Abstract

The infant period (0-18 months) is a very important part of growth because it is a phasegolden age. During this period, there are infants who experience psychosocial delays due to direct involvement or parental stimulation. This research was conducted to determine the characteristics of parents (age, gender, education, occupation, income and family type) and the psychosocial development of infants. The research used an exploratory descriptive design. The sample in the study consisted of 55 respondents with data collection techniques using total sampling. The measuring tools are in the form of questionnaires, namely the parent characteristics questionnaire and the infant psychosocial development questionnaire (0-18 months). Data analysis uses frequency distribution. Research shows that the majority of parents are >25-40 years old, female, have junior high school education, work as laborers, average income <UMR, and all respondents belong to nuclear families. Meanwhile, the majority of infants' psychosocial development is at a normal stage. Parents are expected to carry out self-evaluations in getting to know, caring for and providing stimulation to infant children in order to achieve optimal psychosocial development.

Abstract

Potassium is an important analyte because if there is a deficiency or too much of potassium, it will lead to the death of a person, that is the reason why errors in potassium measurements can create serious conditions for patients if therapy is based on inaccurate laboratory results. The hemoconcentration state of the sample can influence the final results obtained. This research aims to determine application techniquesTourniquet against potassium levels, where useTourniquet Inaccuracy can also cause hemoconcentration of the sample which can increase potassium levels in the serum. This research is a laboratory experiment that uses serum from subjects. All data was then processed statistically with paired T-Test. The results of the research are the average potassium levels using the techniqueTourniquet released right after the vein became accessible was approximately 3.86 mmol/L, lower than the second intervention using applicationTourniquet which is not released until the blood volume is sufficient, around 4.05 mmol/L. According to the results of the paired T Test, the p value is 0.003 with 2 tailed significance (α = 0.025) which makes p < α. These results indicate that there is a difference in potassium levels between the two tourniquet application techniques

Abstract

Fevertyphoid is a disease caused by infection with the bacteria Salmonella typhi. This disease is still a health problem, especially in developing countries. This disease is closely related to personal hygiene and the surrounding environment, such as the use of clean water, waste management and disposal. Transmission of fevertyphoid It can be fecal and oral which enters the human body through contaminated food and drink. The general aim of this journal is to describe the management of nursing care with the main problem of fevertyphoid. This case study uses a descriptive method, namely describing the nursing care process by focusing on one of the important problems in the selected case, namely nursing care with the main problem being fever.typhoid.

Abstract

Multidrug resistant (TB-MDR) occurs due to treatment failure, dropping, treatment, or improper treatment resulting in primary resistant. This research aimed to analyze the correlation between family support and self efficacy of multidrug resistant patient at TB-MDR Polly Ibnu Sina Hospital Gresik. Method : Descriptive correlational involved 15 respondents of TB-MDR patient who were undergoing treatment in poly TB-MDR of Ibnu Sina Gresik Hospital on 28 march – 28 june 2018 who were selected using consecutive sampling. Independent variable was family support. Dependent variable was self efficacy. Data were retrieved by questionnaire then analyzed using spearman rho with degree of meaning α ≤ 0,05. Result and analyze: Family support not significantly correlated with self efficacy with p-value = 0,120 or (p ≥ 0,05). Conclusion : All respondents of TB-MDR patients in TB-MDR Ibnu Sina Hospital Gresik have positive family support and high self efficacy. Suggestions for further researcher to research about health education to increase the participation of family support for TB-MDR patients.

Abstract

The prevalence of anemia in the world is 46% according to WHO and 68% of women based on Riset Kesehatan Dasar experience irregular menstruation. Menstrual cycle disorders have an increased risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. Anemia and nutritional status is one of the factors that can affect menstruation. The study was to determine the effect of anemia and Body Mass Index (BMI) on the menstrual cycle of young women. This type of research is observational analytic with a cohort study design. This study uses primary data. Initial data collection included measurements of body weight and height, blood sampling and questionnaires. The determination of anemia was carried out by examining blood samples with Hb Sahli. Determination of the menstrual cycle by filling out a questionnaire about menstruation for 3 months. Data analysis using a computer program with a 95% confidence level. Bivariate analysis using chi square with α 0.05. Multiple logistic regression is used to conduct multivariate analysis. The results showed 15% of female adolescents had anemia, 48.3% of body mass index was abnormal and 46.7% of menstrual cycle was abnormal. There is no influence of anemia and body mass index on menstruation for young women. Based on the results of the study, young women

Abstract

Precision medicine is a rapidly growing paradigm in the understanding of disease, especially in pediatric medicine. This article evaluates significant advances in genomics and gene-based technologies, and their impact on personalized diagnosis and therapy for children. The integration of genetics with epidemiology opens up new opportunities in understanding gene-environment interactions and disease disparities, which have a direct impact on childhood disease management. Nevertheless, challenges such as equitable access to genetic innovation worldwide still need to be overcome. Recommendations include improved research methods, cross-country collaboration, as well as assessment of long-term effects and greater patient involvement in clinical decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the main activities involved in public health preparedness for a global pandemic. These activities include strong supervision and monitoring, comprehensive risk assessment, adequate resource allocation, comprehensive emergency response planning, global coordination, training and capacity building, effective communication and information sharing, and continuous evaluation and improvement. In addition, strategies to ensure health system flexibility are also considered, including health service infrastructure and capacity building, health system strengthening, a multi-sector approach, an all-threat approach, flexibility in infrastructure design, and effective resource allocation and mobilization. By implementing these strategies, it is hoped that health systems can increase their resilience, responsiveness and ability to meet the needs of affected populations during the global pandemic.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in disease risk prediction and disease prevention through a systematic review of literature from 2019 to 2024. The research method used is an analysis of scientific articles published in international journals Scopus Q1. The research results show a significant increase in the use of AI in disease risk prediction, especially in the context of neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular conditions, cancer, and autoimmune diseases. The implications of this research include the potential of AI in improving the accuracy of disease risk predictions, providing timely interventions, and improving the clinical management of patients. However, the use of AI in disease risk prediction is also faced with various ethical challenges and impacts, including limited available health data, the complexity of AI models, complex interpretation of results, and privacy and fairness issues. The practical implication of this research is the need for a holistic and sustainable approach in the development and implementation of AI models in disease prevention, which takes into account the complex challenges and opportunities associated with the use of AI in health contexts.

Abstract

The recent integration of gene therapy, cell therapy, and nanomedicine technologies has become a promising research focus in extending lifespan and improving quality of life in aging populations. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of the latest literature discussing the application of these three technologies in the context of aging. The research method used is a systematic analysis of articles selected from international databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method as a guide. The results of the discussion show that the integration of gene therapy, cell therapy, and nanomedical technology has great potential in overcoming various aging problems and improving the quality of life in the elderly population. The implication of this research is the importance of continuing to develop integrated therapeutic approaches to respond to the challenges of aging, taking into account ethical, social and safety aspects in their application in clinical practice and the development of appropriate health policies.
