. The results of the study indicate that students’ level of understanding of religious values falls into the high category at 88.46%, while their level of psychological resilience falls into the high category at 76.92%. The correlation test results showed a positive and significant relationship between understanding of religious values and psychological resilience (r = 0.793; p < 0.001 < 0.05). These findings suggest that the higher students’ understanding of religious values, the higher their psychological resilience. The findings of this study reinforce the importance of internalizing religious values in supporting students’ psychological resilience. However, this study is limited to students in the Islamic Education Program at a single university; therefore, the results cannot yet be generalized to a broader population. This study provides empirical evidence regarding the relationship between the understanding of religious values and psychological resilience among PAI students, and reinforces research on the role of religiosity as a psychological resource in coping with academic pressures and daily life.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers’ innovations in developing Islamic Religious Education teaching materials through interactive digital media at SMP Negeri 16 Tebo Regency, identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and describe the perceived impact on the Islamic Religious Education learning process. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 16 in Tebo Regency, involving one Islamic Religious Education teacher and five ninth-grade students as informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding, while data validity was strengthened through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that the teacher implemented instructional innovations by utilizing interactive digital media based on Canva, presented in the form of PowerPoint presentations that integrated text, images, animations, audio, and interactive visual elements. Supporting factors for these innovations included the teacher’s technological proficiency, school support, and student enthusiasm. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited facilities and infrastructure, unstable internet access, and limited learning devices. The findings also indicate that teachers and students view the use of interactive digital media as helping to increase student interest in learning, encouraging more active participation, and facilitating the understanding of Islamic Religious Education material. This study indicates that interactive digital media can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to support the Islamic Religious Education learning process. However, since the study was conducted at a single school with a limited number of informants, the results are not intended to be generalized to a broader context. The originality of this study lies in its examination of teachers’ innovations in developing Islamic Religious Education teaching materials using Canva at a school with limited technological facilities. This study provides an empirical contribution regarding the practice of utilizing interactive digital media in Islamic Religious Education at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This study systematically synthesizes existing literature to explain how social media-driven social influence shapes consumer boycott intention, what factors contribute to the intention–behavior gap between boycott intention and actual participation, and how Islamic ethical values explain consumer participation in social media-driven boycott movements in Indonesia. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA framework to identify, screen, and select relevant studies. Twenty-eight articles published between 2018 and 2026 met the predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic synthesis to identify recurring themes, compare findings across studies, and develop an integrated understanding of consumer boycott movements. Social media consistently strengthens consumer boycott intention by accelerating information dissemination, reinforcing collective awareness, and amplifying social influence. However, stronger boycott intention does not necessarily translate into actual boycott participation because consumer behavior is simultaneously shaped by psychological, contextual, and practical factors, including moral reasoning, perceived boycott effectiveness, product availability, and brand attachment. The synthesis also indicates that Islamic ethical values, reflected in religiosity, humanitarian solidarity, and principles of justice, provide an important framework for explaining consumer participation and sustained commitment to boycott movements among Indonesian Muslim consumers. Integrating digital social influence, the intention–behavior gap, and Islamic ethical values provides a more comprehensive understanding of consumer boycott behavior in digital environments. The findings may support future research on ethical consumption while offering insights for policymakers and businesses in responding to consumer activism surrounding socio-political issues. This review contributes by synthesizing evidence across studies into three interconnected themes social media-driven social influence, the intention–behavior gap, and Islamic ethical values thereby providing a more comprehensive understanding of consumer boycott movements in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores how Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is integrated into Islamic Education to support akhlak formation among elementary school students in the Society 5.0 era. It also examines how SEL competencies are reflected in Islamic Education practices and how they appear to support students' socio-emotional and moral development. This study employed a qualitative descriptive design within a constructivist paradigm. