Abstract

Management of Incoming and Outgoing Correspondence: Work Effectiveness in the Administrative Affairs Department at Mataram Hospital The research method used was qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and literature review, with a purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted in March and April 2023 with a sample size of 4 out of 717 administrative staff members. The study found that the administrative affairs department had processed 217 incoming letters and 461 outgoing letters. This research identified several issues in the management of incoming and outgoing letters, including a lack of adequate equipment and supplies, as well as challenges related to staff work efficiency and human resources. Based on the identified issues, the author offers the following recommendations: the addition of equipment and supplies to optimize the management and archiving of correspondence; processing correspondence on a regular basis to prevent backlogs, given that manual processing is prone to delays; and the addition of staff—specifically a head of administrative affairs (a role currently handled by the head of general administration) and an archivist capable of effectively managing correspondence archives effectively to ensure more efficient management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of archivists in supporting hospital administrative systems within the modern digital era, specifically focusing on the quality of archives and its influence on operational efficiency. As healthcare institutions transition to electronic medical records, the archivist's function has expanded to include information governance. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review, this research identifies that high-quality archives defined by accuracy, accessibility, and integrity significantly improve administrative response times and clinical decision-making. The study concludes that professional archivists are crucial in ensuring data quality, which directly impacts the overall quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Laboratory data archives play an important role in supporting scientific research, particularly in ensuring data validity and reproducibility. This study aims to analyze the antibacterial potential of pineapple (Ananas comosus) extract against Staphylococcus aureus based on laboratory data documentation. This research employed an experimental method with a disc diffusion technique, supported by archival analysis of laboratory records. The results showed that pineapple extract exhibited antibacterial activity, indicated by the formation of inhibition zones at all concentrations tested. Higher concentrations produced larger inhibition zones, demonstrating a dose-dependent effect. From an archival perspective, proper documentation of laboratory data enables systematic analysis and supports scientific accountability. This study highlights the importance of laboratory archives in strengthening research quality and data reliability.

Abstract

Dandruff Is A Common Scalp Disorder That May Be Associated With Microbial Growth, Including Staphylococcus Aureus. The Use Of Natural Products As Alternative Treatments Has Gained Increasing Attention, One Of Which Is Pineapple (Ananas Comosus), Which Contains Active Compounds Such As Bromelain, Flavonoids, And Organic Acids With Potential Antibacterial Properties. This Study Aimed To Evaluate The Antibacterial Potential Of Pineapple Fruit Extract In Inhibiting The Growth Of Staphylococcus Aureus. This Research Employed A Laboratory Experimental Design Using The Disc Diffusion Method. Pineapple Extract Was Prepared In Various Concentrations And Tested Against Staphylococcus Aureus. The Results Showed That Pineapple Extract Exhibited Inhibitory Activity Against Bacterial Growth, Indicated By The Formation Of Inhibition Zones Around The Discs. Higher Concentrations Resulted In Larger Inhibition Zones. Therefore, Pineapple Fruit Extract Has Potential As A Natural Antibacterial Agent Against Staphylococcus Aureus.

Abstract

An organization requires systematic and organized records management. Records are kept to inform decision-making and policy formulation, because without information, it would be impossible for the organization to carry out its administrative activities properly and effectively. The researcher’s objective is to enhance the quality of discipline expected of workplace employees, foster honesty, creativity, perseverance, and responsibility, provide experience and socialization in the professional world, broaden perspectives, generate ideas and inspiration, and promote authenticity. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive, defined as a research procedure that generates descriptive data in the form of written words or statements from individuals observed during activities related to the research theme—in this case, the Implementation of the Records Management System in the Administrative Section of Wijaya Kusuma Hospital. The research findings reveal that the records management system used in the Administrative Subdivision of Wijaya Kusuma Hospital is a one-stop system, meaning all incoming correspondence is handled by a single unit, namely the Administrative Subdivision. For records storage in the Administrative Subdivision of Wijaya Kusuma Hospital, a classification code and index (subject matter) are utilized.

Abstract

Puskesmas Lendang Nangka has transitioned to a digital system using the e-Puskesmas application to manage archives, replacing the previous manual system. This research aims to analyze the human resource needs for managing archives in the digital era. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews and observations. The results show that the medical record system and outgoing letters (such as Health/Sick Certificates, Birth Certificates, etc.) are already integrated in e-Puskesmas, but there is still a shortage of specialized staff. Currently, only 4 medical officers also handle archives. This system is less effective for long-term digital data management. The research suggests adding archivist staff or administrative heads who understand digital technology to ensure data security and quality of health administration services.

Abstract

Prescription archives play an essential role in supporting healthcare evaluation, particularly in analyzing drug utilization patterns. This study aims to evaluate the comparison between generic and branded antihypertensive drug prescriptions based on prescription archive data of inpatients at Siti Hajar Islamic Hospital Mataram in 2023. The research employed a descriptive method with a retrospective approach using archival document analysis. The results showed that generic drug prescriptions were more dominant than branded drugs, reflecting the implementation of cost-efficiency policies and rational drug use within the National Health Insurance system. However, branded drugs were still prescribed in certain clinical conditions. From an archival perspective, well-managed prescription records enable accurate, systematic, and accountable analysis of drug utilization patterns. This study highlights the importance of archival management in improving healthcare service quality and decision-making processes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of archival training on improving the performance of administrative staff in Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) using the library research method. The main focus of this research is to evaluate how human resource competency development can address increasingly complex document management challenges, especially with the transition to the e-Puskesmas digital system. Secondary data were obtained from reputable scientific journal articles published within the last ten years. The analysis results from various literatures indicate a positive and significant correlation between the implementation of archival training and employee work productivity. Structured training has proven effective in transforming manual work patterns into more systematic ones, thereby minimizing data input errors and accelerating the retrieval time of medical information. These findings emphasize that the success of digital transformation at the Pagesangan Health Center does not only rely on technological sophistication but is heavily determined by the technical readiness of its employees. Although electronic systems can overcome physical storage space limitations, operational effectiveness still demands the ability of staff to manage databases accurately. Therefore, the synergy between modern technology and sustainable archival training is an absolute solution to ensure administrative order and professional health service quality. This research recommends the necessity of continuous human resource competency development policies for health administrative personnel.

Abstract

The organisational structure of a hospital is a framework that governs the division of tasks, authority and responsibilities in order to provide effective and efficient healthcare services. This article aims to examine the concepts, functions, and forms of organisational structures implemented in hospitals. The method used is a literature review, involving the collection of various sources related to hospital management. The findings indicate that hospital organisational structures generally consist of top management (the director), medical service units, nursing, medical support, and administrative and financial departments. Each department plays a vital role in supporting the smooth running of operations and improving the quality of healthcare services. Furthermore, a clear organisational structure can enhance coordination, communication, and more effective decision-making. In conclusion, the implementation of an appropriate organisational structure significantly influences a hospital’s performance in delivering high-quality services to the public.
