Abstract

This research was conducted to improve the beginning reading skills of first grade students at SDN 16 Sungai Goa by using puzzle media as a teaching aid. Classroom action research was carried out in three cycles using the Kurt Lewin model, involving 16 students (eight boys and eight girls) in the even semester of the Academic Year 2021/2022. Data collection instruments used were tests, observation sheets, and field notes. The results showed that in cycle I, the students' success rate in reading only reached 55.56% and the learning activities conducted by the teacher only reached 63.23%. In cycle II, the students' success rate increased to 82.5% and the teacher's learning activities reached 85%. Meanwhile, in cycle III, the students' success rate increased to 95.05% and the teacher's learning activities reached 93.75%. This research showed that the use of puzzle media in beginning reading instruction can improve the reading skills of first grade students at SDN 16 Sungai Goa. In addition, puzzle media can make learning more enjoyable and effective. Therefore, it is recommended for teachers to design reading instruction well and use game activities such as puzzle media in instruction to increase students' interest in reading.

Abstract

Based on the research findings regarding the form of cultivating polite characters in class III students at Elementary School of Banyuajuh 4, it was found that the cultivation of polite characters includes three main aspects, namely politeness in appearance, politeness in communicating, and politeness in behavior. In this case, students are given an understanding of the consequences of impolite behavior, as well as the importance of being polite in creating a harmonious environment. The subjects in this study included class teachers and class III students at Elementary School of Banyuajuh 4 Bangkalan. This research uses qualitative research methods by collecting data through documentation observation sheets. The technique of analyzing data is using data reduction techniques, data display, and conclusions (data verification). With this observation, it can be concluded that students at Elementary School of Banyuajuh 4 have formed attitudes and polite behavior in interactions with teacher.

Abstract

Learning is an activity undertaken by students to acquire knowledge for future use. However, at present, many learning models have caused students to become less enthusiastic about participating in them. The observed fact is that there are still many students in class 3-D at SDS Al Fath BSD who receive grades below the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). This is primarily due to the use of traditional teaching models, which consequently affect the learning objectives. One of the interactive learning models is 'Make a Match.' This study aims to determine the impact of using the 'Make a Match' card media on the learning outcomes of PPKn (Civics and Citizenship Education) students regarding the diversity of regional specialties in Indonesia, specifically in the third-grade class at Elementary School (SD) 3-D. This research falls under the category of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects consist of 22 students participating in the SD 3-D class. The study employs three cycles: pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2. In the pre-cycle, it was found that the completion rate was 31.82%, which is below the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM) threshold of 70%. In cycle 1, the completion rate rose to 81.82%, indicating that learning outcomes exceeded the KKM of 70%. In the second phase, the graduation rate reached 90.91%, once again surpassing the KKM. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the development of student learning outcomes is influenced by the teaching model and the instructional media used. 'Make a Match' learning fosters student activity, creativity, and motivation throughout the learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in papers written by students. This research was conducted using a qualitative method that applies a descriptive approach. The research involved 3rd semester students in the PGSD study program. The number of papers analyzed were two student assignment papers. Data was collected by observation and documentation methods. Observations are carried out to see students' mistakes in writing papers, while documentation is papers that have been written by students. Data were analyzed using descriptive techniques. Descriptive analysis is used to describe student errors in writing papers. Indicators of mistakes in writing papers are the contents of the paper, grammar and writing techniques. The results showed that there were errors made by students in writing papers. It can be seen from the aspect of the content of the paper that students do not explain the contents of the paper completely, for example, in writing the background, the reasons for writing the paper are not explained in detail. In terms of grammatical aspects, there are still many errors in the use of punctuation, use of letters and use of words. Furthermore, in terms of the writing aspect, errors were still found in writing the list of references, and the procedure (ethics) for quoting references.

