Abstract

This experimental quantitative study investigates the impact of the Project Based Learning (PBL) model on science learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Krian. The research addresses the lack of innovation by educators in learning implementation, resulting in limited student engagement and poor learning outcomes. The study follows a Nonequivalent Control Group Design, with class 4 Al - Aziz (20 students) as the control group and class 4 Al - Jabbar (20 students) as the experimental group. Cognitive abilities and learning outcomes were measured using a test, and data analysis was conducted using the t-test. The results, obtained through the t-test Paired Sample T Test in SPSS v.24, revealed a significant effect of the Project Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade science students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Krian (p < 0.05, sig. 2-Tailed = 0.000). This finding supports the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1). The implication of this research suggests that implementing the Project Based Learning model can enhance science learning outcomes for fourth-grade students, thereby addressing the issue of limited student involvement in learning activities. Highlights: Project Based Learning improves science learning outcomes: The research demonstrates that implementing the Project Based Learning model positively impacts the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in science. Addressing the lack of student engagement in learning: The study emphasizes the importance of addressing the issue of low student involvement in learning activities by introducing innovative approaches such as Project Based Learning. Experimental study design: The research follows a Nonequivalent Control Group Design, allowing for a comparison between the control group and the experimental group to evaluate the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning model. Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that in class 1 SDN Candiharjo there are several students who are experiencing problems related to their reading ability. Moreover, the learning process is a lot and is often done at home, due to the conditions during the pandemic which requires him to study at home with his parents. Therefore, the researcher wants to examine whether there is a relationship between the role of parents during the learning process at home with the early reading ability of grade 1 students. So the purpose of this study is to find a correlation between the two. This researcher uses a quantitative correlation research approach. Collecting data in this study used a questionnaire on the role of parents and assessment of the reading ability of grade 1 students. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive correlation between the role of parents on the early reading ability of grade 1 students with very strong significance. Highlights: Parental involvement: The research emphasizes the importance of parental involvement in the learning process at home, specifically focusing on the role of parents in enhancing early reading ability in grade 1 students. Positive correlation: The study establishes a positive correlation between the role of parents and the early reading ability of grade 1 students. This suggests that increased parental involvement positively impacts the students' reading skills. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the influence of the speed reading method on the reading comprehension ability of fourth-grade students in an elementary school setting. A quantitative experimental approach was employed, utilizing a One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The sample consisted of 21 students from SDN Kalitengah II. Pre-test and post-test data were collected through descriptive question sheets. Prior to implementing the speed reading method, students' learning outcomes were predominantly categorized as very low (80.96%) and low (19.04%). However, after implementing the speed reading method, the distribution significantly improved, with only 5.55% classified as very low, and a majority achieving high (77.78%) and very high (16.67%) scores. Statistical analysis using the t-test yielded a tCount of 4.35, surpassing the tTable value of 1.725, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1). Thus, the findings indicate that the speed reading method positively impacts students' reading ability. These results have important implications for enhancing reading comprehension in elementary education settings. Highlights: Speed reading improves reading comprehension: This study demonstrates the positive impact of the speed reading method on enhancing reading comprehension among elementary students. Quantitative experimental approach: The study utilized a rigorous quantitative experimental design to examine the effects of speed reading on students' reading abilities. Significant improvement in learning outcomes: The findings revealed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, with a majority achieving high and very high scores after implementing the speed reading method. Abstract

The general background increasing demands placed on educators necessitate a comprehensive understanding of the factors affecting their performance. While stress, job satisfaction, and work motivation are acknowledged as critical components of teacher effectiveness, existing research shows mixed findings regarding their individual and collective contributions to teaching performance. This study addresses the knowledge gap by examining the relationships between these variables in the context of educators at a specific institution. The primary aim is to determine how work stress, job satisfaction, and work motivation collectively influence teacher performance. Using quantitative methods and a survey distributed to a sample of teachers, data were analyzed through multiple linear regression. Results indicate that, while no significant individual effects of work stress, job satisfaction, or work motivation on teacher performance were found, a significant collective effect was observed. This suggests that simultaneous variations in these factors can influence teaching effectiveness. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on the interplay between these variables, contributing to a nuanced understanding of teacher performance dynamics. The implications that educational institutions should adopt a holistic approach to teacher support, recognizing the interconnectedness of stress, satisfaction, and motivation to foster an environment conducive to improved educational outcomes. Highlights: Significant combined effect of stress, satisfaction, and motivation on performance. No significant individual effects found for each variable. Emphasis on interconnectedness for enhancing teacher support. Keywords: Stress, Job Satisfaction, Work Motivation, Teacher Performance, Education
