Abstract

This study is based on the understanding of the impact of temperature change on the percentage of rainfall in selected areas of Iraq, the data of Iraqi government institutions were relied upon in conducting the statistical assessment on the rates shown by the annual reports of rainfall rates in a number of Iraqi governorates from Mosul in the north to Basra in the south, the period 2000-2020 was chosen, and the CORDEX downsizing project was used, by developing scenario number RCP8.5, it has been shown by using the necessary calculations that rainfall levels will decrease at significant rates in the future if the temperature rises in the same pattern as the current one, which predicts an uncertain future for the nature of the climate in Iraq, this will have a serious impact on the agriculture, industry and all other sectors, this requires the Iraqi government to provide strategic solutions for the coming period. Highlights : Government Data Assessment: Reliance on Iraqi government institutions' data for statistical assessment. Future Projections: Use of the CORDEX downsizing project to develop scenario RCP8.5. Critical Implications: Calculations reveal significant future decreases in rainfall, posing serious threats to agriculture, industry, and other sectors in Iraq. Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aimed to develop an intervention program to enhance hand hygiene practices among school children in Najaf Governorate. Data were collected via a questionnaire assessing demographic characteristics and hand washing behaviors. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis. Results revealed suboptimal hand hygiene practices, with only 58.2% of children washing their hands after using the bathroom and 63.4% after playing. Gender and age disparities were evident, with females and older children exhibiting better hand washing habits. Family dynamics also played a significant role, with children learning hand washing predominantly from their mothers, particularly when fathers were present and employed as earners. Recommendations include integrating hygiene education into school curricula and conducting targeted educational sessions to promote effective hand washing practices. These findings underscore the importance of addressing socio-demographic factors in designing interventions to improve hand hygiene among school children, thereby mitigating the spread of infectious diseases. Highlights : Importance of Hand Hygiene: The study highlights the significance of hand washing in preventing disease transmission, emphasizing its crucial role in maintaining public health. Gender and Age Disparities: Findings reveal differences in hand washing practices based on gender and age, underlining the need for targeted interventions to address these disparities. Influence of Family and Profession: The influence of family members, particularly parents, and the profession of the father on hand washing habits underscores the importance of familial and societal support in promoting good hygiene practices. Abstract

General Background: Oral hygiene is necessary to prevent microbial growth, and salt solutions are widely used as natural antibacterial agents. Specific Background: Table salt and Himalayan black salt are commonly used in oral care, but their antibacterial activity at different concentrations requires comparison. Knowledge Gap: Comparative in-vitro evaluation of both salts against oral pathogenic bacteria across multiple concentrations remains limited. Aims: This study compares antibacterial activity of table salt and Himalayan black salt solutions at concentrations of 5%–25% against Streptococcus mutans and Klebsiella pneumoniae using disc diffusion testing. Results: Table salt at 15% produced very strong inhibition against Streptococcus mutans, while Himalayan black salt at 25% showed moderate inhibition. Against Klebsiella pneumoniae, table salt at 20% and Himalayan black salt at 25% demonstrated moderate inhibition. Two-way ANOVA showed significant differences between salt types, while post hoc analysis showed no significant differences among concentrations. Novelty: This study provides graded concentration comparison of two salt types using repeated diffusion testing. Implications: The findings support table salt solution as a natural antibacterial option for oral hygiene and provide laboratory-based reference for natural antimicrobial materials. Highlights: Concentration 15% Solution Produced the Strongest Inhibition Zone Against Cariogenic Bacteria. Diffusion Testing Demonstrated Measurable Bacterial Growth Suppression Across Multiple Treatment Levels. Statistical Comparison Confirmed Distinct Antibacterial Responses Between Both Mineral Solutions. Abstract

General Background: Academic stress is a psychological condition experienced by adolescents due to academic demands, achievement pressure, and fear of academic failure. Specific Background: Emotional intelligence involves the ability to recognize, regulate, and manage emotions, which supports student adaptation to academic challenges. Knowledge Gap: Empirical evidence examining the correlation between emotional intelligence and academic stress among junior high school students remains limited. Aims: This study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic stress among grade 9 students at SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu. Results: This quantitative correlational study involved 182 students selected through quota sampling. Data were collected using the Emotional Intelligence Scale (30 items; α = 0.881) and Academic Stress Scale (21 items; α = 0.91), analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation. Findings showed a significant negative correlation between emotional intelligence and academic stress (r = -0.016; p = 0.035). Most students demonstrated moderate levels of academic stress (64%) and emotional intelligence (65%), with emotional intelligence contributing 2.6% to academic stress variability. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence focusing on junior high school students, expanding research beyond university populations. Implications: Emotional intelligence development may be considered in student psychological support to manage academic pressure. Highlights: Statistical Testing Revealed a Significant Inverse Association Between Psychological Self-Regulation Ability and Learning Pressure. Majority of Participants Demonstrated Moderate Levels of Learning-Related Tension and Socio-Emotional Competence. Emotional Self-Management Accounted for a Small Proportion of Variability in Learning-Related Strain. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Academic Stress, Adolescent Students, Psychological Adaptation, School Pressure

Abstract

Fraud that occurs in MSME players today is increasingly diverse. Fraud can take the form of financial statement fraud, mixing personal finances with business finances or dishonesty in running a business. This causes a prolonged dilemma for MSME actors in managing business income. Many MSMEs have not been able to manage good financial reports. This Research Objective is used to gain a deeper understanding of the behavior and detection of fraud that occurs in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on the Fraud Triangle Theory and the efforts made by MSMEs in preventing and detecting fraud early. The type of sample experiment research used is the random method. The method of collecting information through direct observation and questions, FGDs and the technique of using documentation in the data collection process. The data analysis approach involves the steps of data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the analysis explain that MSME actors do not all carry out financial statement management and still carry out a lot of fraud. The implications of this research contribute to the understanding of fraud, especially by forensic accountants, auditors, fraud examiners and anti-fraud examiners who are used to see fraud in MSMEs. Highlights : Fraud in MSMEs is multifaceted, encompassing financial statement manipulation and unethical business practices. Research aims to understand fraud behavior using the Fraud Triangle Theory and explore MSME efforts in fraud prevention. Utilizes random sampling and data collection methods like direct observation, FGDs, and documentation to gather comprehensive insights. Keywords : Fraud Triangel, Financial Statements, Fraudulent Behavior and MSMEs
