Abstract

Lower extremity injuries, especially femur and cruris fractures, are quite common in Indonesia. In emergency cases, lateral radiographic examinations with horizontal beam directions often experience distortion and object cutting due to difficulties in placing the cassette. Therefore, a fixation device is needed that can support the position of the cassette and the examination object to produce optimal radiographs. This study used an experimental approach with a design and construction method. Data collection was carried out through functional and performance tests of the fixation device at the Klaten Islamic Hospital, as well as an assessment using a checklist questionnaire to three experienced radiographers. The fixation device was successfully designed in an L shape, made of iron plate with additional foam for patient comfort. The results of the functional test showed a success rate of 90%, met the criteria for feasibility (> 75%), indicating that the fixation device was able to support the cassette and object stably and minimize distortion in emergency radiographic examinations of the lower extremities. The design and construction of this fixation device is effective in improving the quality of emergency radiographic examinations of the femur and cruris. This device is feasible to use with potential improvements in the aspect of ease of mobility for more optimal use in the future.

Abstract

Repeat analysis is a systematic method for analyzing radiographic images repeatedly to identify and reduce errors in digital processing. This method is part of the quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) program which aims to ensure optimal quality radiographic results. According to the Decree of the Minister of Health Number 129/Menkes/SK/II/2008 concerning the standard for repeat radiographic images <2%. This study aims to determine the factors that cause repeat photos and how to prevent repeat photos at Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen Hospital. This research method uses qualitative with a case study approach to analyze repeat radiographs using Digital Radiography (DR) at the Radiology Installation of Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen Hospital. The study was conducted from September 2024 to March 2025. The population includes all radiographic images with DR modality, while the sample is the result of repeat radiographic images. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with three radiographers and one radiology specialist, and documentation. The average percentage of repeat X-ray photos on digital radiography modality in October 2024 was 1954 examinations with 122 repeats with a percentage of 6.24%, in November 2024 was 2206 examinations with 70 repeats with a percentage of 3.17%, in December 2024 was 2622 examinations with 16 repeats with a percentage of 0.61%. The percentage of repeats on digital radiography (DR) modality that occurred at Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen Hospital exceeded the standards set by the Minister of Health with repeat results> 2% in October and November 2024. The factors causing repeats are due to positioning, patient movement, exposure factors, artifacts and equipment. The suggestion to minimize repeats that occur is to increase the accuracy of the radiographer in conducting the examination.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition where a person has a hemoglobin value below normal (12 gr/dl). The prevalence of anemia is around 30% of women of childbearing age, namely 15-49 years old, suffer from anemia. In Indonesia, data on anemia sufferers shows 32%. The prevalence of anemia in DIY shows that the results of Riskesdas in 2013 amounted to 37.1% of adolescent girls experiencing anemia, and further increased in the 2018 Riskesdas results, namely 48.9% experiencing anemia. Anemia has a negative impact on adolescent girls, namely a decrease in immune system function, easy fatigue, disrupting physical, cognitive, psychological growth and development, and reducing learning concentration which can affect learning achievement. Factors causing anemia can be caused by sleep quality. Good sleep will help the body's biological process to regenerate erythrocyte cells in producing gemoglobin. This study uses a quantitative correlation research design with purposive sampling technique with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The number of samples in this study were 30 adolescent female respondents. Statistical analysis used is chi-square with a p value <0.5. The results of this study indicate that the majority of adolescent girls experience poor sleep quality as many as 18 adolescent girls (60%) and as many as 21 adolescent girls (70%) have abnormal hemoglobin values. Chi-square test obtained a value of p = 0.001 <0.5 which means that sleep quality can affect hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls

Abstract

Degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's, diabetes mellitus, and cancer, are global health challenges whose prevalence increases with increasing life expectancy. Phytochemicals, bioactive compounds found in plants, have shown potential in preventing and inhibiting the development of these diseases. Compounds such as flavonoids, polyphenols, and glucosinolates have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective activities that can protect these body cells from oxidative damage and chronic inflammation. This study suggests that consuming phytochemical-rich foods, such as cruciferous vegetables, pigmented fruits, and certain spices, contributes to a reduced risk of degenerative diseases.

