Abstract

The period of the Prophet Muhammad SAW Hadith at this time is known as Asr al-Wahy wa al- Takwin, namely the time of revelation and the formation of Islamic society. Such a situation requires the seriousness and caution of the Companions as the first inheritors of Islamic teachings. The revelations revealed by Allah were explained by the Prophet through his words, deeds and taqrir. So that what is heard and witnessed by friends is a guideline for their practice and behavior. The second period of the history of the development of hadith is the time of the Rashidun Khulafa' (Abu Bakr, Umar ibn Khattab, Usman ibn Affan, and Ali ibn Abi Talib) which lasted around 11 H to 40 H. This period is called the period of the great companions. The definition of a friend according to the terms of hadith science agreed upon by the majority of hadith scholars, is a Muslim who has associated with or seen the Prophet and died in a state of being a Muslim. The involvement of the Prophet's companions in the process of receiving hadith is a necessity

Abstract

This article delves into the realm of Islamic thought, specifically exploring the domain of Kalam, often referred to as the science of theological discourse. Kalam, literally meaning "words," involves the intricate debates among Islamic theologians who skillfully wield words to defend their beliefs. It encompasses the study of Islamic theology or Ushuluddin, focusing on the foundational teachings of the religion. The pursuit of theological knowledge provides individuals with fundamental convictions that are resilient against easy wavering. As the narrative unfolds, it addresses the emergence of differences within the Islamic community. Initially rooted in political realms, these differences gradually evolve into theological issues over time. The theological variances among Muslims manifest both practically and theoretically. Theoretical distinctions surface through debates on various issues, with philosophical aspects taking precedence over matters such as the oneness of Allah, faith in prophets, angels, the Day of Judgment, and the teachings of the Prophet that are deemed beyond dispute. This study directs attention to the Jabariyah theological school as a focal point. The term "Jabariyah" linguistically stems from "jabara," signifying coercion. In theological terms, Jabariyah rejects human agency, attributing all actions to Allah. It posits that humans act out of compulsion, emphasizing the absolute authority and will of Allah. The theological discourse of Jabariyah revolves around the interplay between human actions and divine acts, pondering the extent to which humans are subject to the absolute will and power of Allah. The research methodology employed in this article is literature review, gathering insights from various books, articles, and journals. A critical descriptive approach is adopted, prioritizing the analysis of data sources. The investigation draws from articles and journals authored by education experts with relevant experience. The article elucidates the unclear origins of Jabariyah, with divergent views on its inception. Scholars posit its emergence during the era of the companions of Prophet Muhammad and the Umayyad Caliphate, intertwined with discussions on Qadar (predestination) and human agency in the face of Allah's absolute power. Others suggest its roots predate Islam, influenced by the challenging environment of the Arabian desert. The implications of Jabariyah's doctrine in shaping social character are explored in the context of contemporary society marked by rapid advancements in science and technology. The article contends that theological teachings must compete with other disciplines in influencing human understanding. It argues that the static nature of Jabariyah fosters a sense of human powerlessness and dependency on the absolute will of Allah, potentially hindering progress. In conclusion, the article reflects on the impact of Jabariyah's doctrine, noting its potential to engender a static mindset and hinder societal progress by emphasizing human dependency on the will of Allah. This theological perspective, seen as a response to the freedom-oriented Qadariyah school, contends that creatures have no capacity to shape their lives but merely fulfill what Allah has decreed.

The research method uses literature study with a critical descriptive approach. The results reveal the contribution of the Mu'tazilah to Islamic thought in Indonesia, with an emphasis on the concepts of monotheism, God's justice, promises and threats, as well as their important role in modern thought. Mu'tazilah thought is also associated with its influence on Indonesian thinkers, such as Harun Nasution, who fought for the renewal of Islamic thought and an emphasis on rationality in understanding religion. The implications of Mu'tazilah thought include efforts to build rational awareness in the Islamic religion, reinvigorate ijtihad, educational reform, and changes in political structures. Abstract