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with three Islamic Education teachers and three fourth-grade students, as well as document analysis of teachers' lesson plans (RPP), at SD Yasporbi III. Participants were selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis through coding, categorization, interpretation, and triangulation. The findings indicate that SEL-related practices were integrated into Islamic Education through religious habituation, reflective activities, emotional guidance, dialogue, restorative approaches, and collaborative learning. These practices appeared to support the development of socio-emotional competencies, including emotional regulation, empathy, self-awareness, and responsible decision-making, which participants perceived to be associated with students' akhlak development. The findings also suggest that the Society 5.0 era presents challenges to akhlak formation through increased digital media exposure, online interactions, and technological distractions, highlighting the importance of strengthening students' self-regulation and digital responsibility. Furthermore, the study identified initial conceptual components of an SEL-integrated Islamic Education framework that combines cognitive, spiritual, emotional, and social dimensions of learning. This study contributes to the discourse on integrative Islamic Education by demonstrating how selected SEL competencies can be contextualized within Islamic moral and spiritual values, particularly through practices that foster self-awareness (muhasabah), self-regulation (sabr), empathy (rahmah), and responsible decision-making (amanah). Unlike previous studies that have primarily examined SEL from secular educational perspectives or discussed Islamic moral education separately, this study offers a contextual perspective on integrating SEL with Islamic values to support akhlak formation in elementary Islamic Education. Rather than proposing a validated instructional model, the study identifies initial conceptual components that may inform future research on SEL-integrated Islamic Education in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically map the development of halal food research in Indonesia, identify publication trends, thematic structures, and emerging technological topics, and provide directions for future research. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 197 Scopus-indexed publications published between 2015 and 2026. Data were retrieved using a comprehensive search query covering halal food, halal certification, halal supply chain, traceability, authentication, and related topics. Following the PRISMA 2020 screening procedure, the selected publications were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer 1.6.20 through publication trend analysis, keyword co-occurrence mapping, clustering, overlay visualization, and density visualization. The results reveal a substantial increase in publication output during the study period, reflecting growing academic interest in halal food issues in Indonesia. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identified five thematic clusters covering halal governance and certification, consumer trust and religiosity, halal supply chain management, blockchain-enabled traceability, food safety, and halal authentication technologies. Overlay visualization indicates a gradual shift from conventional certification- and consumer-oriented studies toward technology-driven themes such as blockchain, traceability, Internet of Things, and digital halal assurance systems. Density visualization further shows that halal certification and halal supply chain remain dominant research themes, while authentication technologies such as real-time PCR, FTIR, chemometrics, and GC–MS represent emerging areas of investigation. The study relies exclusively on the Scopus database and therefore may not capture relevant publications indexed in other databases. Nevertheless, the findings provide a comprehensive overview of the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and emerging directions of halal food research in Indonesia. This study offers an updated bibliometric mapping of halal food research in Indonesia for the 2015–2026 period and highlights the growing importance of halal governance, digital traceability, and scientific authentication technologies in strengthening halal assurance systems and supply chain integrity

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parents in reducing gadget dependence among early childhood students through the instillation of Islamic educational values at Kartika Kindergarten, Rawa Jaya Village, South Tabir Subdistrict, Merangin Regency. Specifically, this study examines how parenting practices based on Islamic values are applied in a local context to limit gadget use among early childhood students. This study employs a qualitative approach using field research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from informants consisting of the principal, teachers, parents, and children at Kartika Kindergarten. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was tested using source triangulation and methodological triangulation. The results of the study indicate that parents fulfill the roles of educators, mentors, supervisors, and role models in regulating their children’s gadget use. The most notable finding indicates that restrictions on gadget use are more effective when combined with fostering religious practices, setting a good example, intensive communication between parents and children, and redirecting children’s time toward religious activities, play, and learning that involve collaboration between families and the school. These practices constitute the primary characteristics of the implementation of Islamic educational values at Kartika Kindergarten. The research findings suggest that instilling Islamic educational values through active parental involvement can be a relevant strategy in supporting the regulation of gadget use among young children. However, this study did not quantitatively test the effectiveness of these strategies. Additionally, the research was conducted at only one educational institution, so the results cannot yet be generalized to a broader context. This study contributes by demonstrating how the integration of parental roles and Islamic educational values is applied contextually in early childhood education in a rural setting. The study shows that collaboration between families and schools is a key factor in fostering more purposeful gadget-use habits while simultaneously strengthening the development of children’s religious character.