Abstract

The Development of the Research and Health Agency of the Ministry of Health explained that the largest cause of AKI in Indonesia is 32.4% hypertension and/or preeclampsia and 20.3% of postpartum hemorrhage. Hypertension in pregnancy is the main cause of direct death in Indonesia at this time. Severe preeclampsia is a condition where blood pressure is >160/110 mmHg at >20 weeks gestational age without seeing proteinuria and accompanied by involvement of other organs. Preeclampsia is also still a problem, 10% of pregnant women worldwide suffer from preeclampsia, and is the cause of 76,000 maternal deaths and 500,000 infant deaths 566 each year. The purpose of this study is to find out the maternal risk factors that affect the incidence of preeclampsia at Rahmad Hidayah Hospital. The research method used a cross sectional with a sample of 60 mothers. The results of the study were that there was a correlation between the maternal age variable and the incidence of preeclampsia with a value of p=0.004 (α<0.05); There was a correlation between the maternal parity variable and the incidence of preeclampsia with a value of p=0.019 (α<0.05); There was a correlation between the variable history of hypertension/preeclamsia and the incidence of preeclampsia with a value of p=0.000 (α<0.05).

Abstract

The number of maternal deaths based on documentation of the family health program at the Ministry of Health, Indonesia had 4,627 deaths in 2020. This figure increased compared to 2019 which amounted to 4,221 deaths. Based on the cause, most maternal deaths in 2020 occurred due to bleeding (1,330 cases), pregnancy-related hypertension (1,110 cases), and circulatory system disorders (230 cases). Preeclampsia is associated with risk factors, including age; women over 40 are more likely to experience preeclampsia, as are mothers who are pregnant with many children. Using quantitative, using numerical data through retrospective surveys with cross-sectional studies. The population of all mothers who experienced preeclampsia in 2023-2024 amounted to 60 people, the research sample Total Sampling 60. The results of statistical tests showed that p.value = 0.004 and α = 0.05, where the value of P.value (0.004) <α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal age and the incidence of Preeclampsia. The results of statistical tests showed that p.value = 0.019 and α = 0.005, where the value of P.value (0.019) <α (0.005), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal parity and the incidence of Preeclampsia. Based on the results of the statistical test, it was found that p.value = 0.000 and α = 0.05, where the value of P.value (0.000) < α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal nutritional status and the incidence of preeclampsia. The results of the statistical test showed that p.value = 0.120 and α = 0.05, where the value of P.value (0.120) < α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between maternal gestational age and the incidence of preeclampsia.

Abstract

The fast fashion industry has become a dominant sector in the global economy, providing affordable fashion products and generating millions of jobs. However, behind its rapid growth, there are significant concerns regarding occupational safety and health (OSH), especially in developing countries that serve as major production hubs. Workers often face hazardous working conditions, exposure to toxic chemicals, excessive working hours, and a lack of adequate health protection. This study aims to analyze the main OSH risks and challenges in the fast fashion industry through a comprehensive literature review and comparative analysis of different countries, including Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and China. The findings indicate that weak regulations, lack of enforcement, and high production pressures contribute to unsafe working conditions. Countries with stricter OSH policies, such as China, tend to have better compliance, whereas Indonesia and Bangladesh still struggle with poor implementation and monitoring. To improve OSH standards, this study recommends strengthening regulatory frameworks, enhancing worker safety training programs, increasing corporate accountability, and promoting ethical consumer behavior. Governments, companies, and consumers must collaborate to ensure a safer and more sustainable fast fashion industry.

Abstract

Corruption in the health sector undermines efficiency and reduces the quality of public services. This study aims to analyze the current level of transparency and accountability in Indonesia’s health system governance, identify key challenges, and formulate strategies for improvement. A literature review was conducted using five selected scientific articles from national and international databases published between 2016 and 2025. The findings reveal that weak policy implementation, limited cross-sector coordination, and inadequate understanding of accountability frameworks remain significant barriers. Proposed strategies to improve governance include digitalizing procurement through e-Procurement systems and enhancing community participation in monitoring healthcare services. The adoption of technology-based systems is considered effective in promoting transparency, reducing budget inefficiencies, and strengthening public trust. Therefore, sustainable health governance reform must be supported by improving human resource capacity and increasing health literacy at the community level to build a more transparent, accountable, and responsive health system..
