Abstract

This study examines the level and factors influencing students’ intrinsic motivation in learning English at SMKN 1 Bukittinggi, specifically among 11th-grade students who struggled to meet academic standards and showed low interest in independent learning. An explanatory sequential mixed-method approach was employed, using questionnaires and interviews. The instruments were tested for construct validity and test-retest reliability. Results showed that the majority of students had moderate intrinsic motivation, with 12% displaying high motivation, 79% moderate, and 9% low. Key factors identified were strong character traits such as integrity and responsibility, self-awareness, mental resilience, and effective coping strategies for overcoming failures. These findings suggest that students’ intrinsic motivation is influenced by personal qualities and their ability to handle challenges, which play a crucial role in their engagement and persistence in learning English as a foreign language.

Abstract

This type of research is research and development (R&D). The objectives of this study are 1) to design English vocabulary card media to increase interest in learning English at SDI Utaseko. 2) to test the feasibility of English vocabulary card media to increase interest in learning English at SDI Utaseko. This study uses the ADDIE model with stages of research and development consisting of 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation and 5) Evaluation). The data collection method in this study uses a questionnaire method to assess the feasibility of the English vocabulary card media. The data in this study were analyzed using quantitative descriptive. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the English vocabulary card media is feasible to be used as the main media in increasing interest in learning English in grade IV students of SDI Utaseko. This can be seen based on the results of expert trials, including the following. 1) the material expert trial obtained an average value of 78.33% with the category "Feasible", then the media expert validation was carried out and a percentage of 94% was obtained, while the results of the product user trial obtained a result of 80% or was in the feasible category. Thus it can be concluded that English vocabulary card media can be used as the main media on the theme of Things in the Classroom to increase interest in learning English in grade IV students of SDI Utaseko.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tingkat kesadaran orang tua mengenai pentingnya pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) di wilayah komunitas rentan, khususnya di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) 2 Karya Jaya, Kecamatan Kertapati, Kota Palembang. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi fenomenologi digunakan untuk menggali secara mendalam pengalaman dan pandangan para orang tua terhadap pendidikan anak usia dini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas orang tua belum sepenuhnya memahami esensi pendidikan anak usia dini sebagai fondasi perkembangan anak. Hambatan-hambatan seperti rendahnya tingkat pendidikan orang tua, kondisi ekonomi keluarga, serta terbatasnya akses terhadap layanan pendidikan menjadi faktor utama rendahnya partisipasi dalam PAUD. Namun, keberadaan PAUD Ceria yang dikelola oleh Lembaga Satu Amal Indonesia memberikan dampak positif yang nyata, khususnya dalam membangun kesadaran dan partisipasi orang tua. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara lembaga sosial, masyarakat, dan pemerintah dalam memperluas akses serta meningkatkan kualitas layanan PAUD di daerah-daerah marginal.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong transformasi besar dalam pendidikan, khususnya dalam pembelajaran fisika yang selama ini dianggap abstrak dan sulit dipahami. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara kritis integrasi teknologi Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), dan Mixed Reality (MR) dalam pembelajaran fisika berbasis pendekatan STEM. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi literatur sistematis, yang melibatkan analisis tematik terhadap berbagai publikasi ilmiah dari database bereputasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AR mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa terhadap konsep fisika abstrak hingga 30%, AI menyediakan pembelajaran adaptif dan diagnostik kesulitan belajar secara real-time, dan MR memberikan pengalaman belajar kontekstual yang lebih mendalam. Integrasi ketiga teknologi ini terbukti memperkuat pembelajaran lintas disiplin serta memperluas akses pembelajaran yang inklusif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan kurikulum STEM yang lebih adaptif dan berbasis teknologi, sekaligus memperkaya literatur pedagogi digital di Indonesia. Meskipun terbatas pada data sekunder, temuan ini membuka peluang besar untuk eksplorasi lanjutan melalui pendekatan eksperimen di ruang kelas nyata guna memvalidasi dampak empiris dari teknologi tersebut.

