Abstract

General Background: Sepak takraw requires strong fundamental skills, particularly sepak sila passing, to ensure effective gameplay. Specific Background: However, the mastery of passing techniques among PSTI Merangin athletes remains low due to monotonous and traditional training methods. Knowledge Gap: There has been no scientific evidence examining the effectiveness of wall passing drills in developing sepak sila passing skills. Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the application of wall passing training on the sepak sila passing ability of PSTI Merangin athletes. Results: An experimental design with one group pretest-posttest was conducted on 15 athletes, showing an average score improvement from 6.00 to 7.40. A paired t-test yielded a value of 6.548 with a significance of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating a significant increase in passing skills. Novelty: Wall-based training proved to be a simple yet effective self-training method for building muscle memory, accuracy, and movement consistency in sepak takraw passing. Implications: These findings provide practical contributions for coaches and physical education teachers as an affordable, independent, and applicable training alternative in sepak takraw development. Highlight: Wall passing training improves accuracy and control in sepak sila passing. A simple method suitable for regional-level athletes. Abstract

General Background: Sepak bola usia muda tidak hanya membina keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga membentuk karakter, motivasi, dan dinamika sosial pemain. Specific Background: Perkembangan komunikasi digital melalui media sosial mengubah pola interaksi antara pemain, pelatih, dan manajemen, yang berpotensi memengaruhi motivasi dan kohesi tim. Knowledge Gap: Penelitian sebelumnya lebih banyak menyoroti motivasi atlet secara umum, namun belum banyak mengkaji peran media sosial dalam interaksi sosial dan motivasi di sekolah sepak bola. Aims: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dinamika interaksi sosial serta faktor-faktor motivasi pemain di Sekolah Sepak Bola Sangar Muda. Results: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial di SSB Sangar Muda berlangsung akrab dan harmonis, namun komunikasi lebih dominan terjadi melalui media sosial daripada tatap muka, sehingga menurunkan kedekatan emosional. Motivasi pemain dipengaruhi oleh cita-cita menjadi profesional, kepuasan pribadi, kesenangan berlatih, dukungan keluarga, peran pelatih, pengaruh teman sebaya, serta penghargaan. Novelty: Studi ini menyoroti pergeseran komunikasi ke ruang digital sebagai faktor baru dalam pembinaan sepak bola usia dini. Implications: Temuan memberikan strategi praktis bagi pelatih dan manajemen untuk menggabungkan komunikasi digital dengan interaksi tatap muka agar terbentuk kohesi emosional dan motivasi berkelanjutan. Highlight: Pemain lebih banyak berkomunikasi melalui media sosial dibanding tatap muka. Motivasi dipengaruhi faktor intrinsik dan ekstrinsik, termasuk dukungan keluarga serta pelatih. Strategi pembinaan perlu menggabungkan komunikasi digital dan interaksi langsung untuk menjaga kohesi tim. Abstract

General Background: Kecepatan merupakan komponen fisik penting dalam sepak bola modern karena berpengaruh pada transisi permainan, duel satu lawan satu, dan efektivitas serangan. Specific Background: Banyak pemain muda SSB Sangar Muda masih menunjukkan keterbatasan dalam akselerasi dan dribbling, sehingga diperlukan metode latihan yang dapat meningkatkan performa tersebut. Knowledge Gap: Penelitian sebelumnya banyak menyoroti latihan resistance sprint pada atlet remaja atau dewasa, sementara bukti empiris pada pemain usia dini masih terbatas. Aims: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh latihan speed chute parasut terhadap peningkatan kecepatan dribbling pemain SSB Sangar Muda usia 11–13 tahun. Results: Hasil penelitian dengan desain one group pretest–posttest pada 23 sampel menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dengan selisih rata-rata 2,69 detik (p = 0,000 < 0,05). Distribusi kategori performa juga bergeser dari mayoritas “Kurang Baik” menjadi “Cukup,” “Baik,” bahkan “Sangat Baik.” Novelty: Studi ini memberikan bukti bahwa latihan resistance sprint menggunakan parasut dapat diadaptasi secara efektif pada pembinaan usia dini, berbeda dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang berfokus pada kelompok usia lebih tua. Implications: Hasil ini menyarankan pelatih untuk mengintegrasikan speed chute training ke dalam program rutin guna memperkuat daya ledak, akselerasi, serta keterampilan dribbling, sehingga mendukung kesiapan fisik dan teknis pemain menghadapi tuntutan sepak bola modern. Highlight: Peningkatan kecepatan dribbling signifikan sebesar 2,69 detik. Speed chute efektif diaplikasikan pada pemain usia dini. Memberi implikasi praktis bagi program pembinaan sepak bola. Abstract

Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading global cause of mortality, and recent evidence suggests a bidirectional relationship between systemic inflammation and periodontal disease (PD). Specific Background: Oral microbiota dysbiosis, particularly involving pathogens such as P. gingivalis, A. actinomycetemcomitans, and T. forsythia, has been implicated in CVD progression through inflammatory and metabolic pathways. Knowledge Gap: While previous studies have highlighted possible associations, limited data exist regarding the prevalence of these pathogens and their correlation with systemic inflammatory markers and cardiovascular risk factors in Middle Eastern populations. Aim: This study investigated the prevalence of key periodontal pathogens in patients with CVD and their relationship with systemic biomarkers and cardiovascular risk indicators. Results: A total of 150 CVD patients and 50 healthy controls were analyzed. Patients exhibited significantly higher prevalence of periodontal pathogens (74% P. gingivalis, 56% A. actinomycetemcomitans, 62% T. forsythia), elevated inflammatory markers (CRP, IL-6, TNF-α), dyslipidemia, and increased BMI compared with controls (p < 0.001). Pathogen prevalence correlated positively with CVD severity. Novelty: This study provides region-specific evidence linking periodontal pathogens to systemic inflammation and cardiovascular risk. Implications: The findings underscore the importance of integrating oral health care into cardiovascular disease prevention and management strategies.Highlight : Periodontal pathogens are found more frequently in patients with CVD. Abstract

General Background: Motivation is a crucial factor in determining students’ success in language learning, particularly at the elementary level. Specific Background: Observations at MIS Assu’udiyah revealed that the integration of ice breaking activities in Indonesian language learning fostered enthusiasm and classroom engagement. Knowledge Gap: Although prior studies addressed motivation, limited research has examined how structured ice breaking activities sustain students’ motivation in elementary Indonesian language classes. Aim: This study explores the forms of motivation demonstrated by students and the strategies they adopt during lessons supported by ice breaking. Results: Using qualitative case study methods with interviews and thematic analysis, findings indicate that both internal factors (interest, persistence, curiosity) and external factors (teacher encouragement, positive class atmosphere, peer interaction) shape students’ motivation. Ice breaking helped reduce tension, increased participation, and promoted joyful learning experiences. Novelty: Unlike general motivational studies, this research emphasizes the role of interactive and playful activities as a consistent pedagogical strategy in early language acquisition. Implications: Integrating ice breaking into routine lesson planning may serve as a practical approach for teachers to sustain motivation, emotional readiness, and active participation in elementary classrooms. Highlight Students showed high enthusiasm and focus during ice breaking activities. Internal and external factors jointly shaped learning motivation. Abstract

General background: Tourism plays a significant role in Indonesia’s economic growth, particularly through village-based tourism that integrates cultural sustainability and community welfare. Specific background: Tampaksiring Village, designated as a tourism village under Bali Governor Regulation No. 52 of 2021 and Regent Decree No. 762/E-02/HK/2020, possesses rich natural, cultural, and historical assets. However, its development remains suboptimal, revealing a gap between regulatory mandates and actual implementation. Knowledge gap: Existing studies have rarely examined the legal authority and governance challenges of village administrations in optimizing tourism potential within a sustainable development framework. Aims: This study investigates Tampaksiring Village’s authority in managing local tourism and identifies strategies to enhance its tourism potential. Results: Findings show that the village government exercises attribution and delegation authority but struggles to implement integrative and strategic programs. The study highlights five development efforts: branding a unique tourism identity, expanding partnerships, utilizing social media, empowering community participation, and ensuring cultural-environmental sustainability. Novelty: Unlike prior research focusing mainly on promotion, this study underscores the interplay between legal authority, governance, and community-based management as key drivers of sustainable tourism branding. Implications: Strengthening institutional capacity and collaborative governance can transform Tampaksiring into a model of culturally rooted and environmentally responsible tourism development Highlight: Legal authority and governance are crucial for optimizing village tourism. Abstract

