Abstract

Background: Maternal mortality rate (MMR) is one of the indicators used to measure maternal health status in an area. Data in Indonesia recorded that the maternal mortality rate in 2015 was 305 per 100,000 live births, but the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) target is 70% per 100,000 live births in 2030. Bleeding occupies the highest percentage of maternal deaths (28%). Anemia and chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women are the main causes of bleeding. Non-pharmacological treatment to increase hemoglobin levels by consuming foods rich in iron is green beans. Objectives: This study describes the effect of mung bean juice on hemoglobin levels. Research Metodes: This study uses a systematic review method through a literature review of 15 national journals. Results: The results of a literature search show that the consumption of green bean juice with the combination of consumption of FE tablets affects the increase in HB levels of pregnant women. However, this consumption must also be supported by good nutritional intake to accelerate the absorption and transport of iron and it is necessary to avoid drinks that affect iron absorption such as milk and caffeine. Conclusion: Green bean juice is able to significantly increase the Hb level of pregnant women with the consumption of FE tablets because the content of green beans is high in vitamin C and iron. Therefore, it is important to disseminate information to the community about the benefits and how to use mung bean juice as an effort to prevent anemia in pregnant women

Abstract

Background: Used cooking oil is a cooking oil that has been declining its quality. One way to improve the quality of used cooking oil is by adsorption using bagasse charcoal as an adsorbent.. Objectives: The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of soaking used cooking oil with bagasse activated charcoal (Saccharum officinarum) on free fatty acid levels.. Research Metodes: This study uses an experimental design with descriptive data analysis and sampling technique using quota sampling. Determination of free fatty acid levels using the Alkalimetry method. Results: The free fatty acid content before immersion was 0.33% and the free fatty acid content after soaking was 0.5 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours as follows: 0.3225%; 0.2967%; 0.2941%;0.2790%. The percentage decrease in free fatty acid levels occurred in the 72-hour immersion, which was a decrease of 15.33%. Conclusion: Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is an effect of soaking bagasse activated charcoal (saccharum officinarum) on free fatty acids in used cooking oil. The longer the soaking time of activated charcoal bagasse (saccharum officinarum) in used cooking oil, the less free fatty acid content obtained. Abstract

Abstract Background: Lead (Pb) is the most dangerous cause of air pollution. About 85% comes from motor vehicle emissions that affect lead levels in a person's blood. One of the groups that are at high risk of being directly exposed to lead pollutants in the air are people who carry out activities on the streets such as fuel filling stations (SPBU) operators. Objectives: This study aims to determine the levels of Lead (Pb) and SGPT in the blood and to determine the relationship between lead levels and blood levels of SGPT in gas station operators. Research Metodes: This research is analytical with a cross sectional study. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The Population in this study was men aged 21 – 56 years. A total of 17 samples were conducted in purposive sampling. The data was analyzed with Spearman non parametric test. Results: The result of study obtained value of significance or Sig.(2-tailed) 0.116 > 0.05, This result states that there is no relationship between lead value and SGPT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase) value. Correlation coefficient value is – 0.396. express a weak linear relationship. Negative values indicate the opposite direction of the relationship, where the higher the lead value, the lower SGPT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase) value. Conclusion: Statistical test result obtained value of p (0.116) > α (0.05), it state that no significant association between lead and SGPT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase) in SPBU operators.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Hypertriglyceridemia is a condition characterized by increased triglyceride levels >150 mg/dl. Gymnastics is a form of physical exercise that is systematic, regular, and planned by performing specific movements to benefit the body. This gymnastic activity is a form of endurance exercise that can increase lipoprotein lipase (LPL) activity in muscle and adipose tissue, increasing the breakdown of lipoproteins rich in triglycerides. During exercise, the activity of lipoprotein lipase, which breaks down triglycerides, increases. Objectives: This study aims to determine the relationship between exercise activity and triglyceride levels in female patients at the Prodia Samarinda clinical laboratory. Research Metodes: This research is observational analytic research with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used quota sampling with 47 samples of research subjects. Results: This study obtained data on the correlation coefficient between exercise and triglyceride levels -0.436. The value of the gymnastic sig. with triglyceride levels was 0.002. Meanwhile, the direction of the relationship between exercise and triglyceride levels is negative (inversely proportional).
