Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine whether implementing an active knowledge sharing strategy can improve students' learning activities in Islamic religious lessons at SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. This research method uses descriptive techniques. Data collection methods include documentation, interviews, and observations. Data analysis was carried out using a non-statistical approach in which data were analyzed in the form of collected interviews, observation notes, and document results. The results of the study concluded that the active knowledge sharing strategy can improve student activity. This strategy will always use opinions and answers from others. However, teachers do not routinely use the use of active knowledge exchange because they rely on the material presented. So, a more optimal application is needed to improve learning activities for students in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The active knowledge sharing strategy in Islamic Religious Education learning can also improve learning effectiveness by optimizing student participation, building mutual respect and empathy, and promoting a deeper understanding of the learning material.

Abstract

This This research is based on parenting patterns towards children. This parenting pattern consists of various habits of parents in nurturing, guiding, and leading children in a family environment. However, in contrast to these parenting patterns, in toxic parenting, parents tend to treat children badly. This study aims to analyze the impact of toxic parenting on the mental health of high school students. Toxic parenting has been shown to have a significant impact on children's mental health, including chronic stress, depression and anxiety. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach by conducting observations and in-depth interviews with five randomly selected high school students. The results of the analysis show that this parenting pattern inhibits children's emotional, social, and self-confidence development. Observations of the students' behavior also corroborated these findings, showing signs of emotional instability and limited social interaction. This study emphasizes the importance of effective family communication to minimize the negative impact of toxic parenting and establish a more emotionally and mentally healthy upbringing.

Abstract

The development of modern educational infrastructure in Indonesia faces challenges in integrating technological advances with social responsibility. This research explores the principles of Q.S Al-Rahman verse 33 as an ethical and spiritual foundation in the development of sustainable and equitable educational infrastructure. The verse emphasizes the importance of a balance between human ability to break through the boundaries (through technology) and moral responsibility in its use. This article answers the question: How can the principles of Q.S Al-Rahman 33 be a guide in the development of modern educational infrastructure in Indonesia? This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach and thematic interpretation. Data was collected through a study of Qur'an interpretation, educational literature, government policies, and case studies on the application of technology in education. The research sample includes academic documents, reports of educational institutions, and the views of contemporary scholars on science and technology in Islam. The findings of the study show that Q.S Al-Rahman 33 offers an integrative framework between technological innovation and social responsibility, with three main principles: (1) the use of technology for the benefit of education, (2) strengthening inclusive access for all levels of society, and (3) mitigating negative impacts such as digital divides. Its implementation requires collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the community. The conclusion of the study emphasizes that the Qur'anic value-based approach can strengthen the sustainability of educational infrastructure development in Indonesia. The contribution of this paper lies in providing a holistic Islamic perspective on modern education issues, while offering theoretical solutions for a more equitable and ethical education policy.

Abstract

Grounded Theory Ethnography (GTE) research presents a cutting-edge methodology that combines the strengths of Grounded Theory (GT) and Ethnography. This approach opens the gates to understanding social and cultural phenomena in depth, generating solid theories based on empirical data. The primary goal of GTE is to develop or extend theory through systematic analysis of qualitative data. GTE researchers collect data through various ethnographic methods, such as participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data is then iteratively analyzed using GT techniques to identify emerging patterns, categories and concepts. GTE's strength lies in its ability to generate theories based on empirical data, not just assumptions. GTE allows researchers to capture the complexities and nuances of phenomena in their specific contexts, resulting in theories that are contextualized and culturally sensitive. This makes it useful for understanding and addressing complex social problems. GTE has been applied in various fields, such as education, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and public health. Its contribution to understanding various social and cultural phenomena, such as the immigrant experience, school culture, health practices and intergroup relations, is undeniable. GTE research paves the way for a deeper understanding of social and cultural realities. By combining the strengths of GT and Ethnography, GTE produces theories that are robust, relevant, and useful for solving various problems in society.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an is an obligation and one of the virtues for Muslims, but many students face difficulties in the memorization process, either due to lack of motivation or critical thinking skills that have not been properly honed. In the context of education, this challenge requires special attention to find effective solutions so that the process of memorizing the Qur'an can run more easily and enjoyably. Therefore, this study is important to explore how innovative methods, such as My Q-MAP, can play a role in increasing students' motivation and critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of the My Q-MAP method on both aspects in the tahfidz program at SMP IT An-Nuriyah Sekayu. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group approach involving 40 students as samples. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests and questionnaires to measure students' critical thinking skills and motivation. The results of the study indicate that the My Q-MAP method has a significant effect on increasing students' motivation and critical thinking skills in memorizing the Qur'an. This research is expected to contribute as a reference in improving the effectiveness of teaching methods and student motivation in the tahfidz program. In conclusion, the application of the My Q-MAP method can improve both aspects, and further research is recommended to test the application of this method in a broader context.

Abstract

Character education in the family plays an important role in the formation of children's morals, especially in rural areas that face limited access to formal education and technology. This article aims to explore the practices and strategies of parents in forming the morals of adolescents in Pembuang Hulu, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with five parents who have adolescents. The results show that parents in Pembuang Hulu rely on habituation methods, such as inviting children to study the Koran and pray in congregation, to form the character of adolescents. In addition, parental role models and attention to supervising children, both at home and in their social interactions, have proven effective in forming morals. However, the main challenges faced are the influence of the less supportive external environment and the use of technology, such as mobile phones and online games. Nevertheless, the active role of parents in supervising their children's development is very important in overcoming these challenges. This study makes an important contribution to the understanding of the role of families in children's character education in rural areas and encourages collaboration between families and educational institutions to create an environment that supports character education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of agency and structure within Islamic-based higher education institutions through a comparative approach at Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember (Unmuh) and Universitas Islam Jember (UIJ). The research is driven by the need to understand how universities rooted in Islamic values navigate the tension between preserving ideological identity and responding to the demands of globalization. A qualitative method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and participatory observation. The findings reveal that Unmuh tends to emphasize internal agency to maintain ideological autonomy based on Muhammadiyah values, while UIJ is more open to external collaboration to enhance global relevance and competitiveness. Both institutions utilize organizational structures as instruments to instill values, shape norms, and foster adaptation through formal policies, human resource development, and digital transformation. The discussion is enriched through a theoretical dialogue involving Giddens' structuration theory, Archer's morphogenetic approach, and the Islamic educational ethics of Halstead and Al-Attas. The novelty of this research lies in its simultaneous exploration of agency and structure in a comparative manner, and in the integration of Islamic values into leadership, policymaking, and institutional transformation within the context of contemporary Islamic higher education.