General Background: Mathematics learning in elementary schools often fails to engage students, leading to low motivation and unsatisfactory outcomes. Specific Background: At SDN 71/II Sungai Gambir, fourth-grade students showed limited participation and low test scores in mathematics, particularly in fractions. Knowledge Gap: Traditional methods often overlook playful and interactive approaches that align with students’ cognitive and social needs. Aims: This study examined the application of the Scramble learning model supported by Snakes and Ladders media to strengthen mathematics learning among fourth-grade students. Results: Conducted through Classroom Action Research across two cycles, findings revealed progress in teacher performance (77.27% to 90.90%), student participation (65% to 85%), and test achievement (55% to 80%). Novelty: The integration of game-based media with a cooperative Scramble model demonstrated a unique strategy for fostering active, enjoyable, and meaningful mathematics learning in elementary settings. Implications: These findings suggest that teachers may adopt interactive and playful methods to improve classroom dynamics, strengthen student collaboration, and achieve better mathematics learning results. Highlight: Improved teacher performance, student participation, and test scores. Scramble model combined with Snakes and Ladders created active and fun learning. Abstract

General Background: Science and Social Science (IPAS) learning in elementary schools often shows low engagement and achievement due to monotonous classroom-centered approaches. Specific Background: At SD Negeri 071/II Sungai Gambir, many students relied passively on teacher explanations and demonstrated limited participation. Knowledge Gap: Conventional methods were unable to foster active involvement and meaningful understanding of scientific concepts. Aim: This study explored the use of the outdoor study approach to strengthen the science learning process and outcomes of fourth-grade students. Results: Conducted as classroom action research in two cycles with 17 students, findings indicated consistent improvement. Teacher performance rose from 72.22% to 88.88%, student activity increased from 70.58% to 88.23%, and cognitive achievement improved from 52.94% to 88.23%. Novelty: Unlike prior works, this study integrated outdoor study with structured peer tutoring and visual media to optimize learning within limited timeframes. Implications: The results demonstrate that outdoor study can cultivate active participation, deeper conceptual understanding, and higher achievement in science learning at the elementary level. Highlights: Outdoor study increased teacher performance, student activity, and learning outcomes. Visual media and peer tutoring enhanced learning during outdoor sessions. Abstract

(General Background) The increasing competition in Indonesia’s retail sector highlights the critical role of service quality in influencing consumer purchasing behavior. (Specific Background) Faiz Plastic Store Sidoarjo, a retailer of household and packaging products, has experienced a decline in sales performance, allegedly due to deteriorating service quality that affects consumer retention. (Knowledge Gap) Previous studies have confirmed the impact of service quality on purchasing behavior, yet empirical evidence regarding its structural influence on purchase decisions, repeat purchases, and customer loyalty in small-scale retail settings remains limited. (Aims) This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between service quality (Servqual), purchase decisions, repeat purchases, and customer loyalty using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). (Results) Findings reveal that service quality significantly influences purchase decisions, but purchase decisions do not significantly affect repeat purchases, while repeat purchases have a strong positive effect on customer loyalty. (Novelty) The study develops a structural model that clarifies the indirect mechanism linking Servqual dimensions to loyalty through behavioral intentions. (Implications) The results emphasize that maintaining high service quality should be complemented with loyalty programs, digital engagement, and online ordering systems to ensure customer retention and business sustainability. Highlights:  Service quality significantly shapes initial purchasing behavior. Repeat purchases serve as the main driver of customer loyalty. Abstract

General Background: Education plays a central role in shaping knowledgeable and skilled generations, but traditional lecture-based methods often limit student engagement. Specific Background: In Islamic law (Fiqh) learning, students frequently face difficulties understanding abstract concepts, leading to boredom and low motivation. Knowledge Gap: While flashcards have been widely used in subjects such as vocabulary acquisition, their application in Fiqh learning, especially to enhance both understanding and engagement, remains underexplored. Aims: This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of flashcard learning media in improving cognitive understanding and active participation of Grade VII students in Fiqh at MTs Nurul Jadid Paiton and MTs Darul Falah Cermee. Results: Using a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation, the findings reveal that flashcards significantly enhance student activeness, motivation, and comprehension of Fiqh concepts, particularly in recalling and applying abstract terms. Novelty: Unlike prior studies that focused only on cognitive gains, this research highlights the dual impact of flashcards on both understanding and engagement, tested across two institutions with different contexts. Implications: The study suggests that flashcards are not merely supplementary tools but a transformative strategy for making Fiqh learning more interactive, participative, and effective, offering a model applicable to other abstract-oriented subjects.Highlight : Flashcards help simplify abstract fiqh material. The strategy increases student activeness and motivation. Participation with flashcards improves comprehension and memory.
