Abstract

One of the programs needed to evaluate the success of a training is training evaluation. According to the data from the education and training department of the studied hospital, the implementation of training result was still lacking. The objectiove of this study was to find out the factors contributing to the lack of implementation of the result of external training in Muhammadiyah University Hospital Malang. The method used in this study was observation, document review, and interview. The result showed that the knowledge which the staffs got from the external training was not implemented properly. From ten external trainings observed, about 30% of them was not implemented properly. Fishbone diagram showed that the main factor was there was no post-training evaluation. The solution was to make a guideline and standard operating procedure regarding post-training evaluaiton.

Abstract

Comparison of the economy in 2010 and 2016 before and after the policy bycreating an empowerment program to improve the economy of the community. The research method used is an explanatory approach with survey techniques. The population in this study is the poverty rate in the Leuwigoong sub-district which amounts to 8 villages with a total of 4519 families. Prehistoric economic data was obtained from Lewigoong District. From the comparison of the community economy, there is a difference between the economic results of the community before and after the policy because the value of (2-tailed) produces a number of 0.000 <of 0.05 and the results are significant.

Abstract

This paper examines the role of collaborative governance to improve environmental governance in ensuring environmental security, particularly in the mining areas. The extractive industry has been always in the spotlight in its relation with the environmental security issues. Until today, the mining companies are still counted as a pawn for environmental sustainability efforts. In accordance with the sustainable development goal, environmental management practices could not be imposed to one actor only. Collaborative governance approach emerged as an alternative solution in answering these demands.

Abstract

Garbage is a main issues discussed by many people, as we all know the amount of litter in Indonesia each year has increased, production of urban waste in Indonesia amounted to 38.5 million tons/ year or when averaged per-day amounted 200,000 tonnes/ day. If viewed in terms of waste management, it is known that 68% of the waste is transported and dumped, buried 9%, 6% is processed into compost and recycled, 5% was burned, and 7% of the waste is not managed. Trash if not handled properly will cause the unpleasant smell, the source of various diseases, blockage of waterways and can also cause flood. It was found by researcher in direct observation in the Village of Tataaran Patar, District of South Tondano. One of the main factors is the lack of public awareness on environment especially trash management boils down to the lowest participation rate.

Abstract

E-Complaint is a facility that serves complaints in the form of information and communication technology which are accessible at anytime and anywhere. The responses of the complaints can be re-accessed through the UB website (http://ecomplaint.ub.ac.id). E-complaint is the inexpensive and efficient media serving complaints. Based on the results of the questionnaire given to the academic community in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, this research found different understandings of the existence of UB e-complaint facility. The findings showed that of the 100 students who filled out a questionnaire, only 23% students were aware of the e-complaint facility, and only 4% students have used the facility, as well as, of the 30 university staffs who filled out a questionnaire, 83.33% staffs knew the facility, but only 13.33% staffs have used it, similarly, of the 27 lecturers who filled out the questionnaire, 100% were aware of the ecomplaint facility, but only 18.52% lecturers have used it.

Abstract

The objective of this research study is to examine the effect of distributive and procedural justice on job satisfaction through perceived organizational support among academic staff in Brawijaya University. Data collected from questionnaire and analyzed with PLS-based SEM techniques with conceptual model are developed from literature and empirical study. The result of the analysis shows both distributive justice and procedural justice were found to be significantly and directly related to perceived organizational support, but no direct sgnificant effecton job satisfaction. Furthermore, not only an academic staffs must be treated fairly enough, but also must be feeling supported from their organization to get them more satisfied in their job.

Abstract

Management of higher education becomes a business-like service industry which focuses on its service users. Indonesian government shifts the orientation of higher education management to service users-oriented. Therefore, student satisfaction becomes an essential aspect of higher education management. This study aims to investigate the effect of service quality on student satisfaction. The results show that the aspects of service quality simultaneously influence on student satisfaction. Partially, variables of service quality that have a significant influence on student satisfaction are access, program learning, and reputation. Therefore, Faculty of Medicine could increase student satisfaction by focusing on improving those three aspects that affect student satisfaction.

Abstract

Gender issue always become an interesting topic to be researched, especially when the gender issue itself is related to sustainable city issue. Sustainability of a city cannot be separated from gender role and contribution. The existence of gender often becoming influential group in city living environment. In one part of Malang City, at Kelurahan Purwantoro, initiating a Water Saving Movement or Gerakan Menabung Air (Gemar) at Kampung 3G (Glintung Go Green). The purpose of this research is to provide the relationship representation between gender and sustainable city program, especially in succeeding the activity at Kampung 3G (Glintung Go Green). This research using descriptive quantitative method, with questionnaire as the data gathering method in knowing the gender role and perception. This research also using SPSS to analyze the data. The result shows that there is a significant relation between gender and Kampung 3G sustainable city program, however the successes and development of the program did not affecting gender perception. It also shows that the successes of sustainable city program is not in line with the development of gender perception.

Abstract

This research is a survey of public satisfaction on public service implementation at General Hospital (RSUD) Gambiran in Kediri City, which is specialized in Outpatient Installation (IRJ), Inpatient Installation (IRNA), and Support Services Unit. This survey was conducted as an evaluation material and to improve service at Gambiran Hospital in Kediri City. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive, with data collection method of questionnaire and interview. The result of the satisfaction survey showed that from the service of Gambiran Hospital in Kediri City has good category, with the total index is 72,89. The detail of Outpatient Installation (IRJ) have index 71,13 with good category, Installation of Inpatient (IRNA) 74, 22 with good category, and Support Service Unit index of 73.32 with good category. Conclusion in this research is all service at Gambiran Hospital in Kediri City have good categories, but there are some element of service that need to be paid attention and repaired, such as service promise, infrastructure to support promise service, queue time and service delivery time, service officer attitude, and complaint and handling of complaint service.

Abstract

The construction of Hamid Rusdi Terminal was initially one of the efforts of Malang City Government to break up the traffic in Gadang area and itssurroundings due to avoid heavy traffic, besides that Gadang Terminal was unable to accommodate vehicles and passengers due to the existence of a gadang market that is integrated with the gadang terminal. The construction of Hamid Rusdi Terminal is seen as one of the solutions, but it is not working well, so the policy should be evaluated. This research uses descriptive qualitative method by focusing on 1) Development Policy Planning Process of Hamid Rusdi Terminal Malang; 2) The Impact of Ongoing Development Policy of Hamid Rusdi Terminal; and 3) Future Challenge for Hamid Rusdi Terminal can run in accordance with policy objectives. The result of the evaluation of Hamid Rusdi's terminal development policy shows that at the planning stage the policy does not go through a rigorous planning process. So the construction of Hamid Rusdi Terminal is not in line with expectations.