Islamic feminism seeks to empower women spiritually and morally, eradicate injustice, and promote gender equality in all areas of life. Humans, both men and women, have equal opportunities to obtain maqamat and ahwal in order to reach true Sufis, as stated in Sufism literature. This article aims to find out and understand about feminist thinking in Sufism in the modern era. This article uses a literature review approach. Literature search was carried out online through Google Scholar which was limited from 2012- 2022 with a search process using the keywords "Feminism and Sufism". The results of this research show that feminism is a concept that describes equality between women and men in the social, political and economic fields. Islamic feminists contribute to the production of ideas of egalitarianism and gender activism by placing women centered on their own freedom. There are very few female Sufi names in the history of Sufism because culturally women are often placed in a lower position. In the world of Sufism, the strong influence of culture which is so strict in discriminating people from this aspect of gender, makes the position of women not get a proper space. The impact of the research is expected to be able to answer various challenges for some of the problems that occur in a woman

Abstract

Among the teachings of Sufism is Al-Ittihad which was brought by Abu Yazid Al Bustami. This concept teaches about the unity between God and servants who have achieved holiness so that a Sufi who is already at the level of ittihad feels that he is one with God, one level shows that the one who loves and the beloved has become one, so that one of them can call the other. other. Al-Ittihad is achieved through fana and baqa. Fana is the destruction of the sense of awareness of the existence of the gross human body, what remains spiritually is human, for this reason, before entering the mortal stage, Sufis must pay attention to 4 things, namely Al-Sukr is a state between love and living creatures. Ash-Syatahat is a strange expression expressed by Sufis. Zawal Alhujab is a condition of a Sufi who no longer wants anything except Allah. Ghalbat Al-Syhud is the condition of a Sufi both in terms of feelings of awareness and witnessing reaching the peak of mortals then he forgets himself and there is nothing but Allah SWT

Abstract

Humans are created in pairs, male and female to getting marry and having the children. However, there have been cases of ambiguous genetalia referred to khunśa in Islam. Khunśa had two genitals, or none at all, which made her legal marital status ambiguous. On the other hand, there is the phenomenon of sex reassignment surgery and same-sex marriage along with the gender equality issues and LGBT campaigns in public spaces. On that basis, this thesis aims to explain the interpretation of khunśa marriage after sex reassignment surgery according to the perspective of contemporary interpretation and its relevance to the issue of gender equality promoted by LGBT. The author uses library research methods with a qualitative and descriptive analysis approach. The research sources are primary sources obtained from the books of Tafsir al-Jami' li Ahkam Al-Qur'an and Tafsir al-Munir. While secondary sources come from fiqh books, laws, journals, theses, and data from the internet. The result of this study is if khunśa able to fulfill the requirements and pillars of marriage, one of it is clarity of identity or gender, then nothing prevents him from marriage. As for khunśa musykil, whose gender is still in doubt, not allowed to marry, to prevent the same-sex marriage as happened during the time of the companion of Prophet Muhamad ﷺ. Thus causing the breakup of marriage (faskhu nikah). Khunśa is not the same as ‘waria’ or ‘wadam’ or ‘transgender’. In addition to the amount of damage that will occur later, LGBT behavior is a deviation from fitrah that given from Allah

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of controversies of eschatological verses found in the quran from an orientalist perspective in terms of language and to identify the factors that influence the existence of these controversies, as well as the implications for the authenticity of the Qur'an. The result of this study is that there are several forms of vocabulary that contain discussion of eschatology in the Qur'an and are influenced by the Syro-Aramaic language as claimed by Luxenberg. There is a Jewish cultural influence in Abraham Geiger's view, as well as a form of language style influenced by Christian traditions according to Noldeke. The existence of these forms of language style is inseparable from the factors that influence it, be it the interaction of Arabs with non-Arabs and so on, which many orientalists describe. This causes the entry of foreign languages which are indicated to be contained in the Qur'an. So that it has implications for doubts about the originality of the Qur'an by orientalists. The conclusion is, even though there are similarities in foreign language styles in the Qur'an, this does not affect the authenticity of the Qur'an, instead it shows that the Qur'an is the closing book and complements the previous books and is a source the spirit of monotheism for Muslims