Abstract

Teachers play an important role in choosing the right learning model, which is closely related to student learning outcomes. This is still not in accordance with the practice in the field where the understanding is only temporary, so that the level of student learning in solving mathematical problems is still low. The purpose of this study is to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. Class IIA students of Pondok 02 Elementary School totaling 19 students were the subjects of this study. The object of this study is an effort to improve mathematics learning outcomes in measurement material using the Problem Based Learning model. The research method uses Classroom Action Research which is carried out in three cycles. In collecting data using observation techniques and tests in the form of formative test results at the end of each cycle. For data analysis using simple statistics. The results of the study showed that the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes as evidenced by the increase in the percentage of students who achieve the learning completeness criteria from the initial condition (pre-cycle) which is 52.63% to 53% in cycle I, then in cycle II reaching 84%, and in cycle III the percentage reaches 95%. Thus, it is concluded that the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve mathematics learning outcomes in the measurement material of class IIA SD Negeri Pondok 02.

Abstract

Gamification is an instructional approach that incorporates game elements to enhance student engagement and motivation in the classroom. This classroom action research was conducted with sixth-grade elementary school students by integrating gamification techniques into the learning process. Various game-based components such as point systems, levels, challenges, and rewards were applied throughout the instructional activities. During the study, data were collected on student participation, academic achievement, and responses to the implementation of gamification. The findings indicate that gamification strategies significantly improved student involvement in the learning process. Students demonstrated greater enthusiasm and active participation during gamified lessons. Moreover, improvements in academic performance were observed among students engaged in gamification-based learning. However, further research is needed to explore in more depth the factors that influence the effectiveness of gamification across different subject areas.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Learning Station strategy for enhancing students' reading comprehension abilities, with particular focus on identifying main ideas and drawing conclusions from texts. The research employed a classroom action research design involving 33 eleventh-grade vocational high school students in Karawang. Data collection utilized diagnostic tests, classroom observations, and questionnaires. Findings demonstrated a significant transformation in students' reading comprehension levels following the Learning Station intervention. The proportion of students at the literal comprehension level decreased markedly from 27% to 3%, while those achieving the evaluative level increased from 16% to 70%. The Learning Station approach effectively facilitated students' progression through Westwood's reading comprehension hierarchy, enabling them to develop critical thinking skills in analyzing hortatory exposition texts. This research contributes to the literature on effective reading instruction strategies and provides practical insights for educators facing challenges in developing students' reading comprehension abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi program bimbingan belajar Indi’s Course dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa di desa Senuro. Fokus utama penelitian ini mencakup tiga aspek, yaitu: proses pembelajaran, metode dan media pembelajaran yang digunakan, serta hasil belajar siswa setelah mengikuti program bimbingan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi siswa bimbel, pengajar/pengelola, serta orang tua siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program bimbingan belajar Indi’s Course memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan prestasi akademik siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran, perubahan sikap belajar, serta hasil evaluasi akademik yang lebih baik setelah mengikuti program. Penggunaan metode yang bervariasi dan media pembelajaran yang sesuai terbukti dapat membantu siswa memahami materi dengan lebih baik. Penelitian ini menyarankan pengembangan program bimbel yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan sebagai salah satu upaya mendukung pencapaian prestasi akademik siswa.

Abstract

McKids menjadi salah satu bentuk pendekatan pendidikan anak usia dini berbasis bermain yang berada di lingkungan mall. Persepsi orang tua terhadap program ini menjadi penting untuk diketahui sebagai bahan evaluasi dan pengembangan program ke depannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi orang tua terhadap program Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) McKids yang diselenggarakan di mall ramah anak, yakni Depok Town Center. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket dan observasi kepada 35 orang tua yang menjadi responden dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh, dan instrument penelitian menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi orang tua berada pada kategori sangat baik, dengan persentase keseluruhan sebesar 98,11%. Indikator cara pandang memperoleh skor 97,5% dan indikator penilaian memperoleh 98,71%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa program McKids dinilai efektif dalam mendukung perkembangan anak, serta dipandang sebagai inovasi pendidikan nonformal yang edukatif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find the effectiveness of pictures in writing class of senior high school students. This research was used quantitative method with using the quasi-experimental design. The subject of the research was the second year students of on senior high school in Marga Agung Regency, South Lampung, Lampung, Indonesia. The total number of population is 42 students which are distributed in 2 classes. Each class consists of 21 students. The sampling technique used in this research is cluster random sampling. A writing test was used as the instrument to gather information on the students' writing proficiency using the images. The researcher came to the conclusion that the images improve senior high school pupils' writing abilities based on the results.
