Abstract

In today's digital era, businesses face increasingly complex challenges. To achieve business excellence, organizations need to build integrated and efficient systems. Enterprise architecture (EA) is a comprehensive approach to designing and managing information technology and business structures in organizations. This journal aims to investigate the importance of building an integrated and efficient EA in achieving business excellence. We use a research methodology approach to analyze case studies and results related to EA implementation in several organizations. Our findings show that an integrated and efficient EA can provide benefits such as improved operational efficiency, cost savings, increased flexibility, and better decision-making. In this journal, we describe the methods used in building EAs, the results of EA implementation in organizations, and a discussion of the implications and resulting benefits. We conclude that building an integrated and efficient EA is an important step for organizations that want to achieve business excellence. An integrated and efficient EA in achieving business excellence. An integrated EA involves a comprehensive planning and design process, integration of systems and applications, effective data and information management, and necessary organizational changes. An integrated and efficient EA implementation can provide a number of benefits to an organization, including improved operational efficiency, reduced costs, increased visibility and accessibility of information, and better decision-making. However, the challenges and complexities associated with EA implementation need to be addressed through a holistic approach, stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and proactive change management.

Abstract

J&T Express Indonesia is present as a shipping service company in the form of documents and packaging / goods. By relying on the IT system in their services, they get a lot of benefits from the service and the quality of the goods/goods. In this research method using the type of research is descriptive research with data collection methods in the form of interviews and interview techniques conducted by researchers to respondents who use J&T Express services to obtain information about enterprise architecture in the J&T Express company. The technique used in collecting data is by conducting interviews with respondents who use J&T Express services and also making observations at the J&T Express company. The next step is to design Enterprise Architecture using the Zachman Framework method. The results showed that the 4 frameworks in the Zachman Framework, namely scope, business model, system model, and technology model can improve the performance and efficiency of the company in planning, implementing, and maintaining information systems used in company operations.

Abstract

The development of information technology and increasingly fierce competition in business life requires companies to have a strong and efficient information architecture to optimize their business. The framework that can be used to develop information architecture is the Zachman Framework. The purpose of this research is to examine the implementation of the Zachman Framework in the context of developing information architecture at Shopee. The results showed that the Zachman Framework provides a comprehensive framework for the development of Shopee's information architecture. Elements of the Zachman Framework such as perspectives (who, what, when, where, why, how), objects (data, activities, networks, people, time, motivation), and usage can be used to describe and organize various aspects of an enterprise's information architecture. The implementation of the Zachman Framework helps Shopee design, analyze, and design information systems that suit the company's business needs and strategies.

Abstract

Information technology is developing quite rapidly and has a significant impact in various aspects of business, including in the pharmaceutical industry. This research aims to design enterprise architecture at Apotek Kimia Farma. The method used in this research is TOGAF ADM (The Open Group Architecture Framework Architecture Development Method), which consists of several phases, namely preliminary phase, architecture vision, business architecture, information system architecture, technology architecture, opportunities and solutions, and migration planning. This research will produce a blueprint of enterprise architecture design that is in accordance with the needs and objectives of the Apotek Kimia Farma. This blueprint includes structured guidance on architecture components such as business architecture, information system architecture, and technology architecture. By having this blueprint, Apotek Kimia Farma can have clear guidelines in optimizing the use of information technology, increasing operational efficiency, and strengthening its competitive advantage in the pharmaceutical industry. The results of this research are expected to provide significant benefits to Apotek Kimia Farma and the pharmaceutical industry in general. A structured and integrated enterprise architecture design will help Apotek Kimia Farma in facing technological challenges and increasingly fierce competition.

Abstract

Jewelry Company is a company that produces jewelry by providing the best quality to its consumers. In its development, the jewelry company has a factory that produces various types of jewelry including gold, silver, ruby, gems, topaz and sapphire. However, IS/IT planning within the company is still not maximizing the use of IS/IT that should be implemented within a company. Therefore, this company needs a more strategic planning to support business goals that are in line with business strategy and IS/IT strategy. Enterprise Architecture Planning was chosen as a guide and the Zachman Framework as a design method which consists of six lines, namely scope, enterprise model, system model, technology constrained model, retailed representations, and functioning enterprise, as well as six columns consisting of what, how, where, who, when, and why. The results of this research are a proposed architectural design that is recommended to companies, which is expected to fully support ongoing business activities so that they are more optimal and effective.

Abstract

Telecommunications company PT. Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (INTI) has several main business lines, such as manufacturing and assembly, management services, digital services, and system integrators. The system integrator requires assistance from all business divisions to support its business activities, one of which is to assist the information technology function, which is responsible for information technology services. However, there are several obstacles that arise in the implementation of the information technology function, including data exchange that has not used the system optimally; lack of manpower; business process flow that is still less effective; and one business process that is still less effective and has not been supported by existing applications. The existing applications are not integrated. Thus, the right solution and in accordance with the needs must be generated through an enterprise architecture that can integrate information technology strategy with business strategy. TOGAF ADM is used to design enterprise architecture, which includes preliminary, architecture, and implementation phases.
