Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence Based Tutoring Systems (AITS) has emerged as a transformative approach in personalized education, overcoming the limitations of traditional one-size-fits-all methodologies. Despite increasing adoption of AITS, there remains a critical gap in understanding its effectiveness across different learner profiles. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of AITS in improving personalized learning outcomes, focusing on variations in learning styles, initial abilities, and student demographic characteristics. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted, following PRISMA guidelines. Data were collected from leading academic databases, including Scopus and Web of Science, using a Boolean search strategy to identify relevant articles that were peer-reviewed and published between 2001 and 2024. Thematic analysis was applied to synthesize the findings of the selected studies. Analysis shows that AITS significantly improves academic performance and student engagement through adaptive learning mechanisms and real-time feedback. Specifically, the effectiveness of AITS varies based on individual learning preferences, with visual and kinesthetic learners showing the most substantial improvements. These findings emphasize the potential of AITS to foster an inclusive educational environment by accommodating the needs of diverse learners. This research contributes to the theoretical framework of personalized learning and offers practical insights for educators and policymakers in implementing AI-based educational interventions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of stimuli in religious psychology as an interaction strategy between Indonesian diaspora teachers and students at Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School in Thailand. The main focus of this research is to identify and describe how teachers employ cognitive, affective, and behavioral stimuli in the process of religious education. Through interviews with diaspora teachers, it was found that the approach used involves gentleness, affection, and appreciation for students' efforts, which serve as cognitive stimuli in fostering understanding of the material. Additionally, emotional attention, empathy, and compassionate communication become effective stimuli that strengthen the emotional bond between teachers and students, encouraging student engagement and motivation. Behavioral stimuli are demonstrated through the teachers' role models, the habituation of positive attitudes, and reinforcement of good behavior through rewards and positive reinforcement. This study shows that the integration of these three types of stimuli creates a holistic learning environment that supports students' academic, emotional development.

Abstract

Self-control is one of the key pillars in the continuous development of students’ character. This study aims to analyze the role of pembina (mentors) in the process of internalizing self-control values within the environment of tahfidz Islamic boarding schools in Watampone. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design. The study was conducted at three tahfidz pesantren: Pondok Pesantren Baytul Mukarramah, Al-Junaidiyah Biru, and Ibnu Qayyim Wahdah Islamiyah Bone. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation, supported by literature review. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the role of pembina (mentors) in fostering students' self-control is carried out through four main functions: as educators, role models, motivators, and counselors. The value internalization process is implemented gradually through three stages of mentoring: ta’lim, tarbiyah, and takwin. Supporting factors include the exemplary conduct of pembina, a conducive pesantren environment, and parental involvement, while inhibiting factors include time constraints, lack of character training, and external environmental influences. The conclusion of this study highlights that pembina have a significant contribution in shaping students’ self-control cognitively, behaviorally, and morally within tahfidz Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth the application of the concept of Islamic education in the moral development of students at MTs Cina, Bone Regency. The background of this study is based on the increasing phenomenon of moral crisis among adolescents which is characterized by a decline in the values of honesty, politeness, discipline, and social responsibility. As an Islamic educational institution, MTs has a strategic role in instilling noble moral values to students through an exemplary and habituation approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study consisted of the head of the madrasah, aqidah akhlak teachers, al-Qur'an reading and writing teachers, BK teachers, and MTs Cina students. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the concept of Islamic education is implemented through the dimensions of exemplary behavior, habituation, and moral development with an emphasis on the values of honesty, humility, and patience. Teachers act as good examples in shaping the character of students. Habitual activities such as congregational prayer, tadarus, joint prayer, and instilling social values through extracurricular activities are important means of internalizing Islamic values. However, there are still challenges in the implementation of moral development, such as the negative influence of social media, weak parental supervision, lack of internal awareness of students, and limited madrasah facilities. This study concludes that the concept of Islamic education applied in MTs Cina has proven effective in shaping the character of students, although it requires a sustainable strategy, synergy with families, and improvement of supporting facilities. This finding provides an important contribution in the development of an Islamic education model that emphasizes the integration of spiritual, moral, and social values as the main foundation for the formation of a generation with noble character.