Abstract

21st century education has a more complex task, not just imparting knowledge. Rather it touches on the skills needed by students including critical thinking skills and adaptation to the use of technology which must be integrated in learning. If this is not the case, students' thinking skills will be low and they will not have mastery of technology. The problem in this study is the low learning activity and high-level thinking skills of students in learning Mathematics. The reason is because learning is not student-centered and has not facilitated the development of higher-order thinking skills. This will have an impact on low student learning outcomes and ability in problem solving. Efforts to overcome these problems are by applying the EXCELLENT model and Augmented Reality media. This study aims to describe the improvement of the quality of learning through teacher activities, to analyze the improvement of students' critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes. This study used Classroom Action Research which was conducted in 4 meetings. The research subjects were 21 grade IV students. Aspects observed in this study include critical thinking skills, and student learning outcomes. So that the results of teacher activity at meeting I scored 36 criteria for balance, meeting II scored 43 criteria very well, meeting III scored 45 criteria very well, and meeting IV scored 48 criteria very well. Aspects of critical thinking skills at meeting I 71.43%, meeting II score 85.71, meeting III 90.48%, and meeting IV 100% with the criteria of all students being very skilled. And student learning outcomes at meeting I 61.90%, meeting II score 80.95%, meeting III 90.48%, and meeting IV 100% with the criteria of all students being very thorough.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how to develop qr-code-based flash card media, determine the feasibility of qr-code-based flash card media, determine the level of practicality of the media, determine student responses to the use of qr-code-based flash card learning media. This research is a type of research and development using the 4D model. Based on the analysis of the needs of teachers and students, it can be concluded that students need audio-visual based media that the researchers developed in the form of qr-code based flash cards. Flash card learning media based on qr-code was validated by media experts and material experts. Learning media was tested in a limited way on 8 students and field tested on 21 grade VI students at SDN 3 Krasak Pecangaan. Flash card media based on qr-code is generated through the stages of define, design, development and disseminate. The results of the qr-code based flash card media validation test were tested by 2 media experts obtaining a score of 3.1 in the feasible category and 3.6 in the very feasible category. According to material experts, a score of 3.7 was obtained with a very decent category. Meanwhile, for the level of practicality, the media obtained a score of 3.7 in the very practical category. Student responses to qr-code-based flash card media obtained a score of 3.39 in the very good category. Then in the media effectiveness test using the paired sample t-test it is known that the acquisition of tcount 6.086 > ttable 1.895 so that there is a significant difference in the limited trial while in the field trial there is a result of tcount 9.485> ttable = 1, so there is a significant difference in the test try so that there are significant differences in field trials before and after using Qr-Code-based Flash Card Media in class VI students of SD N 3 Krasak Pecangaan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to 1) find out how the independent curriculum is implemented at Kedungwaru Lor Demak State Elementary School; 2) knowing the teacher's understanding of the curriculum structure and independent curriculum learning tools; and 3) knowing the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in implementing the independent curriculum at Kedungwaru Lor Demak State Elementary School. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The subjects of this research are school principals and class I and IV teachers as implementers of the independent curriculum in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The research results show that 1) In general, the implementation of the independent curriculum at Kedungwaru Lor Demak State Elementary School has been implemented well and is being implemented in stages in grades I and IV in the 2022/2023 academic year; 2) Teachers' understanding of the curriculum structure and independent curriculum learning tools is also quite good, shown by the percentage of achievement for each indicator reaching 83%; 3) Factors inhibiting the implementation of the independent curriculum include difficulties in time management, training regarding the independent curriculum is still limited, and a lack of references, while factors supporting the implementation of the independent curriculum include full support from the school principal, completeness of facilities and infrastructure as well as the enthusiasm of teachers and students in implementing the curriculum independent.

Abstract

Abstract Research on homeroom teacher strategies in overcoming class II students' learning difficulties at SDI Al-Furqon uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach. The results of this study are: First, the homeroom teacher's strategy in overcoming learning difficulties is to provide motivation to students, provide training, when there are only a few students who do not understand, the homeroom teacher explains again using a personal approach or can be called one by one, and provides special time during recess to students who have learning difficulties, namely reading. Second, the inhibiting and supporting factors, the supporting factors are from the students' parents, within the students themselves where students are very enthusiastic in carrying out reading guidance during recess. Inhibiting factors are students who do not attend school, lack of adequate facilities, and friends outside of school or the surrounding environment. Third, the influence of the role of the guardian is parents who encourage by motivating students at home while the homeroom teacher controls all students' understanding at school. Abstract

Project Based Learning (PjBL) is a learning model suggested in the independent curriculum, but teachers still encounter obstacles in applying this model in classroom learning. Project Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with the mind mapping method has the potential to develop high-level thinking skills including critical thinking, creative and problem solving, and mathematical communication of students. Besides that, Project Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with the mind mapping method can increase the effectiveness of learning for both teachers and students, where the Project Based Learning (PJBL) and Mind Mapping models are used as tools and media that can increase student learning activities and activities. This research aims to describe the steps of Project Based Learning (PjBL) through the mind mapping method in elementary schools, the principles of Project Based Learning (PjBL), the advantages and disadvantages of Project Based Learning (PjBL) and the characteristics of mind-mapping. Abstract

Modern education has evolved into the concept of "Merdeka Belajar", which gives students greater control over their education. In this context, differentiated learning, which recognizes the diversity of students and adjusts teaching to individual needs, becomes crucial. This article uses the story of Bhagawan Domya and his three students as a case study to explore the role of differentiated learning in meeting diverse learning needs in the modern education era. The story illustrates how Bhagawan Domya indirectly conducts in-depth assessments related to his students' learning needs. Differentiated learning involves adjusting content, processes, and products to support student development. In the era of "Merdeka Belajar", the combination of the freedom to learn the concept and differentiated learning creates an inclusive, motivating, and meaningful learning environment, enabling every student to reach their full potential.
