Abstract

Financing and financial management in private universities are important factors in ensuring the quality and sustainability of education. One of the biggest problems facing society is the high cost of education. The purpose of this study is to examine financial management procedures in private universities (PTS) in Samarinda and to determine methods for improving financial sustainability. A qualitative approach using case studies from several PTS institutions was employed as the methodology. Information was collected through stakeholder interviews, document analysis, and direct observation of financial practices. Based on the research findings, the main issues faced by PTS include excessive reliance on tuition fees, operational inefficiency, and lack of income diversification. Information technology for financial management is still underutilised, which can hinder accountability and transparency. Additionally, the absence of long-term financial planning makes sustainability and efficiency difficult to achieve. Income diversification strategies include optimising expenditures, enhancing transparency in integrated financial management systems, and securing research funds and industry alliances. To facilitate the implementation of these policies, the financial sector also prioritises human resource development. Collaboration between private universities, the government, the business sector, and alumni is crucial in efforts to improve educational standards and ensure long-term sustainability. The development of policies supporting diversification of funding sources, financial technology advancement, and budget management efficiency is expected to enhance access to inclusive and quality higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies of educational financing management in primary schools. The primary focus of this study is on how educational institutions manage, distribute, utilise, and evaluate financial resources to help students achieve their learning objectives. This study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology, collecting data through document analysis, observation, and interviews. According to the study's findings, schools employ a number of tactics, including participatory budgeting involving stakeholders, prioritising expenditures based on educational requirements, and open and accountable financial reporting. These tactics are considered successful in improving the accountability and efficiency of education fund management. Schools still face problems such as a lack of financial resources, dependence on government support, and delays in budget delivery. These results highlight the importance of good financial management plans to maintain the quality and sustainability of basic education services. Therefore, to maximise the use of education funds, it is recommended to seek alternative financial sources and enhance financial management competencies at the school level.

Abstract

According to this study, the final decision is made by the foundation's leadership after school stakeholders participate in the preparation of the RAPBS (Annual Budget Plan) for education at the end of each year. The organisational structure, headed by the school principal and the foundation chairperson, functions as a mechanism for allocating funds for education. School activities, capital expenditures, purchases of products and services, and human resource development—particularly for teachers—are all funded by this budget. The Indonesian Community Care Foundation and the education department conduct oversight, while the School Committee and the foundation are responsible. In educational institutions, effective, transparent, and open financial management is recognised as having a positive impact on improving educational standards.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers' personality competencies in shaping the disciplinary character of students at SDK Botung. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the data obtained, teachers' personality competencies are very important in shaping character, one of which is the discipline of students both in terms of time, dress, and speech, both within and outside the school environment. Good personality traits demonstrated by teachers will set a good example for students. Teachers will become figures who are obeyed in all their wisdom, advice, words and commands. It is hoped that the personality competencies possessed by teachers can shape the discipline of students, so that the learning process can run well and teachers can transfer their knowledge and be accepted by their students.

Abstract

Character formation is one of the most important aspects of education, especially for Christian students who are being prepared to become leaders, servants, and responsible members of society. Theology is not merely a study about God, but also a foundation of values that shapes a person’s attitude, mindset, and behavior. Through sound theological teaching, Christian students can understand who God is, who they are before God, and how they should live in this world. Theology teaches values such as love, honesty, responsibility, and self-sacrifice all of which are essential in building strong and healthy character. This journal aims to explain how theology actively contributes to character formation among Christian students, both through formal education and spiritual experiences in the faith community. By understanding the role of theology more deeply, Christian students are expected to integrate their faith into daily life in a real and relevant way.

Abstract

This research is entitled " Symbolic Representation of the Relationship Between Humans and Nature Thorough Literary Ecocriticsm in the Novel 3726 MDPL by Nurwina Sari".  Where this research aims to describe the symbolic representation of the relationship     between humans and nature in the novel 3726 MDPL by Nurwina Sari. The method used   in this research is a qualitative approarch, this refers to a research approach that produces descriptive data in the form of written data resulting from observing an object, namely a novel. The definition of qualitative research is research that is descriptive and analytical. Descriptive in qualitative research is presenting data or information objectively and factually, while analysis is interpretation, assessment, information or data in order to gain understanding. And the results of this research show that there are several quotes in the novel 3726 MDPL by Nurwina Sari that show symbols of relationships and nature.

Abstract

This research aims to show the representation of social class inequality experienced by the main character in the novel hello by Tere Liye through a literary sociology approach with Marxist studies. The main focus of this research is to answer how the social class inequality faced by the main character is depicted in the novel. The second focus is to answer how the impact of social class inequality faced by the main character is depicted in the novel. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with library study techniques and indepth reading. Data obtained from text quotations, narration and dialogue in the novel Hello by Tere Liye were then analyzed using Karl Marx’s social class theory. Especially the concept of bourgeoisie (upper class), proletary (lower class), class exploitation and alienation. The research result show that the social class gap in the novel Hello by Tere Liye is represented through economic differences, access to education and health services between the characters Hesty (upper class) and Togpr (lower class). From the gap between the two classes, impacts arise such as class exploitation experienced by the lower class and social alienation experienced by the two classes. This research shows social criticism of injustice and class domination in society, which is reflected in the relationships between characters and the novel’s narrative.

Abstract

Hiis research aims to describe the form of past trauma experienced by Karang's character in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini and to describe the self-control mechanism displayed by Karang's character in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. The problems described in this study are how the form of past trauma experienced by the character Karang in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini, and how the self-control mechanism displayed by the character Karang in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. The research method used is a qualitative approach with library research. The results of this study show that the main character, Karang, in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini, experienced a very complex past trauma, namely physical trauma, psychological trauma, environmental or situational trauma. This trauma was experienced from her childhood until she was a teenager. The trauma resulted in dissociative identity or multiple personality as a form of self-control mechanism, namely id, ego, and super ego.

Abstract

This study is entitled "The Character of Laisa as a Symbol of Women's Resilience in the Novel Dia Adalah Kakakku by Tere Liye Feminism Study". This study aims to describe how the symbol of women's resilience is narrated through the character of Laisa. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature approach and is supported by Simone de Beauvoir's feminist theory. This refers to a research approach that produces descriptive data in the form of written data resulting from observations of an object, namely the Novel. Data is obtained through narratives, dialogues, quotes, and actions of characters that show strength, patience, independence, and an attitude of never giving up. The problem studied in this study is how the symbol of women's resilience is represented through the character of Laisa in the novel Dia Adalah Kakakku by Tere Liye. The results of the study show that Laisa reflects a tough woman figure both physically and psychologically. This resilience is symbolized through sacrifice, struggle, struggle, and the great responsibility she bears in her family.

Where this study aims to describe Islamic character values ​​that can be represented through the main character. While the problem is how these Islamic character values ​​can be represented through the main character in this novel, namely Nadzira Shafa. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach method.
