Abstract

School accreditation is a primary instrument in the educational quality assurance system. This study aims to analyze the concept of school accreditation, its legal foundation, and its scope within the schooling system. Using a qualitative approach with a library research method, this study examines various national policies, international reports, and contemporary literatures. The results indicate that school accreditation has shifted from a compliance-based approach to a performance-based evaluation designed to foster a quality culture. In Indonesia, the legal basis for school accreditation is strongly rooted in Law No. 20 of 2003 and Government Regulation No. 57 of 2021, executed by the independent body BAN-PDM. Furthermore, the scope of accreditation comprehensively covers the eight National Education Standards spanning input, process, output, and outcome dimensions. This study concludes that school accreditation is a strategic policy instrument that functions not only for formal recognition but also to drive continuous improvement and public trust.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the various problems experienced by students in learning geometry and to examine improvement efforts that can enhance students’ learning motivation. Based on the results of the study, it was found that many students experience difficulties in understanding basic geometry concepts. These difficulties are reflected in students’ low ability to recognize shapes, understand relationships between geometric figures, and apply formulas correctly in problem-solving. In addition, students often make errors in using principles and procedures for solving geometry problems. Another dominant difficulty is students’ limited ability to understand word problems, which makes it difficult for them to translate problems into mathematical forms. The factors causing these learning difficulties originate not only from cognitive aspects, but are also influenced by emotional factors, the learning environment, and students’ low motivation in participating in the learning process. Therefore, effective improvement efforts are needed, such as strengthening mathematical communication, implementing active learning methods, and providing opportunities for students to explore and express mathematical ideas independently. With appropriate and engaging learning strategies, students’ learning motivation can increase, leading to a better understanding of geometry concepts and improved learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teacher personality represents a strategic factor in educational success, particularly within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that emphasizes balance across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions. This study aims to comprehensively analyze concepts, characteristics, strategies, and implications of teacher personality development from an Islamic education perspective through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data sources comprise ten nationally published scientific journal articles from 2015–2024, selected through identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages. Analysis employed comparative analysis and thematic synthesis. Findings reveal that teacher personality in Islamic education constitutes a multidimensional construct encompassing moral dimension (akhlak) as value foundation, spiritual dimension as self-awareness reinforcement, and professional dimension as pedagogical implementation. However, fragmentation persists between normative-religious and empirical scholarship, alongside insufficient attention to integrating personality values with digital era challenges. This study proposes an integrative and contextual teacher personality development model addressing identified gaps. These findings are expected to contribute theoretically to Islamic education scholarship and serve as foundation for formulating more comprehensive and relevant teacher personality development models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze transformational leadership from a Christian leadership perspective through a qualitative study of the film Hacksaw Ridge. The method uses content analysis of scenes and dialogues. The findings show that the main character, Desmond Doss, represents the four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. In addition, Christian leadership values such as love, service, humility, sacrifice, and faith are strongly reflected. This study finds an integration between transformational and Christian leadership, forming a holistic and value-based leadership model.
