Abstract

This study aims to analyze the bioecology of the Tamanu plant (Calophyllum inophyllum) on Kuranji Beach, West Lombok Regency. The method used was direct observation by measuring soil temperature, soil pH, and soil moisture in the plant's habitat. The results showed that the soil temperature was 35°C, soil pH 6.7, and soil moisture 1.8, indicating dry conditions. These conditions reflect the characteristics of coastal environments with high temperatures and low water availability. Soil temperature plays a role in plant metabolic activity, soil pH affects nutrient availability, while soil moisture is the main limiting factor in growth. Nevertheless, nyamplung is able to adapt well to these conditions so it can still grow in coastal environments.

Abstract

Plant collection and preservation are essential steps in botanical studies to support species identification and biodiversity documentation. This study aims to describe the techniques of collecting and preserving teak (Tectona grandis) in Turida Village, Sandubaya District, Mataram City. The method used was a field survey with direct sampling of representative vegetative parts. Preservation was carried out using herbarium techniques, including pressing, drying, and labeling the specimens. The results indicate that proper collection techniques greatly influence specimen quality, particularly in maintaining key morphological characteristics for accurate identification. In addition, appropriate preservation methods enhance specimen durability for long-term use. Therefore, the application of systematic collection and preservation techniques contributes to botanical research and supports sustainable biodiversity conservation efforts.

Abstract

Bioecological research on jamplong plants in coastal areas is important for understanding the relationship between organisms and their abiotic and biotic environments. Jamplong is a coastal species that can adapt well to extreme environmental conditions such as high salinity, strong winds, and sandy soils. In conducting research, bioethical aspects are an important foundation to ensure that scientific activities do not damage the ecosystem. This study aims to examine the bioecological condition of jamplong plants while also evaluating the application of bioethical principles at Kuranji Beach, West Lombok Regency. The methods used include a literature study and field observations to obtain direct data. The results show that the population of jamplong plants remains abundant with a relatively even distribution in coastal areas, and no violations of bioethical principles were found during the research. This study confirms that bioecological research can be conducted sustainably while still adhering to bioethical principles in order to maintain the balance of coastal ecosystems.

Abstract

Coastal ecosystems consist of lively habitats marked by elevated temperatures, salinity levels, significant wind exposure, and minimal soil moisture, all of which affect the growth and spread of plant species. The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) stands out as a prevalent species in tropical coastal regions owing to its exceptional ability to adapt. The objective of this research is to assess the bioecological traits of coconut trees located at Kuranji Beach, in the West Lombok Regency, through direct environmental observations. The study utilized a descriptive observational approach, focusing on measurements of soil temperature, soil acidity, and moisture levels in the soil. Findings revealed that the soil temperature was at 35°C, soil pH measured between 7 and 7.5 (indicating neutrality to slight alkalinity), while soil moisture was identified as low (indicating dry conditions). These results suggest that the coastal habitat imposes challenges for plant development; nonetheless, coconut trees show significant adaptation capabilities through both structural and functional responses. This research highlights the crucial ecological role that coconut vegetation plays in sustaining coastal durability and resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze patterns of antidiabetic drug use by utilizing the medical records of National Health Insurance (JKN) outpatients at Mataram City General Hospital in 2023. Medical records, as dynamic archives, play a crucial role in providing authentic data for the evaluation of healthcare services. The research method employed was descriptive, using a retrospective approach based on the analysis of archival documents. Data were obtained from prescription records and medical records of patients with diabetes mellitus. The results indicate that the predominant therapy is a combination of oral antidiabetic drugs with metformin as the primary treatment. The use of medical record archives enables the systematic and accurate identification of treatment patterns. However, variations in medication use were still observed, indicating the need for more standardized record management to support clinical decision-making. This study confirms that proper management of medical records contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by metabolic disorders of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins due to insulin deficiency or resistance. The increasing prevalence of diabetes in Indonesia requires rational drug use, especially among National Health Insurance (JKN) patients. This study aims to determine the pattern of antidiabetic drug use in outpatients at Mataram City Regional General Hospital in 2023. This research used a descriptive method with a retrospective approach based on prescription data of JKN patients. The results showed that the most commonly used therapy was a combination of oral antidiabetic drugs, with metformin as the primary treatment. The use of combination therapy indicates efforts to optimize glycemic control. However, variations in drug use were still found, which may affect treatment effectiveness. In conclusion, the pattern of antidiabetic drug use among JKN outpatients in 2023 tends toward rational therapy but still requires continuous evaluation to improve healthcare quality.

Abstract

Records management is an important aspect in the hospital administration system. This is because there are many files that should be stored and can be recovered so that the patient's track record can be systematically traced and the personnel files can be stored properly. The goal to be achieved in this research is an analysis of archive management services at the Mataram Regional General Hospital (RSUD) and what factors influence it. The research method uses a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The results of the study show that archive management procedures at Merauke Hospital have not been running well. This is because the archive storage system does not meet the standards, namely the incorporation of the archive room with the service room and the application of the archive cycle in the Administrative Office of Mataram Hospital has not been understood by employees. In addition, there are still many archives that accumulate due to the insufficient manber of filing cabinets. In the archive storage stage, a standard storage system has been used, namely using an alphabetical system, date, month, year and subject and region. Thus, the suggestions that can be given are to make an archive storage so that if needed it can be found again, add facilities and infrastructure in the archive field at the Mataram Hospital Administration office such as adding a filing cabinet, making your own archive room, doing regular archive shrinkage, and maintenance archives should be improved again by making a routine schedule for administrative staff employees.
